"New Genetics is a new science about gene exploration and DNA processing, pioneered by Professor Farley Stillwell of our school, and is considered one of the greatest achievements of this century..."

Dr. Connors had been speaking at the podium for ten minutes, giving a brief explanation of the new genetics he had been researching.

After all, to compete with Columbia University, in addition to gaining the support of this college, the full assistance of other departments at New York Imperial University was also needed. Only in this way could they possibly surpass Columbia and secure the scientific research funding from the Tomes Foundation.

Iymir sneaked into the large classroom under Mizni's lead.

Mizni was diligently taking notes of Dr. Connors' words, while Iymir seemed somewhat distracted. He stretched his neck, looking for Spider-Man—Peter Parker—among the New York University students.

"The Tomes Foundation intends to donate a sum of money to universities in New York soon to help some special disciplines conduct more in-depth research. However, before that, we need to present corresponding results to prove the importance of new genetics. Only then can we have a better chance of securing this funding..."

"Iymir, what are you looking for?"

Mizni tilted his head and saw Iymir curiously looking around.

"Uh, no, nothing." Iymir quickly refocused his gaze on Dr. Connors. The one-armed man in a white lab coat on the podium looked very steady and rigorous, nothing like the violent lizard man in the movies. Could it be that he hasn't yet tested the drug that can regenerate limbs on himself?

"You may not all be my students, but you are all the best elites of New York Imperial University. Consider this a challenge. Whoever can submit an excellent experimental report on new genetics will have the opportunity to become my research assistant."

Dr. Connors offered a very tempting condition, then pressed his thick lips together and smiled excitedly, "Of course, I mean if New York Imperial University secures the funding from the Tomes Foundation..."

His speech ended, and applause broke out in the audience. Becoming Dr. Connors' assistant was like getting a golden ticket into the American scientific community.

Even though Dr. Connors had been quiet in the New York University classroom for a long time, his reputation in the scientific community was still very valuable.

"The one who wins this prestigious position will be me, Michael Mephisto, just wait and see, Debra!"

A gloomy voice came from behind Iymir. He turned to see a young man with meticulously combed hair, dressed like a vampire lord from a movie, with a sullen face.

Iymir took a deep breath and sensed for a moment but felt no energy from the young man, indicating he was just an ordinary person.

Considering the world he had been reborn into, where many people liked to dress in unusual costumes, Iymir had become somewhat accustomed to it. However, the words of the little girl sitting next to Mephisto caught his attention: "Mephisto, you have to beat Peter Parker first; he's an excellent student!"

Iymir immediately became excited. Great, he had finally found a clue to Peter Parker.

Considering this was New York Imperial University, and the student was named Peter Parker, who else could it be but Spider-Man? Iymir couldn't quite explain why he was so interested in these superheroes.

Perhaps it was because he, too, was different from ordinary people, possessing superpowers; or perhaps it was because only these superheroes from his previous life's movies could make Iymir feel some familiarity.

Just as Iymir's thoughts were racing, Dr. Connors smiled on the podium: "I'm glad you made it, Parker."

Everyone followed Dr. Connors' gaze and saw a young man with messy hair, wearing a jacket and jeans, looking no different from any ordinary person, hurriedly walk in from the door.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Doctor," Peter shrugged, found an empty seat in the back, and said, "I'm late because of some personal matters."

Dr. Connors, proud of his talented student, was magnanimous. He waved from the podium and said, "It's fine, good luck, thank you!"

"He looks just like Harry Potter," Iymir noticed the camera Peter was carrying. He knew Peter's family wasn't well-off, and he often worked part-time for the Daily Bugle, taking photos to earn money.

"Wait, maybe I can do the same..." Iymir's mind wandered again. If Spider-Man could do it, there was no reason he couldn't.

In terms of superpowers, Iymir, as a vengeful ghost, was more powerful and versatile than Spider-Man Peter.

Mizni hummed, "What did you say? Who is Harry Potter?" His ears were like radar, even hearing Iymir's very quiet muttering clearly.

Dr. Connors thanked the students in the audience and ended his speech.

Iymir casually brushed off Mizni's excessive curiosity and asked, "Alright, the doctor's speech is over, can we go back now?"

After the speech, Iymir realized it was actually useless. Dr. Connors was researching new human genetics, while their college focused on religious theology.

These were two completely unrelated fields, and the task of determining which discipline was more valuable was best left to the Tomes Foundation.

"Um, okay." Mizni was disappointed that he couldn't get more secrets from Iymir. He grudgingly packed his notebook into his bag and was about to leave with the New York University students.

"Mizni!" Before Iymir and Mizni could reach the door, they heard someone calling Mizni's name.

Surprised, he turned to see that it was Dr. Connors.

It seemed the doctor had already noticed this "enemy spy" who had sneaked in to listen to his speech.

"Oh, hello, Dr. Connors," Mizni reluctantly turned and greeted him. Dr. Connors slowly walked down from the podium, glanced at Iymir standing next to Mizni, nodded, and smiled, "Don't be too formal, call me Connors. How is your father?"
