Yimir thought for a moment and then wrote in his notebook: "I seem to have the ability to enter dreams, like a master, I can freely manipulate the dream world." Ghosts from all times and places have the ability to enter dreams, and they can do so without expending any yin energy, as if it were an instinct like human breathing and speaking.

Yimir, who had already died twice, possessed a grudge force that even Satan in hell would drool over. However, he only used this ability unconsciously last night, and if he had the chance, Yimir wanted to try it again while fully awake.

There was also an obvious change that had occurred right before his eyes, but Yimir was not yet fully aware of it.

After the yin energy from his失控 last night, the entire apartment building on 54th Street in Hell's Kitchen had transformed into a cursed land.

However, this cursed land is a parallel inner space to the real world, usually not visible. This space can be manipulated by Yimir, like a world sandwiched between the human world and hell.

Under the deep erosion of the cursed yin energy, any living person who mistakenly enters the cursed land without Yimir's protection will surely die without a trace. Like a curse, it will relentlessly pursue until death unless Yimir removes it.

If such an ability had appeared in Yimir's previous life, he would have become an invincible and unsolvable fierce ghost, like Kayako in "The Grudge" or Sadako in "The Ring."

Unfortunately, this is the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and besides Tony Stark, there are countless superheroes and supervillains.

For these mutants who surpass human abilities, even Yimir's fierce ghost power is not a particularly strange or unusual skill.

Waving his hand, a cold yin wind rose. Yimir was about to further experiment with his abilities to see how far they had progressed when he suddenly heard a roar from the hallway:

"Look clearly, you bastards, this is the transfer document for the apartment building. From now on, this building no longer belongs to that scum Kirkley. From now on, you will pay your annual rent to me, the great Babu. Do you understand?"

Yimir's wooden door had poor soundproofing, and the voice from outside was shrill and high-pitched, sounding like a dying drake's "quack" as it was thrown into boiling water to be cooked.

Yimir, who was considering what other supernatural abilities he might have, did not intend to pay attention. After all, no matter who the building's ownership was transferred to, he and his sister would still have to pay the full rent every year.

Inheriting the body's memories, Yimir knew that his family did not have much savings. Being able to rent this two-bedroom, one-living room apartment at such a low rent was already a great deal.

If the apartment were not in Hell's Kitchen, a similarly sized apartment in Manhattan would cost at least twice as much.

Yimir did not want to cause trouble for his sister Kathleen. He let out a heavy sigh through his nose and prepared to continue his research calmly.

However, although Yimir did not want to cause trouble, the drake voice outside would not stop: "By the way, as protection fees from the great Babu for you maggots, in addition to the annual rent, you will have to pay an additional monthly management fee. This fee, the great Babu doesn't want to make it too difficult for you, so let's just double the rent."

Doubling the rent would make the apartment's rent higher than the housing prices in Manhattan. This immediately enraged the residents, who began to complain:

"How can this be? Kirkley already collected all the rent for three years in advance when we signed the lease. How can you suddenly change it?"

"Yes, yes, the price is too high. How can we afford to rent here?"

A timid voice added, "For some reason, I felt a chill in the apartment when I woke up this morning. I had nightmares all night. Could something unclean have infested our apartment?"

In any case, everyone was opposing Babu's sudden price hike. Yimir heard everything clearly from inside and felt some hesitation. If the rent went up, would it put too much pressure on his sister?

These were not Babu's concerns. Suddenly, a gunshot echoed in the hallway, and the drake voice rang out again:

"Alright, you bastards, since you signed a contract with Kirkley, go fulfill it in hell. No matter what, you must pay me the first month's rent today, right now!"

This was outright robbery, but with the smoke still rising from Babu's gun, the hallway fell silent. No matter how angry or furious they were, no one stood up to fight Babu.

Well, maybe they could overwhelm Babu if they all attacked at once, but behind Babu stood a big shot in Hell's Kitchen. Everyone knew Babu was just a street thug, but what if he was acting on orders from the big shot?

Fear of death is a human instinct, and Babu couldn't help but laugh heartily as the gathered residents dispersed.

Yes, although he didn't quite understand why his boss wanted him to evict these pitiful maggots from the building, since it was a task given by the boss, he had to do it properly.

Of course, if he could complete the boss's task and make some money for himself, that wasn't a bad idea.

Yimir gritted his teeth in hatred. Wasn't this forcing him and his sister to a dead end? Although his sister had joined Stark Industries, she hadn't been officially hired yet, and her salary was not enough to support the two of them in Manhattan.

His face darkened, and he secretly considered whether he should take action to eliminate this drake. Yes, Yimir had the power!

But before Yimir could go after Babu, the drake voice came to his door, pounding and shouting, "Kathleen, my beautiful Kathleen, open the door! The kind and gentle Babu is here to collect the rent!"

Truly, ignorance is bliss. If Babu could see the greenish ghostly light flickering in Yimir's eyes, he might not dare to step into Yimir's home, this extremely cursed land, even if he had seventeen or eighteen more lives.
