Lü Xiang had already paid the taxi driver in advance and left a generous tip, so Kathleen and Ymir got out of the car and went straight to their rooms. Although the opening party of the new technology center was ruined by the demon, it was already late at night when they got home.

Kathleen returned to her room, lay down on the soft bed, and let out a long sigh.

However, she couldn't relax yet; there was something she needed to do. She pulled out a black suitcase from under her bed. Her slender, agile fingers pressed a slightly raised button on the bottom of the suitcase, and the black box unfolded into a laptop.

If Ymir were here, he would definitely be able to guarantee that this was not something they could afford. Moreover, such high-tech equipment was unlikely to be available at any random street shop in New York.

As the computer booted up with a "beep," Kathleen's usually gentle and serene face immediately became serious. Her beautiful face took on a stern expression, and her eyebrows gradually furrowed.

The computer screen lit up, then entered the boot screen, with a series of incomprehensible characters flashing on the screen before forming a dark blue boot screen.

On the screen was a logo of a spreading eagle, with a dialog box below it: "Welcome back, please enter your access code."

Kathleen's delicate fingers tapped on the keyboard, entering her code and password.

Then, she took off the earring from her left ear and pinched it, causing a small port to extend from it. At this point, the computer had already verified the code, and Kathleen plugged the earring's port into a hidden slot on the back of the laptop.

She operated the computer, and the progress of data upload appeared in the lower left corner of the screen. On the main screen, a crystal-clear image appeared, showing the scene of the opening ceremony of the new technology center that evening.

Kathleen thought for a moment, deleted the previous data, and kept only the part from Herbert Langdon's speech to the moment the demon disrupted the event.

She edited the video and transmitted it to headquarters, rubbed her eyes, and was about to turn off the computer and go to sleep. However, the response from headquarters was quick. A series of characters with a specific pattern appeared on the screen.

Kathleen's gaze fell on the string of characters, and her face turned pale. This was the internal intelligence code of the organization. She closed her eyes, arranged the characters according to a specific method, and formed a message in her mind.

"Mr. Fury: Someone planned to target your brother a week ago."

Kathleen's heart tightened, and she quickly replied on the computer: "Who is it?"

Mr. Fury: "Quintin, Quintin Langdon."

A cold look flashed in Kathleen's eyes. It seemed that the attack on Ymir in the New York suburbs was orchestrated by this Quintin. She quickly connected the dots to Herbert, who gave the speech that evening; they were father and son.

She would not allow anyone to harm her brother: "Can I take defensive action?"

Mr. Fury: "Not yet, we have already sent someone to warn the Langdon family."

Kathleen's expression was surprised. She didn't know that there was a powerful force hidden around her brother: "What should I do next?" Mr. Fury was the highest-ranking director of their organization, and he wouldn't contact her, who was still in the internship phase, without further instructions.

Mr. Fury: "Postpone approaching the big shot. We will send someone to take over your work. The command center has just detected two new energy signals at the new technology center, at the same location as the video you just sent. You are responsible for investigating this matter."

"The big shot" was Tony Stark's code name. Kathleen's expression turned somewhat helpless, but since a new task had been assigned, she had to obey unconditionally.

Fortunately, Mr. Fury had said to only postpone the action, not to leave Stark Industries. This meant she could still stay by Tony's side.

A sweet smile appeared on Kathleen's lips, but she shook her head gently. She knew Tony Stark's personality too well; her affection for Tony could only remain at this level, and there was no future between them.

More importantly, who was hiding at the new technology center? Kathleen only remembered the conflict between Spider-Man and the demon, and she had only intended to send a memo back to headquarters. She didn't realize that there were other hidden superpowered individuals involved.

Quintin Langdon! Kathleen remembered this name. If she had the chance, she would make Quintin regret it!

*************************

Kathleen was busy with her work, and Ymir, who had returned to his room, couldn't relax either. He had just turned off the light and climbed into bed when he heard a "rustling" sound outside the window, as if something was moving along the wall.

Ymir opened his eyes, and two ghostly green flames bloomed in the darkness. He knew something was coming. Sure enough, as Ymir sat up in bed, a red webbed head cautiously peeked in from outside the window.

"Knock, knock, knock" The webbed head gently tapped on Ymir's window, signaling him to open it.

"Spider-Man again!" Ymir sighed, reluctantly got out of bed, and opened the window, saying irritably, "It's so late, shouldn't you go home and sleep? Your mom is calling you for dinner!"

"My mom?" Spider-Man clearly didn't understand Ymir's Chinese-style humor and flipped into Ymir's room through the window.

"Do you live alone? Your place looks really clean!" Spider-Man sat down in Ymir's room, looking around: "I live with Aunt May. She comes to clean my room every day, but I always mess it up. It's terrible."

Ymir tried his best to control himself, reminding himself that Spider-Man was a good person, just a bit chatty. Otherwise, he might have impulsively cursed Spider-Man, making him experience the torment of bad luck.

But even without Ymir's curse, Peter's life didn't seem to be going well.

"I was supposed to go on a date with a girl tonight, but it's all the demon's fault. Why did he have to cause trouble today? I missed the date again. Felicia will hate me..."

Spider-Man looked dejected and pitiful, pouring out his troubles to Ymir. Ymir gripped the bedsheet in his hand, trying to calm down, and slowly said, "Can I assume that you're staying up late to come and tell me about your dating failures?"
