Chapter 03 – Answer to Confession (Part 3)

“Good morning everyone~.” With such a cutesy greeting, our homeroom teacher walked into the classroom.

I was so excited to see the young and beautiful teacher my sister had told me about yesterday!

To my surprise, she was young, definitely younger, even younger… but wait… isn’t she too young?

I mean, my sister doesn’t look like a high schooler either but she’s…

Junior high? No… slightly grown-up elementary school student perhaps?

Everyone had probably seen her yesterday, so they weren’t too surprised.

Even if they’re already familiar with her, aren’t these guys adapting too fast?

Even though my sister is petite in a sense, with a baby face, our class teacher was actually even smaller.

And what’s more, she looks like a middle or an elementary student with those twintails.

She’s got good facial features so she’s a beauty, but her height doesn’t quite fit with those features.

Like an elementary school student wearing makeup, you know how pitiful that is?

As I was lost in thought, the teacher smiled when she saw me staring at her with my mouth wide open.

Whoaaa! Another black aura from my sister’s back…

Must be my imagination, yeah it should be…

Then the teacher stepped up to the podium and introduced herself.

Satomi Shirai, a Japanese language teacher of unknown age,

Twin tails, the junior high school looks, last name Shirai,

Though do not confuse yourself with that Shirai who can teleport by saying “Onee-sama.”

Must be an otaku teacher type!

And definitely cute…

Still, there was never an end to the curiosity,

“How old are you really, Sensei?”

So the guy in the back seat asked it.

“You should never ask a woman about her age, you know?” the teacher said, in an insanely sweet voice and a beautiful smile…

And eyes full of killing intent staring at the boy.

“Hiii”

Which made him cower down to his seat making a strange noise.

After the teacher’s introduction was over, the rest of the class introduced themselves…

Many were normal but some of them were noticeably weird,

“God resides in my left arm”

He must be Chuunibyou…

“Hey there~, I’m looking for a girlfriend~!”

Only he was so frivolous enough to introduce himself in that manner.

Of course, I was one of the normals, normalcy is the best, you know?

After such a normal homeroom, I was called out from the back seat during the break.

“Hey, hey, is the girl in front of you, your sister? Since the two of you have the same last name— Hasemi?”

The guy who was almost killed by the homeroom teacher’s eyes just now, the good-natured, unfortunate good-looking guy who seemed to be good at athletics, called out to me.

“Yeah, I’m glad you figured it out.”

“Twins? But you don’t look alike?”

This question is always asked, but male-female twins are not lookalike because they’re fraternal… guess this guy does not know of that.

“No, I’m older as I was born in April and my sister was born in March.”

I answered, a little disappointed.

“So that cute girl is Hasemi-san’s little sister, I wonder if she has a boyfriend or something?”

The unfortunate handsome boy (I don’t remember his name) who appeared to have a lot of friends asked me while looking at my sister who was sitting in the front chatting with her friends.

—I’m the boyfriend, of course, I can’t tell him that.

“I don’t know. Ask my sister.”

I have no idea what I’ve gotten myself into, but it was such a disappointment.

“Great, since the big brother has given me his permission, I will do so! By the way, you can call me by my first name, Yoichi, like a big brother.”

Wow, this guy is a pure disappointment…

What a waste of good looks…

Thinking so, I decided to name this guy the “Shameful handsome guy”… His first name is Yoichi, but what’s his last name again?

“And what’s your last name?”

I asked to call the person in question anyway.

“Higashide, Yoichi Higashide… Didn’t you hear me earlier?”

Of course, I don’t bother myself to go through a man’s self-introduction.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Well, good luck, Higashide-san.”

“No, it’s Yoichi…”

Ignoring his voice, I looked forward to preparing for the next class.

After School

My sister is still talking excitedly with her many friends.

We haven’t been in the same class since elementary school, so I was a little moved by the sight of her that I usually don’t see.

Though I shouldn’t keep staring at her forever, and I have yet to talk about going home together.

I couldn’t bring myself to interrupt her, so I decided to leave the classroom by myself.

“Ahhh, Yuu, are you going home? Do you want to go home together?”

As I was about to leave the classroom Asami called out to me.

Eh? Together?

Oh, well, it’s a public school in the same neighborhood.

“Well, sure, but are we going in the same direction?”

“I think it’s the same. I used to see you when we were in middle school.”

“So, my stop is halfway then.”

“Correct.”

Asami’s house seems to be about five minutes away from ours, which is surprisingly close.

“Yuuuu, is so sweet, you know?”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I talk like this, you know, so I can tell when they’re frustrated.”

Well, a guy might be annoyed, but she’s got a cute voice and I don’t hate her lisp, and I’ve always thought of her as a healer since middle school, since every time I talk to her, I get to see a warm smile on her face.

“That’s why I am so happy to be with you.”

“Me as well, since I’m not one of those people who have many friends, so I’m relieved to have Asami… and Shiori with me.”

“Ahhh, come to think of it, Shiori-chan is in the same class as me, I hope we can get along.”

“Don’t worry, you’re just like me in that way, you should talk to her sometime, I’ll help you.”

“Un.”

After a short walk, I parted in the neighborhood of my house, soothed by Asami’s smile.

Somehow, my sister’s shoes are already inside.

I left class first, but she was already at home before me.

When I entered the living room with a strange feeling of discomfort, I found my sister there, staring at me with a terrible look.

“I’m home, Shiori…”

“………”

“Uhhhh, are you mad at me, Shiori-san?”

“………”

“Since I left you and went home with Asami.”

“………”

She was sitting in a chair in the living room staring at me with a suspended look on her face, and eyes that looked like they were about to release tears.

“But, you were talking with your friends.”

“I saw you leering at Shirai-sensei, as well.”

Before I could finish she interjected.

“I wasn’t staring at her, I was just surprised by her height. That said, can you see what’s behind your back, Shiori?”

“I know where my brother is and who he’s looking at without even looking at him.”

Oh god, scary, my sister is so scary!

“I was looking in my makeup compact mirror.”

Oh, god, that’s even scarier!

“I was just too surprised to look at Shirai-sensei, because I was too preoccupied with you yesterday, Shiori.”

“What about Asami-san?”

“Asami was in my class in middle school, and she was asking where my other friends went to high school.”

We just had a short talk, and of course, my answer was “I don’t know.”

“You don’t have any friends in the first place, Onii-chan!”

“I have! There’s some of them!”

You really need to stop looking for my friends though, Dear Sister.

That said, her mood worsened even further.

“I wanted to go to school with you, Shiori, with my, my girlfriend, but we couldn’t get to go home together either.”

When I said that, her face turned bright red, and turned her head down.

“Me too, I wanted to go home with my boyfriend, I’m sorry, Onii-chan.”

Embarrassed, the two of us blushed red and turned our heads down. I had no idea being called a boyfriend would be so exciting, and embarrassing, though from my sister.

“But from the way things went today, I don’t think it’ll be easy for the two of us to go to and from school alone together.”

“Yeah, there’re a lot of people who know us.”

You’re the only one they know, though.

“All right! Wanna go somewhere this Sunday?”

“Really! I’m so ready!”

To my proposal, my sister’s eyes sparkled like a child seeing her favorite toy.

TLN- There’s a lot of Chuunibyou and stuff, and dem I’ve to make sentences a little differently, so forgive me if there’s something slightly different than the intended.
