Seo Hyunwoo replied, “Then I’ll call you later.”
“Okay, Hyunwoo,” Eunseo replied. As she watched him walk away, Eunseo suddenly realized that Sunday was Christmas. She flinched, but it was too late. Seo Hyunwoo was gone.
It felt strange to be meeting him on Christmas day, but she couldn’t suddenly say no to him now. Eunseo had no choice.
She continued to walk to Jihwan’s office. Secretary Shin, who had been waiting for her, brightened when he saw her.
“Ah, Miss Kang, there you are!” he greeted.
Because they passed by each other every day, they have become good friends. Eunseo smiled and greeted back, “Hi! How are you?”
“I’m good. You know… I’m so thankful to you for doing this, Eunseo. I’m going to have to buy you lunch sometime.”
“It’s no problem. I’m just sitting here for two hours, so it’s no big deal.”
“But I feel so guilty…”
When Secretary Shin looked genuinely apologetic, it was now Eunseo’s turn to feel guilty. Secretary Shin had no idea he was taking Chinese lessons because of her. But at least he seemed to be enjoying learning it, so she was glad.
Eunseo replied, “You really don’t have to worry about it. You should head out or you’re going to be late!”
“Thank you, Miss Kang. I’ll see you later!”
After Secretary Shin left, Eunseo took a deep breath before knocking on Jihwan’s door.
“Come in,” his blunt voice answered.
Eunseo hesitantly walked in. She found that Kwon Jihwan was staring down at his paperwork as if he wasn’t interested in her at all.
But she still needed to give him his gift. She already bought it, so…
Eunseo wanted to run away, but she scolded herself for being a coward.
“Umm, Mr. Kwon…”
Jihwan finally glanced up at her. But just like yesterday, no, it was even worse than yesterday, Jihwan looked at Eunseo coldly. He waited quietly, and the tiny bit of courage Eunseo managed to muster disappeared.
“You seem very busy lately. I brought my breast pump, so I just wanted to tell you that you don’t have to worry about me today either.”
Eunseo said something completely different from what she planned on telling him. She felt uncomfortable, so she was about to turn around and walk out.
There was no way she could give him his gift now.
“Is that all?’ Suddenly, Kwon Jihwan asked, making Eunseo flinch. “I asked you if that’s all you wanted to tell me.”
His sharp eyes were piercing right into her soul. Eunseo had no idea what else she was supposed to tell him.
After a minute of panicking, she finally bowed respectfully and replied, “Thank you so much for lending me a private place.”

After Eunseo left, Jihwan rose and walked around the room impatiently. He could hear the mechanical sounds of the breast pump, and feeling annoyed, he took off his jacket roughly and threw it on the sofa.
Dammit, she was going to dump her precious honey milk down the toilet.
Jihwan was desperate to go out right now and drag her inside. But if he did, he knew it would only make him look like a madman.
Jihwan couldn’t understand his own emotions. He felt so angry. He didn’t even like Eunseo talking to his secretary for a few minutes.
How could Eunseo do this? Yesterday, he made it clear she knew how upset he was. Yet she didn’t even do anything. Eunseo didn’t even ask him what was wrong.
Jihwan planned on asking her to use her breast pump again today. But when he saw that she brought it anyway, this made him angry too. Eunseo accepted his rejection so easily, and this drove him crazy. And when he gave her another chance to say something, all she did was thank him for lending her a place to pump.
Jihwan rubbed his face roughly. At this point, he was questioning his own worth.
Could it be that Seo Hyunwoo was a better catch?
To be fair, Seo Hyunwoo was a good-looking man himself. But objectively speaking, Jihwan was confident that he was more handsome.
And of course, there was the matter of wealth and rank. No one could deny that Jihwan was richer and had more potential for the future.
So why?
Why did Eunseo enjoy bodily pleasure with him but gave away her heart to that jerk?
Jihwan suddenly remembered how Eunseo said Seo Hyunwoo was the only one who looked at her eyes rather than her breasts.
Did Eunseo think he was just like any other man?
Jihwan felt like this wasn’t fair. It was true that he was crazy about her sweet milk, but it wasn’t just her breasts he was interested in.
He loved watching Eunseo eat. Jihwan knew what kind of face she made whenever she ate something she liked. He also saw how she sobbed because of love.
And Jihwan also knew how attractive she became when she got angry.
