"Wait, wait, are you inviting me on a date?" Peter Parker looked at Felicia, teasing her a bit.
Felicia looked a bit shy and flustered, quickly saying, "No, no, besides you, my mom also invited Senior Kathleen, she will be there too." Imir, who had been casually strolling behind them, perked up his ears, seemingly hearing a familiar name.
Peter was also surprised: "You mean Senior Kathleen Longinus? That's great, she took care of me a lot before she graduated."
Felicia, who had only intended to change the subject, felt a bit jealous. She quickly pressed her curvaceous body against Peter and whispered in his ear, "But the person I invited is only you, Peter. You are the only one I know who can explain these boring science exhibits to me."
"Alright." Peter sounded a bit dejected, "Wait, answer my question first, is this a date?"
"Alright, alright, if you want, we can consider it a date..." Felicia finally gave in to Peter. She had never seen such an inexperienced man when it came to dating, but who could blame her for liking him a little bit?
Peter immediately cheered up, making a fist and pumping it in the air, "Great, I'll definitely go!"
"Alright then, we have a date! Meet me and Senior Kathleen at the café at 6:30 PM." Felicia was about to give Peter a parting kiss on the cheek.
"Damn it! No matter what, I have to save my sister!" Imir was already furious. He didn't realize that anything involving his sister Kathleen would always make his emotions fluctuate.
But how could he get his sister to stay away from Peter Parker, this playboy? Or should he give him a small lesson first?
Imir's eyes lit up, and an invisible aura of resentment began to emanate from him, searching for a target that matched his wishes.
"Be careful, Felicia!" A New York University student who was usually good friends with Peter stepped forward, interrupting Felicia's parting kiss. He wagged his finger and said, "Parker still has homework to finish."
"Hey, I haven't..." Peter looked at his good friend, who had interrupted such a wonderful moment, and tried to argue.
Felicia also seemed to know this friend of Peter's. She put her hands on her hips and scolded, "Flash, don't mess with us!"
Flash rubbed his forehead as if in pain. He didn't understand why he suddenly felt such a strong dislike for Peter Parker.
Unlike what Imir thought, Peter was not a playboy. Seeing the famous bookworm from New York University fall in love would usually be something Flash would be happy about.
But today was an exception. Anything related to Peter seemed to make him furious: "I want to know why, his boss called Spider-Man a big liar, that's it!"
Peter was both amused and puzzled. He couldn't understand why the usually low-key Flash would say such things to him, and he had no way to refute it: "Who said Spider-Man is a liar?"
"It's J. Jonah Jameson. You can't fool me, Spider-Man is a hero, not the leader of a super-criminal gang! This is slander, and a shameful frame-up!"
Peter was completely baffled. He pointed at Flash, "What are you talking about?"
Flash pulled out his phone from his pocket, opened the Daily Bugle website, and a video played on the screen: "We can see their brutality, just as I have been warning you, Spider-Man leads his super-criminal gang—the Sinister Six!"
Imir moved closer, but Peter and Felicia didn't notice the extra person, only feeling a slight drop in temperature around them. Their attention was still on the phone. In the video, a bulky, gray-skinned rhino man with a horn on his head was causing chaos.
He lifted a yellow Ford car from the street and smashed it into a nearby armored car. Imir estimated that a small car weighed at least 1.6 tons, and it didn't seem to be the rhino man's maximum limit.
Well, even though he knew this was a world with active superheroes, Imir was still deeply shocked.
Unlike Imir, for Peter, this rhino man was an old enemy of Spider-Man.
His real name was Alexei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, originally a Russian immigrant to the United States. Due to his simple-mindedness, he couldn't find a job and had to work as a thug to make a living.
However, because of his immense strength, he was later recruited by a West European crime syndicate on the East Coast of the United States, who lured him with money to participate in an experiment that attached a polymer to his skin.
In the experiment, the West European organization used radiation and gene-altered chemicals to attach a layer of tough polymer to his skin and gave him a rhino horn, turning him into the powerful Rhino.
The rhino-like shell could withstand normal high temperatures and extreme cold, and was nearly impervious to close-range attacks. The experiment gave him super strength, speed, stamina, and durability, so he was often hired by the mafia as a thief and killer.
However, despite being almost invincible to ordinary people, the Rhino was always defeated by Spider-Man in his long criminal history. He would repeatedly escape from prison, commit more crimes, and then be sent back to prison by Spider-Man due to his simple-mindedness.
Actually, Imir thought the Rhino wasn't that unlucky. In a big city like New York, where superheroes were everywhere, he had committed so many crimes without encountering someone like Daredevil or the Punisher. Wasn't that a stroke of luck?
"Hey, look!" Felicia exclaimed. In the video, a person dressed exactly like Spider-Man leaped down from the sky, spoke a few words to the Rhino who was destroying the city, and then led the Rhino to charge at the armored car.
Imir knew this person was just dressed like Spider-Man because Peter Parker was right in front of him. He didn't think Peter had learned how to clone himself.
But to outsiders, it wasn't that simple. It looked like Spider-Man was indeed leading them. In the video, Felicia and the others also recognized Doctor Octopus, Electro, Mysterio, and Scorpion, all of whom were super-criminals who had been defeated by Spider-Man and sent to prison!
