Ch65 - Extra 1.1

11 min read2,831 words

A cool breeze blew in the courtyard on a summer night. At the same time, a full moon rose high in the sky, scattering silver moonlight on the ground.

Ye An leaned against the chair with one hand cupping his face as he listened to Qin Lang talk about the past with a serious face. By the time he finished, Ye An had learned a lot of things.

He found out about how Qin Lang had been picked up by Ji Qinghuai and his gentle male god brother used to be a street tyrant. No, he was still a little tyrant and the rose-coloured glasses instantly shattered.

But it didn’t matter. The male god was still a male god, but now he was his brother.

Little brother Ye was proud to have such a big brother!

Among the stories he narrated, Qin Lang also mentioned that Ji Qinghuai had once praised Ye An and that they had met because of Ji Qinghuai’s Weibo wedding announcement on May twentieth. Hearing this, Ji Qinghuai leaned over and said, “In that case, I’m your matchmaker. When you get married, you two will have to wrap up a big red envelope for me.”

Now that everything had settled down, the marriage of these children was of utmost importance for Ji Xianzhi and Qin Xiaorou.

Although Ji Qinghuai and Xie Yan had received the marriage certificate, the wedding had yet to be held and with Qin Lang and Ye An also together, the two elders discussed with them and decided to hold their wedding on the same day. It would be a lively and enjoyable wedding. And so, the date of the wedding was set for next month.

Qin Lang smiled softly, “I have the red envelope prepared, I can’t miss your share.”

Ye An was a little embarrassed and said, “I’ll prepare one too.”

“Children can be taught.”

Ji Qinghuai praised Ye An and turned to look at Xie Yan cheerfully. “Two red envelopes came into my hands so easily, I really am a genius when it comes to making money.”

He began to think out of the blue, “Yanyan, I suddenly feel that I have the potential to play matchmaker for people, why don’t I switch careers and help people untangle the red thread of fate?”

Xie Yan thought about the question seriously and said, “I still prefer the Film Emperor.”

“Didn’t you say my acting skills were so-so?” Ji Qinghuai was disgruntled.

Xie Yan: “…”

This…It was two years ago.

Ji Qinghuai continued to turn over old accounts and continued, “He looks good but his acting skills…It’s so-so.”

Xie Yan: “…”

Therefore, in this world where people coexist with demons, even if it is just in front of a cat, you need to be cautious about your words and deeds. If you say something wrong and upset someone, and is taken to heart, there will always be a pit waiting for you.

Xie Yan tried to explain, “I only saw one of your early films at that time, the acting skills… was a little green… ”

Ji Qinghuai decisively demolished the stage and questioned, “What about when you were on the set?”

He smiled harmlessly. “You praised me at that time. The two comments were far from similar.”

Xie Yan: “…”

“So you’re also bullshitting me with a straight face.”

“I…” Xie Yan tried to defend himself.

“Won’t listen, won’t listen.”

Xie Yan: “…”

Qin Lang and Ye An bathed in the moonlight and watched the play unfold silently. They were also a little speechless. Ji Qinghuai watched him sit still, without any intention of going to sleep. He asked meaningfully, “Why don’t we sleep together tonight?”

Qin Lang: “…”

Qin Lang pulled Ye An’s hand decisively and got up and left.

You can harm whoever you like, bye-bye.

The two big light bulbs were gone, and only Ji Qinghuai and Xie Yan were left in the yard. Ji Qinghuai pretended to be angry and hummed, “I’m telling you now, I’m very angry, it’s very serious. I’ll only be coaxed if you take the initiative to kiss me.”

Ji Qinghuai was actually just being unreasonable, but Xie Yan didn’t care. He abandoned his usual restraint and took the initiative to go over as Ji Qinghuai requested.

Just as they were about to kiss each other, a sound came from above their heads.

“Cough.”

Xie Yan: “…”

Ji Qinghuai looked up. Ji Xianzhi was standing on the balcony, gazing at the night sky, as if the light cough just now was an unintentional move.

Looking at Xie Yan again, Ji Qinghuai noticed that his ears were red and feeling that this matter was quite embarrassing, he simply pulled Xie Yan into the house and went upstairs.

They hadn’t returned to their room when Ji Qinghuai pulled Xie Yan in and pushed him against the wall and kissed him. Xie Yan turned his head sideways and whispered, “Go back to the room first.”

They weren’t the only ones at home so he was a little embarrassed.

“En, we’ll go right away.” Ji Qinghuai responded but kissed the pale lips again. Xie Yan felt a little helpless and could only indulge Ji Qinghuai while paying attention to their surroundings.

Fortunately, everyone else was in their rooms now. If they wanted to come out, they needed to open the door first so they probably wouldn’t bump into anyone.

However, Xie Yan overlooked one thing. Although there was nothing wrong with his idea, some flukes required the cooperation of two people, but now the person in front of him was Ji Qinghuai, an uncontrollable factor.

With a “click”, the door closest to them was opened. Xie Yan wanted to push him away but Ji Qinghuai’s face was thick enough to not be embarrassed when caught red-handed.

Ye An came out of the room and looked up to see Ji Qinghuai kissing Xie Yan. Stunned, he stood at the door frozen and forgot to close the door. Qin Lang looked at Ye An standing at the door and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Qin Lang walked over to take a look. After a moment of speechlessness, he stroked Ye An’s head, “In the future, pay less attention to him or you’ll be led astray.”

Xie Yan kicked Ji Qinghuai.

“Ow…” Only then did Ji Qinghuai let go of Xie Yan and glared at Qin Lang, who had caused him to be kicked.

What are you looking at? We’re legally married!

Qin Lang: “…”

What’s the big deal about being legal?

Qin Lang turned to Ye An, “Go and collect the marriage certificate tomorrow.”

With an arrogant face, Ji Qinghuai pulled Xie Yan back to his room. He ignored the people still outside and directly pushed Xie Yan onto the bed.

Xie Yan quickly grabbed Ji Qinghuai’s dishonest hand, “I still have to go to see Master tomorrow, I have to get up early.”

“I know.” Ji Qinghuai and Xie Yan intertwined their fingers and pressed their hands on the side of the pillow, “I promise I won’t sleep in tomorrow.”

Their beloved was right in front of them, so close that their breaths intermingled. With the ten fingers merging, their palms burned hotter and the surroundings heated up as well.

At this time, Xie Yan remembered what happened more than a month ago.

Back then, Ji Qinghuai was poisoned and they were nearly separated from each other. Even now, thinking about the unpredictable situation, Xie Yan could still feel the lingering fear.

Since waking up, although Ji Qinghuai was alive and well every day, his body was very weak due to the previous attacks and he had been recuperating during this period. When he counted back, the two of them hadn’t been intimate for a long time.

Xie Yan took a deep breath and didn’t resist anymore. At this moment, he didn’t want to think about anything, he only wanted to cherish all the time he had with Ji Qinghuai.

All his favour and indulgence were based on the fondness in his heart that didn’t need to be declared.

The next morning, Ji Qinghuai didn’t oversleep as he had promised and ate breakfast with his family. Xie Yan peeled a boiled egg for Ji Qinghuai, handed it over and wiped his hand with a paper napkin. He turned to look at Ji Xianzhi.

“Father, after discussing, Huaihuai and I planned to meet my Master today and ask him to witness our marriage with you.”

Ji Xianzhi nodded in acknowledgement, “It’s a must to attend.”

After speaking, Ji Xianzhi paused, looked at Qin Lang and Ye An, and asked, “Do you two have anything to do today?”

“Xiao An and I are going to get the marriage certificate later,” replied Qin Lang.

Ji Xianzhi pondered for a moment, “Don’t be in a hurry to get the certificate in advance, let’s go with your brother first.”

Qin Lang and Ye An glanced at each other. Although they didn’t understand Ji Xianzhi’s intention, they still replied with an “Okay.”

As a result, there were two more people in the back seat of Qin Lang’s car. Ji Qinghuai didn’t have to be the driver and settled comfortably in the car. In no time, he yawned and fell asleep.

At this time, in the garden of the Shen family, Shen Lian was watering the flowers carelessly. Shen Xie had lost his usual lazy demeanour and was sighing on the side. “I raised the big cabbage for so many years ah…”

Shen Lian laughed, “On the left and right are Elder Brother’s children, they’ll have a close relationship.”

“If it weren’t for this, I wouldn’t have agreed to their marriage so easily.” Shen Xie snorted coldly.

Shen Lian shook his head helplessly. He put down the kettle in his hand and walked to Shen Xie’s side. “Fate is really unpredictable. Who would have thought that Xie Yan would end up with Young Master Ji.”

Shen Xie pulled Shen Lian into his arms and rested his chin on his shoulder. “His eyesight probably worsened because he’s been wearing glasses for too long.”

Shen Lian: “…”

“I’m afraid you haven’t been beaten up by Elder Brother for a long time, you’re itching for a beating.” Shen Lian refuted angrily and added, “Besides, a tiger father has no dog son, a person like Elder Brother will definitely raise a good child, otherwise how could Xie Yan be moved?”

“Because his eyesight isn’t good.”

Shen Lian: “…”

Shen Lian didn’t bother with Shen Xie and patted the hand on his waist to release him and prepare tea for the guests.

The existence of Shen Xie and Shen Lian was not known to many of the current little demons. Even Ji Qinghuai knew very little about them, he only knew that these two had long been reclusive and hadn’t reappeared for many years, and had even once thought that these two had passed away.

However, the so-called seclusion was just a statement to the outside world. Back then, when Shen Xie settled the chaotic world and reorganized Kyushu, it only deterred some people from acting rashly.

Under the appearance of peace these years, there had been some shallow and deep undercurrents, surging below the surface and troubling them from beginning to end.

The so-called seclusion was in fact to lay down eighteen arrays around the residence, completely isolating everything within the barrier in one space to prevent outsiders from easily disturbing them. However, the affairs of the world, any wind or grass could not escape the pair of eyes as deep as the abyss. Everything was under his control.

Xie Yan raised his hand and threw a golden token into the void.

Immediately, the barrier disappeared and a mansion appeared in front of everyone. Emerald green jade bamboos stood quietly on one side of the courtyard. The wind passed through the forest and the sunlight and shadows blurred together.

On the other side of the courtyard, there was a stone path with trees on the side towering over it. The branches and leaves blended together, casting a large shadow on the ground. Sunlight sprinkled in from within the gaps and the shadows of the trees were mottled. The stone path was quiet and led to a serene place.

“Beautiful place.” Ji Qinghuai complimented and with an inadvertent glance, he saw a fluffy head peeking out from the courtyard entrance.

His eyes lit up and he walked over a few steps and took a closer look at the ball of fur in front of him.

A little fluffy fox.

The little fox looked up at Ji Qinghuai.

What are you looking at! Who are you people? What are you doing here?

Ji Qinghuai picked it up.

Small Fox: !

The little fox was frightened and twisted its body to try and break free, but Ji Qinghuai didn’t let go. In a hurry, the little fox opened its mouth and tried to bite Ji Qinghuai’s hand.

Ji Qinghuai smacked it away.

Ever since he had been bitten, Ji Qinghuai was very defensive and wouldn’t let these seemingly small things casually hurt him. In retaliation, Ji Qinghuai fiercely rubbed the soft fur of the little fox, rubbing it until it was dishevelled. The little fox exploded and lifted its claws in retaliation.

“Don’t be rude.”

The gentle and calm voice attracted everyone’s attention. Then, a handsome face came into view. At that moment, two emotions flashed in Ji Qinghuai’s mind.

Shock and astonishment.

In terms of appearance, the person in front of them looked about the same age as them and was the same as Xie Yan, unforgettable existences at first glance. However, the two of them had completely distinct auras. Xie Yan would give off a distant feeling, while in comparison, the person in front of them looked much gentler.

Xie Yan called out, “Shishu.”

Ji Qinghuai returned to his senses, let the unlucky little fox go for now, and greeted together with Qin Lang, “Uncle Shen.”

Ye An didn’t make a sound and just stared at Shen Lian. After a moment, he suddenly remembered something, and said, “You are that big brother.”

Shen Lian smiled at Ye An. “No matter which generation we are in, you can’t call me brother.”

He turned around and led them inside, “I’m more or less related to your mother’s family and according to our gap in generations, you should call me grandfather, but that was a long time ago after all. Now it’s better to follow the modern customs.”

Ye An looked at Qin Lang.

“Then call him Uncle,” said Qin Lang.

Ye An nodded slightly as he said to Qin Lang, “At that time when there was an accident in my family, it was Uncle Shen who took me away and brought me to my adoptive parents. My name was also given by Uncle Shen.”

Qin Lang was a little surprised.

Originally, both Shen Xie and Shen Lian knew about the incident.

Ji Qinghuai walked behind them and asked Xie Yan in a low voice, “Are all of your Shen family so good-looking?”

Xie Yan replied, “I can’t rule out the possibility that it runs in the family, but Shishu is definitely the favoured one.”

Ji Qinghuai completely agreed with this point.

Shen Lian’s facial features were very delicate as if they were carefully carved by someone. Ji Qinghuai felt that it was not an exaggeration to describe him as flawless. The whole person was like a skillfully carved jade, warm and exquisite, the only difference was that jade had no flesh and blood, but Shen Lian did.

Shen Lian listened to their praise, smiled without saying a word, and led them into the garden.

The flowers in the garden were in full bloom and with his sharp nose, Ji Qinghuai could smell the scent of roses from far away. In front of a large rose bush stood a long, slender and upright back.

He stood with his hand behind his back. Even if they looked from afar, several people could feel the oppressive pressure.

The Overlord of Kyushu, the legend of the demon clan, was daunting.

Hearing the approaching footsteps, Shen Xie turned around slowly.

At this moment, this God of War, who existed only in the legend, finally appeared as an elder in front of them.

I mentioned that the author hasn’t updated since April and I noticed that there were some gaps in between when the extras were posted. The main story was completed in 2021 so I picked it up but in 2022, the author came back with extras and as you can see by the labelling of chapters, the author might have planned a couple of extras, each consisting of a few chapters. However, the last time it was updated was April, so I’ve decided to post until the latest chapter and mark this novel as completed. If there are any new chapters uploaded, I will definitely translate and upload them!
