The Twentieth Sentence Part 2
Pu Tao agreed, but she had never experienced something like this. Her heart was jumping wildly in her chest. “Where am I going to put my hands? Your waist or your shoulders?”
Cheng Su laughed, “Just stand.”
He stepped forward, hugged her, and quickly let go.
His heart finally stopped being impulsive, and settled down. *∞:。.。 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘹𝘢𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤.𝘤𝘰𝘮 。.。:∞*
This hug had a gentle strength. It was very significant and respectful.
All of Pu Tao’s senses were being surrounded and overwhelmed by him. It was a quick action, but the pheromones left by the man’s body did not disappear easily. Her whole body began to burn, as if he had possessed her for a short period of time.
When she sat down again, she felt as light as a cattail 1 . It was easy to feel like she was floating when she was falling in love.
This was just a hug. In the next moment, when they separated, she began to miss his body.
Cheng Su sat down on the empty leather sofa opposite her. His arrival immediately filled the narrow seating. The environment and atmosphere became just right.
Pu Tao had been watching him attentively. Oh, he is so good looking, I can’t stop looking.
Cheng Su also looked back. He was still calm.
One second. Two seconds. Three seconds. It was like a bet had been made, so no one took the lead to make a move.
Four seconds. Five seconds. Ten seconds. Finally, they smiled at each other. It ended in a tie.
Pu Tao had a mischevious thought. She wanted to push back, but her smiling lips betrayed her. She simply allowed herself to reveal her inner thoughts. “Did you come from home?”
Cheng Su looked at her, and made a low “mhm” sound. He asked, “Is my hair a little messy?”
“It’s fine.” Her black eyes examined him carefully. “It completely blends into the night.”
Cheng Su glanced at the empty coffee cup on the table and asked Pu Tao, “Why didn’t you refill the cup?”
Pu Tao replied, “I’m afraid of not being able to sleep.”
Cheng Su raised his eyebrow slightly. “Do you have to get up early tomorrow and hurry back?”
Pu Tao wanted to say “make a guess”, but she got cold feet. She changed what she wanted to say and confessed her plans. “I asked for a vacation.”
Cheng Su didn’t seem surprised. “How many days?”
“Four days.” *∞:。.。 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘹𝘢𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤.𝘤𝘰𝘮 。.。:∞*
The first time they met, they were strangers; the second time they met, they were familiar with each other. Their communication was much smoother than yesterday.
Pu Tao thought she was doing well. She was trying to move herself out of her online persona and into her current self that was in reality and in the present.
Cheng Su asked, “Will you stay with me for four days?”
He said “with me”, not “here”, not “Shan City”. It was like she had stepped into his land and become his temporary possession as he quietly declared his sovereignty.
Pu Tao paused for a few seconds. “Only if you’re not tired of me.”
Cheng Su gestured his chin to one side. “Before you go, you might as well ask the boy at the front counter about how I’ve been drinking Americanos for years.”
Pu Tao’s face was slightly red and her heart was jumping. “I’m going back on my words.”
The man’s casual tone perked up. “Hmm?”
“I’d like a refill.”
Cheng Su asked, “Shall I ask someone for you?”
Pu Tao, “No.”
Cheng Su frowned. “So fickle.”
Pu Tao flatly denied it, “No, I was very focused on coming here for you.”
Cheng Su was in a good mood. “I didn’t expect you to come.”
Pu Tao said, “I didn’t expect it either.”
Cheng Su smiled. “Then how did it happen?”
Pu Tao rested her chin on her hand and thought for a moment. “There was something driving me. There was a long fight, and finally my logical cells were defeated by emotional cells. If I don’t come, then I will feel sorry for the effort that they made.”
Cheng Su was completely focused on her words.
He looked at her from beginning to end. He saw how she was shy and timid, and his heart fluttered slightly.
It was like there was an ambiguous atmosphere in Shan City that night because his eyes were too attracted to her. Of course, that might also be her own personal wish and delusion.
So she blushed once she spoke, then hid her face. “There’s nothing I can do about it, it might be because I like you too much.”
Pu Tao’s mind had melted. Her voice dropped lower. “Will it bother you?”
Cheng Su said, “It’s me who must have bothered you.”
Pu Tao didn’t give up and said, “I started it.”
Cheng Su: “I didn’t have to reply.”
Pu Tao pretended to be angry. “That’s not allowed.”
Cheng Su laughed. The curves of his eyes reached the moon in the sky, up to Cloud Dweller.
Both of them were being stubborn, and they could no longer back out.
“Okay, that’s enough. We didn’t come here to argue,” Cheng Su said. “Have you been to Shan City before?”
Pu Tao replied, “To be honest, it’s my first time here.”
Cheng Su didn’t seem to believe her.
Pu Tao put on an honest look. “I didn’t lie to you, I swear.”
Cheng Su changed back to his usual expression. “Okay, I believe you. Where do you want to go? Where do you want to go eat?”
Pu Tao asked, “We can go anywhere?”
Cheng Su nodded.
Pu Tao made a decision and looked into his eyes. Her faint idea that made her hesitant became clear and certain. “Your home. Is that okay?”
