The Fifth Sentence Part 2
The “First Bell” ED was released as scheduled, and the first radio drama followed next.
While at work, Xin Tian shared a link and excitedly said, “Have you listened to it? The number of people watching is rising so fast!”
She sent it with ulterior motives. The link was to the forward from Cloud Dweller’s Weibo.
Pu Tao received the notification two hours ago. She paid special attention to Cloud Dweller, but she didn’t click on the notification.
She was a self-disciplined person because she was going through rehab!
Instead, this time, she clicked on the link Xin Tian sent.
Pu Tao concentrated on the poster. The male lead’s fond eyes were perfectly interpreted by her, and was consistent with the character description.
She saw that her Weibo had also been @, just below STAFF.
——STAFF——
Planning Director: Towards The Sunflower [Whisper Studio] @Towards The Sunflower is a sunflower.
"
"
Post-production: Sweetheart [Whisper Studio] @Sweetheart will not drink milk tea starting today.
Art Designer: End Of The Year [Whisper Studio] @End Of The Year songs.
Painter: Pu Tao @Pu Pu Grapes 1
…
Pu Tao went to find the familiar ID in the CAST section.
The first one was him:
Lu Baizhou: Cloud Dweller @ Cloud Dweller
…….
Pu Tao looked at his name, and then looked at her own name. Everyone had a studio attached to their name except for them.
A subtle and strange fluke.
She couldn’t help but feel like they were matching a bit?
I’m done for! Her mind began to recklessly run from the east to the west. However, she thought about it again. Will Cloud Dweller take a closer look at the list of names? Because we are both on there, will he click on my Weibo, look through it, and find the brainless private message I wrote?
"
"
Oh my god! Pu Tao wanted to bang her head on the table. She covered her face, closed her eyes, and had nothing left to live for.
This was what she had deliberately tried to avoid for the past few days. Things should have calmed down, and there was no way for her to face it head on.
It was because it was too embarrassing.
Forget it, what’s the difference between one embarrassment and a hundred embarrassments? Either way, it’s all an embarrassment.
She stared at that web page link helplessly for a while. Then, Pu Tao decided to go in and listen to a part as a reward for her rehab results.
She took a deep breath and opened the web page.
—
Pu Tao thought that she would not be okay.
At the first second the male lead spoke, her heart started beating wildly again.
All of her previous efforts had been wasted, and the voice was a dark opium that could drag her into a dreamlike abyss at any time. It spread from her ears and into her brain, where it formed a mirage of a beautiful new world.
She was personally experiencing being the main female lead in the drawing whose head was touched by him.
This was the unique experience that only Cloud Dweller could produce.
In short: She, who had only planned to listen to it for five minutes, unintentionally listened to the very end.
When Pu Tao heard the ED starting, she woke up from the dream.
She wanted to have someone with this voice.
This idea made a comeback, and its aggressiveness was even more difficult to control after it was suppressed.
Pu Tao closed the web page and went on QQ. She poked the top chat.
She was so glad to find that she was still on Cloud Dweller’s friend list and was not locked up in the small room for blocked users.
Her train of thoughts were moving up and down. The humbleness in the next second was extreme. Without any reservation, she sent: “I listened to the latest radio drama. I still really like you. What should I do?”
After a few minutes, Cloud Dweller unexpectedly replied to her.
Him: “…”
Pu Tao: “Why don’t you block me?”
She did not have any skills when it came to love. Thus, she did not hesitate to push herself to the edge of a cliff and ask a very important question.
Cloud Dweller: “I can do that.”
Pu Tao’s heart pounded fiercely and quickly reined herself in. “No! Please! Don’t do it because I drew you so handsomely!”
The other side did not make a sound again.
Did he really block me?
Pu Tao sent a small emoji to test it out, and did not receive a blocked user warning.
All of a sudden, her energy came back. On her own initiative, she bravely put forward her precious idea: “Why don’t you say good night to me every day and I will listen until I am numb, produce antibodies, and acquire immunity? Then, I promise not to bother you again, okay?”
The force from these words was perhaps a little strong. Cloud Dweller was finally willing to come out and take two steps.
And these two small steps were still his ellipsis.
Pu Tao asked: “How about you tell me how tall you are?”
If he really was 1.5 meters like how Xin Tian had inauspiciously remarked, then she might not be so crazy about him.
Cloud Dweller was completely confused by her the way her thoughts jumped around.
Cloud Dweller: “?”
Pu Tao thought he didn’t understand. “Just your height.”
She didn’t know if she had made him lose his patience or if he was deliberately trying to annoy her back.
Cloud Dweller: “Why do you want to know this?”
Cloud Dweller: “Why? Do you want to stand with me?”
The author has something to say:
This is a story about a loyal young man whose heart is softened by a persistent woman. Thank you for being here.
Footnotes
This is actually a play on words. The original is 噗噗噗萄 (pūpūpūtáo) where the first three pu are like the pffft sound and then tao comes from the tao that makes up the word putao, meaning grapes.
