Chapter 7

Based on the information provided by the Red Queen, the group arrived at a sewer. The smell in the sewer was extremely foul, as it was the hive's sewage channel, leading directly to the exit on the top floor. However, Chen Hang knew that this path would not be easy. The Red Queen would never let the group escape easily.

After turning a few corners, a heavy panting sound reached the group's ears, and everyone's expression changed. "Climb up the pipes quickly! Everyone, hurry!" Alice shouted loudly. Soon, several exits of the sewer were swarmed with disgusting and terrifying zombies.

Chen Hang helped Alice up first, and with her assistance, he climbed up the pipes as well. Then, he used his proficient gun skills to help the others. Seeing the increasing number of zombies, Chen Hang couldn't help but urge, "There are too many of them, everyone, move faster!"

Despite Chen Hang's help, Kaplan was unfortunately bitten on the thigh by a zombie and struggled for a long time before breaking free. A large chunk of flesh was missing from his thigh, causing him to scream in pain. Finally, everyone managed to climb up the pipes and cautiously walked along them.

Countless zombies followed the group, their pale hands raised high, their mouths open in terror, greedily sniffing the scent of the living. After walking for some distance, the group's stamina began to wane, especially for the injured Rayne and Kaplan, whose conditions were even worse. The group had to stop to rest.

Sitting on the pipes, looking down at the greedy zombies howling below, everyone felt disheartened, and a sense of despair spread among them. Kaplan's face was pale as he glanced at his wound and said dejectedly, "The Red Queen was right, we're all going to die here."

"No! We can definitely get out of here," Alice said seriously, looking at Kaplan. "All of us!"

Seemingly influenced by Alice's indomitable spirit, Kaplan regained some confidence. Chen Hang, taking advantage of the group's rest, took out his dagger, attached it to the gun, and stabbed the zombies' heads. In a short while, he killed over ten zombies and earned several hundred evolution points.

Of course, if he used the gun directly, it would be much easier. However, he only had half a magazine of bullets left, and he still needed to protect the main characters, so he didn't dare to waste them.

The journey was uneventful, and the group finally reached the laboratory's outer area. Just a bit further, and they would reach the hive's exit.

Seeing they were almost out, Chen Hang couldn't be happy. Because he knew the Red Queen would never let them go easily! Outside, there was the most terrifying monster—the Licker!

When they passed through the corridor, Alice strangely stopped.

Seeing Alice in a daze, Matt couldn't help but ask, "Hey, what's wrong?"

At this moment, Alice had recalled most of her memories, and everything related to the T-virus came back to her.

After a moment, she exclaimed joyfully, "There's an antidote!"

"There must be an antitoxin serum!" Alice said to Rayne, "You'll be fine!"

With that, she hurriedly entered a laboratory. The group followed her into a laboratory filled with water. The water level was high, and Chen Hang was submerged up to his thighs.

"The antidote must be here!" Alice said confidently.

Matt couldn't help but ask, "How do you know?"

"Because I was originally planning to steal it."

Matt was stunned and looked deeply at Alice, "My sister came here to obtain information about the T-virus. She had an inside contact..."

Alice turned around and looked at Matt, "I am your sister's inside contact!"

"You betrayed her!" Matt's face was expressionless, but his anger was rising.

"I didn't know..."

"This whole thing is because of you!!"

"I can't remember."

Matt grabbed Alice's arm and said in a deep voice, "Tell me the truth!"

Seeing Matt on the verge of losing control, Chen Hang didn't hesitate and pointed his gun at Matt's head, "Let her go!"

At that moment, Chen Hang really wanted to just kill Matt. Because the one who killed Matt's sister was the previous owner of his body! When the truth came out, even if Alice didn't make things difficult for him, Matt might still try to kill him!

However, the damn system had given him the task of protecting Alice and Matt, which frustrated him.

Alice pulled away from Matt's grip and said softly, "I really can't remember the truth..."

After saying that, she turned and began searching for the T-virus and the antidote. Chen Hang became nervous!

If he remembered correctly, Alice would not find the antidote and would regain all her memories, including the truth about the T-virus being stolen by his body!

Alice stood in the water, trying to figure out why the T-virus and the antidote were missing. As she pondered, she suddenly froze, and all her memories flooded back.

Chen Hang had been closely watching Alice's expression. Seeing her recalling her memories, he tightened his grip on the gun. He had made the worst decision... if Alice and Matt didn't forgive him, he would have to take drastic action.

Although he wouldn't gain evolution points, it was better than dying... If he really died, the damn system couldn't bring him back to life.

Chen Hang noticed Alice's expression change, and she looked at him with a complex expression.

"It was you, Spence! You stole the virus!"

Chen Hang's eyes narrowed!

Alice had finally remembered everything!!
