Chapter 3 of 10

Chapter 3

3 min read671 words

The first time I touched the magic (provisional) released by my mother (provisional), the excitement was unforgettable.

That event was so incredible that it couldn't be matched even if you added the two weeks since my birth to the 30 years of my previous life.

I want to recreate that excitement on my own.

But I didn't think it would be possible to rush, so I decided to take my time and lay the groundwork.

I waited until I could control the magic (provisional) to a certain extent before I started.

After two weeks, I was able to control it to a certain extent, so I decided to start the release training today.

Releasing means sending the magic (provisional) outside the body.

I realized that when I tried to make the magic (provisional) inside me thicker, it became difficult to control if I tried to make it thicker than my body.

To be specific, when I tried to control the magic (provisional) to be even slightly thicker than the thickness of my arm.

" I lost consciousness "

I was quite surprised when I came to.

It wasn't just difficult.

Losing consciousness means that a considerable amount of physical strength is required for control.

However, this incident happened a while ago—though it was only two weeks after birth, it was around the time I had started to get used to the control training.

The physical strength required for controlling magic (provisional) should have increased significantly compared to the early days due to the continued control training, so I thought I could do it without losing consciousness.

The only part of my body I can move freely and see is my arm, so I basically do the control training with my arm.

I can mostly do it without looking, but the release training is extremely difficult to control.

To be on the safe side, I should do it carefully with my arm, which I can see.

I thicken the magic (provisional) in my fingers to the thickness of the fingers.

The thickness of the fingers is not uniform, so I start by trying to make it thicker, or rather, extend it, from the tip of my index finger.

Just a little bit out from the tip of my index finger, I suddenly feel quite fatigued.

This level of fatigue... indeed, if I had done it when I was just getting used to it, losing consciousness would have been understandable.

However, once the magic (provisional) is outside the finger, the fatigue level does not increase over time, and I gradually increase the amount that comes out.

I try various things with the magic (provisional) outside, such as making it thicker or thinner, extending or retracting it.

The fatigue level is no different from usual.

It seems that the moment of releasing it is tiring, but once it's outside, controlling the magic (provisional) is no different from controlling it inside the body.

I experimented with how far I could extend the magic (provisional) that was outside, and at about 50 cm, the control became unstable.

In that state, controlling it was difficult, so I decided not to push myself too hard in the early stages of the release training.

After making it as long as possible without becoming unstable, I tried making it thicker or thinner, and changing the concentration.

As a result, I learned that the further the magic (provisional) is from the body, the more difficult it is to control, and the higher the fatigue level.

The control I have done so far is while the magic (provisional) is still connected to the body.

What I ultimately want to do is to separate the magic (provisional) from the body and make it float in the air like my mother (provisional) did.

So I tried to separate the magic (provisional) from my body... but here a problem arose.

... How do I separate it...?
