Quentin originally thought he would never have the chance to see Ymir on the campus of Columbia University again. He had even prepared to attend Ymir's funeral out of sheer kindness. But he never expected that after just two days, he would encounter Ymir again in the St. John's Knights Library, which was simply unbelievable.

Ymir looked at Quentin, his eyes glowing with an eerie light.

From the primitive memories within his body, it was clear that his interactions with Quentin in life were not pleasant, perhaps even humiliating.

Although the consciousness of the body had passed, Ymir, having inherited the body, naturally inherited the grudge as well. For a vengeful spirit, revenge was a natural talent.

Ymir's eyelids flickered, and he quickly pretended to be indifferent, shifting his gaze back to the book "Requiem for the Wraith." In his mind, Quentin's name was circled in a large red circle. Hehe, a gentleman's revenge might take ten years, but a vengeful spirit's grudge was constant.

Although Ymir did not intend to deal with Quentin right away, some people were just naturally unable to let things go.

Quentin sniffed, feeling that Ymir's disregard for him had already hurt his feelings. He was like a clingy little lapdog, circling Ymir and finally focusing on the book in Ymir's hand.

He frowned, lowering his voice to a warning, "Listen, Ymir, I don't know how you managed to sneak into this St. John's Knights Library. But if I were you, I would put the book back and get out of here quickly!"

Ymir was amused. He rolled his eyes and asked curiously, "Why?"

Quentin, looking at Ymir's expression, was even more convinced of his suspicions: "Someone has made a mistake! Ymir, I know you are very favored by Father Terence at school, but it's clear he shouldn't have brought you here, let alone allowed you to wander around the library."

He laughed mysteriously, his expression exaggerated, "You won't understand how great this library is! The books here are not for lambs like you to read. If I were you, I would be very careful to avoid being harmed by powers you can't control."

Ymir didn't want to deal with Quentin. As he said, the library was filled with mysterious magical energy fluctuations. Ymir was unsure if using his怨念阴力 (yuan nian yin li, vengeful yin power) here would trigger the protective magic.

However, while he remained restrained, Quentin became increasingly excited, with no intention of letting Ymir off. Looking at Ymir, he saw him as a lamb that had wandered into a wolf's den: "Tell me, how did you bewitch Father Terence to make him commit such a mistake? Ymir, don't think I'm exaggerating. Once I inform the gatekeeper that you are an intruder, not only will you be punished, but your family will suffer as well!"

A green light flashed in Ymir's eyes. What he could least tolerate was someone threatening his family. Although in this world, his family consisted only of him and his sister, Kathleen.

Unable to bear it any longer, he stood up from his chair. Quentin, who was preparing to teach this coward a lesson as usual, was startled by the eerie ghostly fire in Ymir's eyes.

Ymir wanted to use his power to leave Quentin with a terrifying memory that would last a lifetime, but seeing Quentin's cowardly appearance, he sneered.

He felt that using his power to bully ordinary people was overkill.

Moreover, in the library, Ymir had a better way to deal with this annoying "fly." Yes, in Ymir's eyes, Quentin was just a fly buzzing around him, not worth his personal attention.

"Guardian!" Without waiting for Quentin to call the gatekeeper, Ymir snapped his fingers and called out softly. The library was unusually quiet, so the snap was particularly jarring, causing many people who were memorizing spells from the books to interrupt their recitation and cast angry glances.

The gatekeeper, who had led Ymir to the lower hall, quickly came over from the door: "What's happening here?"

As he walked over, his voice was clearly impatient: "You should all know the rules. No matter the reason, making noise and disturbing others in the St. John's Knights Library is absolutely forbidden. Do you want me to kick you out and deprive you of reading time?"

The gatekeeper's voice was not loud, but it reached Ymir and Quentin like a straight line. He had already checked Ymir's student card and knew he was a formal member of the St. John's Knights.

Therefore, his main dissatisfaction was directed at Quentin, and his gaze was stern: "Quentin, you are just a book servant. Why are you making such a commotion?"

Quentin was on the verge of tears. It was Ymir who had snapped his fingers, but for some reason, the gatekeeper suspected him.

However, even so, Quentin did not dare to be rude in front of the gatekeeper. He quickly bowed and said, "Guardian, I just suspected that I had found an intruder who entered the library through improper means, so I wanted to question him."

"Hmm?" The gatekeeper immediately became alert. The St. John's Knights Library housed many powerful texts and was the intellectual hub of the Church's combat forces, naturally attracting the attention of various hostile forces.

He nodded, accepting Quentin's explanation, and gestured for him to continue.

Even though the Rand family had significant influence in the secular world, it had cost a great deal to get Quentin into the St. John's Knights Library as a book servant.

Entering the library, if he performed well over a few years, he might be noticed by the higher-ups of the St. John's Knights. Soon, he could participate in the selection exams to become a member of the Knights, marry a Church saint, serve as a guardian knight, and reach the pinnacle of his life. Just thinking about it made Quentin a little excited.

Yes, he was destined to become a saint knight. How could he be defeated by a poor student? But now that the gatekeeper had been alerted, he needed a good idea to get out of this situation.
