Upon returning to the shack, Yeha carefully examined her prize, the 'pitch-black silk dress.'
The dress, made of two layers—a layer of mesh and a layer of black silk—puffed out into a rounded umbrella shape without a petticoat.
There was a black rose corsage near the chest, and a long black ribbon decoration on the back. The translucent fabric that shimmered faintly fell over the shoulders like a shawl.
"Hmm."
Worry lines deepened on Yeha's forehead.
Thinking about it, Yeha, who had only worn school uniforms until high school and military uniforms since being conscripted, had never even properly worn a dress, let alone a one-piece dress. So, it was quite understandable that this extravagantly ornate dress would be quite burdensome.
Moreover, she wondered if it would even be possible to fight in such a flowing outfit.
'But... this dress must have a good use, just like an umbrella.'
After all, loot is loot. It couldn't be entirely worthless.
Besides, the military uniform Yeha was wearing had not been washed in a long time and emitted a rather fatal odor. It was also torn in several places. While her body could be healed with self-healing and emergency kits, the same couldn't be said for her clothes.
With a firm resolve, Yeha slipped off her military uniform. She then carefully lifted the dress and began to put it on, step by step.
"......"
Finally, Yeha stood still in the dress.
The feel of the black silk against her skin was not unpleasant. However, such thin and fine fabric would undoubtedly be torn to shreds by a monster's claws.
The military uniform had at least some minimal special coating, but this... Yeha's gaze as she looked down at the dress was disapproving.
The divine being 'The Cat Wandering in Darkness' looks at you with an impressed expression.
Indeed, the dress suits you the most! It nods, insisting that it could never have misjudged you.
Yeha stands there, silent, as the divine being continues to gaze at her with admiration.
