Eunseo asked her coworkers nervously, “Is this an expensive bag?”

“What? You didn’t even know?” Heesun looked at her in surprise.

Eunseo murmured, “No, it was a gift…”

“It’s a medium sized bag. Last year, I went to the department store and saw that it was almost 5000 dollars. I’m guessing it’s probably more expensive now. You know how luxury items are getting more expensive nowadays.”

5000 dollars? Eunseo felt herself becoming dizzy.

Suddenly, Hong Yeri appeared from nowhere and asked, “By the way, who gave you such an expensive gift? A boyfriend?”

Eunseo began to sweat. She didn’t know how to respond, so she only looked around nervously. Just then, Seo Hyunwoo stood up and announced,

“Now, it’s time to get back to work. The meeting will start in a few minutes, so please get ready.”

Everyone grumbled and left Eunseo, who sighed in relief.

He didn’t mean to upset her last night. Logically speaking, if Eunseo and Seo Hyunwoo ended up dating, Jihwan was going to lose her. But he still gave her advice because he felt sorry for her.

Last night, when she became furious, he wanted to kiss her. It took everything he had to control himself.

Jihwan made her so angry, so he was afraid Eunseo might not come to his office today. As time passed and got closer to 2 o’clock, he became nervous.

Just then, he heard a knock on the door. Jihwan jolted, but quickly put on a calm face.

“Come in.”

Kang Eunseo walked in, and he studied her face. Thankfully, she didn’t look as angry as yesterday. Suddenly, she bowed and announced,

“I am so sorry about last night, Mr. Kwon. You were buying me delicious dinner and all, and I was very rude to you.”

Jihwan almost sighed in relief, but he controlled himself. With a calm look, he replied,

“No, it was me who said some harsh words. I apologize for upsetting you.”

“I wasn’t upset.”

“Good. Then are we okay now?”

“Yes, Mr. Kwon.”

When Eunseo even smiled a little, Jihwan was relieved. She rarely smiled, so this had to mean that she wasn’t angry at him.

“Ah, did you receive the bag? I asked the delivery man to get it to you this morning,” asked Jihwan.

“I did. People at the office told me it’s a very expensive bag.”

“I was only replacing your bag I ruined yesterday, so don’t worry about it. Do you like it?”

Without answering his question, Kang Eunseo asked suddenly, “Did you pick it out yourself, President?”

Jihwan blinked. “Of course I did. Who else would pick it?”

“Someone else could have picked it out for you. Maybe Secretary Shin…”

“Secretary Shin is also a man, so he wouldn’t know anything about women’s bags either. Besides, I couldn’t call him after work hours just to pick a bag for me.”

“I see,” Eunseo mumbled. Jihwan thought this was the end of their conversation, but Eunseo suddenly looked up at him and continued,

“My bag that was ruined wasn’t even 100 dollars. So I don’t think I should be accepting such an expensive bag as a replacement.”
