Peter hung his head, ready to leave, when a large hand reached out and patted his shoulder: "Of course, as my biggest rival, Mobius, I can understand why you're in a bad mood!"
"Peter Parker, you need to cheer up, but it looks like you already know you lost from the start!"
If there was anything more annoying to Peter than Debra's constant pestering, it was definitely Mobius's incessant chatter. Peter, feeling depressed, looked at Mobius and sneered, "Don't forget, Michael, in the race between the tortoise and the hare, the tortoise ultimately won the hare."
This Mobius, with his oily black hair and cold eyes, said in a meaningful tone, "In our country, the tortoise is just a delicious meal on the table."
"Oh, what a creep, he looks like a greasy old bat!" No one knew what Peter Parker was thinking, but Imir, who was invisibly standing nearby, couldn't take it anymore!
Not wanting to talk to this old bat anymore, Peter was about to turn and leave when he suddenly looked at Mobius in surprise.
Mobius, as if influenced by an invisible force, walked stiffly toward the street. However, this wasn't what surprised Peter. He looked at Mobius with some surprise as he frantically reached out his hands for help: "What's going on? Peter Parker, what did you do to me?"
"Could it be that Mobius isn't acting on his own?" Hearing Mobius's scream and seeing the genuine panic on his face, Peter began to think.
But Mobius's actions were indeed strange, like a sudden epileptic seizure, with his limbs twitching, yet his mind remained clear.
As Peter hesitated about whether to help Mobius, a sewer grate on the side of the road was suddenly lifted by sewage, and Mobius tripped and fell into the puddle.
"My God!" Seeing this, Peter was stunned. To him, it seemed that Mobius, for some unknown reason, had jumped into an uncovered sewer.
And his luck was really bad, to encounter such a coincidental event.
"Peter, save me!" Mobius clung to the edge of the sewer, his face full of shock and confusion.
Fortunately, Imir had only done a small experiment with his powers and didn't intend to kill Mobius. Soon, with Peter's help, who was holding his nose, Mobius climbed out of the sewer.
Now, his thick black coat was covered in filth. Despite Peter's help, Mobius didn't feel grateful. Don't think he was stupid; there were only two people here, and Debra had already left.
So, who else could have pushed him into the sewer except Peter?
Could it be a ghost?
Mobius pushed away the tissue Peter offered and glared at him angrily: "I want a reasonable explanation!" He didn't know what strange magic Peter used to control his body, but the feeling was very unpleasant.
Peter took a step back. He indeed had spider powers, but he couldn't do such a thing: "No, Michael, I didn't do this."
"I..." Just as Peter was about to explain further, Mobius punched him in the face.
"Oh, no!" Imir, hidden in the shadows, didn't know the relationship between Peter and Mobius. He just felt an inexplicable dislike for this person and had an urge to play a prank on him.
However, after he acted, Imir came to his senses and stopped in time, preventing Mobius from being swept into the sewer. Yes, he had originally planned to do just that, to drown Mobius in the sewer.
The thought made Imir shudder; it was too terrifying.
"Gentlemen, I hope you're not fighting?" Just as Imir covered his eyes, not wanting to see Peter being beaten up by the tall and muscular Mobius, a charming voice rang out.
Mobius, who was holding Peter, was also taken aback. He turned his head and saw a blonde woman in a red dress, holding a textbook.
"Hi, Felicia!" Peter, despite his spider powers, didn't take the immediate threat from Mobius seriously and still had the presence of mind to greet Felicia.
Mobius, looking at the beautiful Felicia, seemed to lose his strength. He dazedly greeted Peter and Felicia: "Hi, hello..."
Felicia's blonde hair was neatly styled, her long, willow-like eyebrows exuded a rare vigor, and her large, emerald eyes were as pure as a Persian cat's. She exuded a unique charm.
Mobius pushed Peter aside, stepping between Peter and Felicia, and lavished praise on her: "Felicia, what a beautiful name."
"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Michael Mobius." As he spoke, he bent slightly and kissed Felicia's hand.
This was a hand-kissing gesture from his country, but it made Felicia feel uneasy.
"Thank you, Mobius, but Peter and I need to go." She subtly withdrew her hand, rubbed it behind her back, and then pulled Peter away, whispering, "Who was that guy? Did he escape from a horror movie?"
Peter agreed with Felicia's assessment. After a moment of thought, he said, "Maybe 'The Vampire's Revenge' or 'The Count of Vampires'? Forget about that vampire chauvinist. Felicia, what did you need me for?"
Felicia quickly forgot the unpleasantness, hugging Peter's arm and said, "Tonight is the opening ceremony of my mother's new science center, and many distinguished guests have been invited. Um, I want you to come with me, okay?"
"Wow." Imir, who was openly following Peter and Felicia, unconsciously touched his nose. It seemed that Spider-Man was indeed Spider-Man, not as pitiful as he had felt in the movies in his previous life.
Not only Felicia, but Imir now remembered that Debra was also very beautiful. He vaguely remembered that Spider-Man had a girlfriend named Mary Jane. It seemed this guy was quite the ladies' man!
