He turned his head and said, "Who dares to obstruct the business of Mr. Fellen's men?" To his surprise, the one holding his arm was not a muscular thug but a blind man wearing sunglasses and holding a white cane, a rather peculiar scene indeed.
Redhead pulled out a black pistol from his pocket and pointed it at Matt's forehead: "If you don't want to die, better let go of your hand!"
"No, don't do this, I can agree to sell the pool hall!" Seeing the red-haired youth draw his gun, Jeff, the pool hall owner who had already suffered at the hands of Fellen's men, panicked. He tried to sound more confident: "As long as your price is right..."
"What did you say? You dare to take money from Mr. Fellen's men?" To Jeff's surprise, it seemed that as one of the biggest bosses in Hell's Kitchen's underworld, Fellen was determined to take over this pool hall from him.
Matt coughed and suddenly reached for the gun, speaking slowly: "Let me guess, what is this..."
Redhead's face darkened when he heard Matt speak, and he turned the gun to point at Matt: "Are you..."
"A blind man? Yes, I am blind." Matt smiled.
As Matt stepped out of the darkness, Redhead could finally see clearly that this unexpected troublemaker was indeed as if he couldn't see anything in front of him.
However, although this man's eyes couldn't see, his grip was strong, like an iron clamp tightly holding his hand.
This blind man was too unreasonable and needed a lesson.
Redhead glared at Matt, and with his free hand, he turned the gun around, ready to smash Matt's head with the butt of the gun.
If his gun could hit the Nightwatch, Redhead wouldn't just be a minor leader among Fellen's men.
Matt dodged the gun butt by slightly turning his head, guided by the sound of the wind.
He couldn't see, so he asked, "Tell me, which hand of the shop owner did you break?"
Redhead snorted coldly and didn't speak. Imir, who had been watching from the side, answered, "They broke the owner's right hand."
"Very well, thank you, Imir." Matt nodded politely and walked up to Redhead without any guard: "Now, the last issue is clear."
"You bastard, get lost!" As a capable enforcer under Fellen, Redhead didn't take Imir, dressed in a Columbia University uniform, seriously.
He raised his fist, and with a "whoosh," punched at Matt's face.
On the other side, Imir engaged in a fight with the thugs Redhead had brought. These were just street punks, swarming Imir and beating him up.
If it were the Imir from before his rebirth or the Wu Di from his previous life, he would have been beaten to the ground by now.
But Imir, now a vengeful spirit, didn't take these heavy punches seriously. He kept jumping and dodging, and when he couldn't avoid them, he instantly transformed his body into an ethereal soul form.
The pool hall was dimly lit, and the hardworking punks didn't notice the strange phenomenon around Imir. Often, they would see their punches hit Imir, but his body would distort, and the punches would pass right through him.
Imir didn't take their attacks seriously and even started to analyze his abilities: "It seems that once my body becomes a ghostly form, I can avoid ordinary physical attacks!"
"I wonder if this ability has a limit, whether I am completely immune to physical attacks or can only avoid attacks from ordinary people? What about energy attacks or magical attacks, can I avoid those too?" Hmm, this is a profound and valuable question, Imir was momentarily lost in thought.
The exhausted punks, drenched in sweat, looked at each other, panting. Was this yellow-skinned monkey too agile? Why couldn't they even touch a single hair on him?
Matt stepped back to dodge Redhead's punch, then turned and appeared behind him. Redhead tried to turn and punch, but his arm was already firmly controlled by Matt.
Just as he was about to raise his gun, Matt kicked him.
The kick was as powerful as a speeding train, sending Redhead flying and crashing into the bar counter. The gun in his hand flew out and was lightly stepped on by Matt.
The few tables of guests in the pool hall, who had been trapped by Redhead's men, cheered when they saw Imir and Matt's prowess. These spectators, who enjoyed the spectacle, cheered loudly, urging Matt to take down Fellen's men.
Imir easily knocked a few exhausted men to the ground and turned to look at Matt curiously, wanting to see how the Nightwatch, one of the superheroes, would deal with these scoundrels.
Matt squatted in front of the fallen Redhead and asked patiently, "So, sir, since you broke the shop owner's right hand, shouldn't you pay for your illegal actions now?"
"Shut up, blind man. Since I'm in your hands, do whatever you want." Redhead had worked under Fellen for years and had seen all kinds of vicious people.
He could feel the murderous aura emanating from Matt and had no doubt that Matt was a desperate man. In the hands of such men, begging for mercy wouldn't change the outcome, but he still held a glimmer of hope: "I told you, you have no evidence that I broke Jeff's hand, I am innocent!"
Matt looked at Redhead and then scanned the area where Imir was: "Is that so? But I don't agree with your defense."
He gripped Redhead's arm and gradually increased the pressure, causing Redhead to scream in pain. He knew that if the blind man in front of him applied a little more force, his arm would be broken.
He cried out, "Who made you a judge? What right do you have to convict me?"
Matt seemed to be speaking to Redhead but also explaining to Imir: "Morality is the judge, and justice convicts you! Don't hesitate to use your power; as long as your conscience speaks, you can act freely! The simplest way to deal with scoundrels is with violence!"
