Chapter 4

This announcement for the VIP release is a bit late, coming out 24 hours after the VIP chapters were published.

I had prepared two plans.

If the subscription numbers were poor, I would post a Korean drama-style emotional plea, crying and begging the readers to support the official version and subscribe more.

If the subscription numbers were good, I would post a cheerful American sitcom-style announcement, then act cute and beg the readers to support the official version and subscribe more.

You see, I’m just too damn clever, hahaha.

Yes, I believe you can tell from my tone that I’m in a good mood.

Thanks to the support of the readers, the 24-hour subscription numbers didn’t flop; they were about twice what I expected. This makes me feel very relieved, as the efforts I’ve put in over a long time haven’t been in vain. The aching back from sitting for too long, the brain cells that have died in large numbers, and the belly that has grown a bit, you can all rest in peace now.

For this book, I almost gave up all my entertainment activities. I can only play a quick match of LOL with the AI to get the first win of the day. Every afternoon, after returning home and having dinner, I go for a one-hour walk (sitting in front of the computer for a long time is really harmful to your health; a Qidian author recently died suddenly, which really scared me. I have to exercise). Then I start writing until 12 o'clock. From my author name, you can see that I really like sleeping in, but since I started writing, even on holidays, I get up at around 7 or 8 in the morning and sit by the computer to write.

Apart from the official writing time, even when I’m walking, eating, sleeping, or using the toilet, my mind is almost always thinking about the plot and describing the virtual world. Sometimes, when I think of a good plot twist or an interesting dialogue, I immediately take out my phone and jot it down with a silly smile (I don’t know how many times I’ve been mistaken for a weirdo by passersby).

To achieve the current results, besides my own efforts (yes, I’m being a bit vain), of course, it’s inseparable from the support of the readers.

The beginning of this book wasn’t smooth. After signing the contract, it went a whole month without any recommendations. There were few readers, and the popularity was low. But even at such times, there were readers who were afraid I would abandon the book and left encouraging comments in the book review section. There was also a reader named Yangguang·Shu, who was not only the first disciple of this book but also, for a period, left encouraging comments in my personal center every time there was an update. And there was a reader named Fenghuaxuueyue, who gave a 10,000-point reward right after the book went VIP... I really hope there are more rich readers who will read this book.

Apart from these representative readers, there are many more who have been silently supporting me. You are the unsung heroes. I deeply appreciate your support. It is because of you that this book has achieved its current success. Although it may not be much compared to the big names, I am already very satisfied.

However, being satisfied doesn’t mean being content with the status quo or stagnating. I hope that with the support of the readers, this book can continue to move forward step by step, steadily and firmly, climbing to even greater heights!

Alright, that’s enough of the emotional stuff. Let’s get to the practical part.

Additional chapter plans:

1. For every 100 more average subscribers, one additional chapter will be added (valid until the book is completed).

2. For a large reward or the appearance of an Alliance Leader, two additional chapters will be added (valid until the book is completed).

3. For a medium reward or the appearance of a Sect Leader, one additional chapter will be added (valid until the book is completed).

4. For a cumulative reward of 50,000 Qidian coins, one additional chapter will be added (valid until the book is completed).

I wonder if there will be an Alliance Leader by the time the book is finished? Haha, just thinking about it, everything will happen as it should. If we need to compete for the monthly ticket ranking in the future, we’ll consider exchanging updates for monthly tickets.

That’s all.
