Zhang Yang's eyes had been a bit sore, so he rubbed his right eye. A miraculous scene unfolded. As he rubbed his right eye, his left eye unconsciously looked at the opposite wall. Suddenly, a chill rushed into his left eye, and the originally white wall began to fade in and out until it disappeared. He incredulously saw the situation in the adjacent detention room.

"Is this real? Or a dream?" Zhang Yang, disbelieving, bit his hand hard.

Damn, it really hurts, it's real, not a dream!

Zhang Yang's eyes widened, and he stood up excitedly.

However, when his right hand dropped, the different views from his left and right eyes made everything appear blurry and double.

Zhang Yang covered his right eye again and looked with his left eye. Really, he could see through the wall!

He then walked involuntarily toward the opposite wall.

The people in the detention room lay around all day, doing nothing. It was early morning, and no one was sleeping. However, everyone who came in here was too lazy to speak.

When two people were talking earlier, everyone had heard it and felt some sympathy for the young man whose head had been hit.

Seeing him cover one eye and walk straight ahead, he bumped into the wall. Everyone couldn't help but laugh, and the sympathy they had felt turned into schadenfreude.

"Is this guy's head damaged?"

"Maybe!"

"What damage? Didn't you see him using a wall-penetrating technique, but it didn't work?"

"Haha, I'm dying of laughter! Who would directly run into a wall? Did he offer his head to someone's bottle?"

The entire detention room burst into laughter. The originally boring detention room suddenly had some fun! Everyone became lively, discussing the incident.

Zhang Yang had no time to argue. The collision had caused a sharp pain in his head, making him come to his senses.

Zhang Yang hurriedly leaned against the railing and called out, "Uncle Police Officer? Uncle Police Officer!"

The police officer in the corridor walked over and glared at him, "What are you shouting for? Are you in a hurry to die?"

Zhang Yang had no time to argue with the police officer. He pointed anxiously at the adjacent room, but was too agitated to speak.

"What are you doing? Are you looking for trouble? Do you want me to detain you for another fifteen days?" the police officer scolded.

He had planned to rest and go out with his girlfriend today, but the chief suddenly called him to take a shift, ruining his plans. He was full of anger, and Zhang Yang's actions gave him a chance to vent.

Hearing such cold and heartless words, Zhang Yang suddenly came to his senses. He was in a detention room, and the police outside were not as easy to talk to as neighborhood officers!

He stepped back helplessly, gritted his teeth, and returned to his bed, still staring at the wall.

When the police officer left, the middle-aged man asked softly, "Young man, are you okay?"

Zhang Yang shook his head with a grim expression, "I'm fine."

"Why did you shout just now? These guards are not easy to talk to. Don't give them a chance to make things difficult for you. You might not be released for a month! In this place, it's better to keep a low profile and be honest!" the middle-aged man said.

Zhang Yang gritted his teeth, "Thank you, sir. I just woke up and was a bit disoriented. It won't happen again!"

He said that, but his eyes still stared at the adjacent detention room.

The middle-aged man looked at the wall in confusion, "Young man, is there something wrong with your eyes? Why do you keep covering them? Why are you always looking at that wall?"

Zhang Yang forced a smile, "Nothing, my eyes are a bit sore. I feel a killing aura from the other side!"

The middle-aged man almost laughed. He now suspected that the young man's head might have been damaged. Feeling? Killing aura? Had he read too many supernatural novels?

Zhang Yang didn't say much, recalling the scene in the adjacent room. A burly man had been choking someone, pinning them against the wall. The others in the detention room stood around, blocking the camera's view.

Zhang Yang believed that if this continued, the person would die. They were already rolling their eyes. He had shouted for the police to report this, but the guard's cold and heartless words had shocked him back to his senses. If he had told the police what he saw, it would have been troublesome. How could he explain it?

Should he tell the police that his eyes suddenly gained the ability to see through walls and that he saw what happened in the adjacent room?

He imagined two possible outcomes: being sent to a mental hospital or being captured by a research institute to be used as a lab rat. Neither was a life he wanted.

Moreover, when the guard approached, the burly man who was attacking stopped and returned to his bed. The others acted as if nothing had happened, lying down on their beds.

What shocked Zhang Yang even more was that the young man who had almost been strangled said nothing and obediently returned to his bed, acting as if nothing had happened.

Zhang Yang began to doubt his own eyes. Did he really see what happened in the adjacent room? Was it real, or was it a hallucination caused by his head injury?

After a few minutes of daze, Zhang Yang's left eye suddenly ached again.

Zhang Yang covered his left eye and rested for a while. When he opened his eyes again, he found that the scene he had seen earlier seemed like a dream. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't see through the wall. It was just a white wall standing there.

Zhang Yang shook his head with a bitter smile and lay down, looking up at the ceiling. He must have been hallucinating from the beating. It must be the alcohol still affecting him. He decided to lie down and rest.

The room was too quiet, and Zhang Yang eventually fell asleep.

At lunchtime, the kind middle-aged man woke him up.

Looking at a bowl of white rice and a bowl of clear soup, Zhang Yang was a bit stunned.

Damn, is this it? There's no dish?

"Where's the dish?" Zhang Yang asked in a low voice.

The middle-aged man patted Zhang Yang's shoulder, "Young man, be grateful. You have rice and soup! In the past, you only had cornbread. That bowl is the dish, called 'floating on water.' If you want meat, you have to pay extra, ten yuan per serving! But I advise you not to buy it. It's just a few pieces of fatty meat, and it costs ten yuan! Just endure it!"

Fortunately, Zhang Yang remembered where he was and didn't start yelling. He suppressed his anger, "Why don't they just rob us?"

The middle-aged man rolled his eyes, "Robbing is illegal, and it's not as quick as this!"

Zhang Yang didn't say anything. What else could he say? Seeing everyone around him eating, he had no choice but to eat as well.

Fortunately, he came from an ordinary family and could still eat this.

After drinking a few sips of soup, Zhang Yang looked up, feeling depressed. Suddenly, he saw the people eating at the next table. His hand stopped, and a look of fear flashed in his eyes. Oh no, weren't these the people he had seen?

The burly man across from him looked over, and Zhang Yang quickly lowered his head, his heart pounding.

He wasn't afraid of the man but was thinking that what he had seen earlier might not have been a hallucination but real.

Could he really see through walls?

Why couldn't he see through them anymore?

Was it a coincidence or was there a special reason?

These questions swirled in Zhang Yang's mind like question marks.

Zhang Yang was lost in thought and didn't notice how he returned to the detention room.

In the following days, Zhang Yang seemed to have found a goal. He kept looking at the walls and ceiling, changing angles, chanting spells, covering his left eye, then his right eye, but nothing happened as he had hoped. It seemed like what he had seen was just a dream.

After a day of futile effort, Zhang Yang finally fell into a deep sleep.

He didn't notice that his neurotic behavior had frightened everyone in the detention room. Some had already considered him a lunatic and would have fled if they could change rooms.

The next morning, Zhang Yang woke up feeling disheartened.

He no longer had any hope of seeing through walls. The initial incident was just a fluke, and he was still an ordinary person. Thinking about this made him uncomfortable. It was like getting a perfect score on a test, feeling elated and thinking he was exceptional, only to find out it was a mistake and the top scorer was someone with the same name as him. He was still an ordinary student.

When Zhang Yang calmed down and looked at the guard at the door, the astonishing scene happened again.

This time, a chill rushed into his right eye, and the double vision reappeared. He seemed to see through the guard's clothes, revealing a pair of cartoon Mickey Mouse underwear. He said "seemed" because what he saw was uncoordinated and made him feel dizzy.

Zhang Yang's mouth dropped open. Damn, is this real or not?
