on the bed, clearly trying to be seductive. He then said to Yang Mo, “What did Xiao Yang tell you today?”

Yang Mo wiped his hair that was dripping wet while looking for the hair dryer. “She wrote about us in her language essay.”

“Ah?” Han Shi Yu climbed up and said with interest, “What did she write?”

“I don’t know the content,” Yang Mo turned around to look at him, “She said I’m not allowed to tell you too.”

Han Shi Yu: “.”

Han Shi Yu stared at Yang Mo for the longest of time before finally letting out a deep sigh that he had held back, “Between your husband and your daughter, who do you love more?”

Yang Mo: “…….”

“He really never expected this person to compare himself to a child.

Yang Mo stood in the same spot for a while before pressing his head lightly onto the pillow and said, “Did water enter your head when you bathe?”

Han Shi Yu’s voice was muffled by the pillow as he said, “Hurry up and answer…”

Yang Mo let go of his hand and watched this guy who laid there without moving at all. No doubt he was pulling one of his tricks again.

Yang Mo had no choice but to answer, “The sillier one.”

Han Shi Yu seemed to have gladly accepted that label, finally willing to pull himself out of that position and smiled, “Really?”

Yang Mo stared at him for five seconds. After the silence passed, his lips curved upwards as he smiled, “I lied.”

Han Shi Yu: “I don’t care. You hesitated there.”

Yang Mo lifted the blanket up and slid into the bed. Han Shi Yu then hugged him from behind.

Yang Mo clicked his tongue, “Let go…”

After shuffling around in the sheets, Yang Mo ultimately slumped on top of the blanket with half his face buried in the soft pillow. On the other side of the struggle, Han Shi Yu had successfully straddled Yang Mo around his waist and pressed him down with his hands on his shoulders.

In terms of fighting in bed, Han Shi Yu had too many tricks on hand to count. Each of them always made Yang Mo feel extra embarrassed, so he thought Han Shi Yu was going to suggest some new positions on a whim this time too and frowned, “Get off.”

Han Shi Yu smiled, “Wait a little.”

Suddenly, Han Shi Yu started massaging his shoulders. His arm strength wasn’t like that of a little girl’s, as light as a dragonfly dipping the surface of water. It was gentle but strong instead.

Yang Mo always sat in front of a computer screen, so his shoulders and back inevitably became burdened from overworking. Whenever Han Shi Yu exerted more force, Yang Mo who was caught off guard would let out a pained grunt before attempting to muffle his voice.

Gradually, his muscles and nerves melted away in comfort and relaxed. Yang Mo’s breathing also became synced to the rhythm of his massaging. Yang Mo opened his eyes slightly.

Although he couldn’t see Han Shi Yu’s face, but his silhouette was reflected in his eyes.

Yang Mo’s tone turned very soft, “You knew how to massage too…”

“I went to a massage parlour during my business trip,” Han Shi Yu said while he continued massaging, “I secretly learnt it…”

Han Shi Yu quickly added, “It’s a proper one, with a business license.”

Yang Mo finally couldn’t hold it in anymore and let out a laugh. “Picking up a skill with every store you go to, who would dare to take on customers like you?”

“If it can be used in the future, then I should try to learn it.” Han Shi Yu replied.

His technique was still slightly clumsy. Yang Mo wasn’t sure why, but maybe Han Shi Yu had used a bit too much force, causing his eyes to water a little.

Many years ago, this guy ran to the female owner’s barbeque store to learn the recipe, dragging him to the riverside for a youthful, romantic evening. Many years had passed, but his degree of interest in learning was still so high that he deserve to be awarded.

He said, “Could be used in the future” but they’d all be used for Yang Mo instead.

Yang Mo remembered an ‘chicken soup for the soul’ article he had read in a magazine when he was bored one time.

An old traveller always looked forward to tomorrow, excited to encounter new things, so he would take pictures of each moment and labelling them with dates in the photo album. He said there was a grey-haired lover at home waiting for him to share what he had seen and heard. Therefore, he desperately wanted to put this bug world into his camera, so that this long distance would be a little more bearable.

Yang Mo thought to himself, when Han Shi Yu grow older, would he still act like the child he is now?

In front of a scenery they have never seen before, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and taking a selfie of them both together, then walking to barbeque area and say, “Hey, I learned this before! Let me make one for you.”

Perhaps their photos would be full of wrinkles by then. Growing old and become toothless, he might look more like a child than he is now.

Who knows.

Yang Mo suddenly said, “Han Shi Yu.”

Han Shi Yu stopped massaging his shoulders for a bit, “Hm?”

Yang Mo pursed his lips together and hesitated for a long while before saying, “…You silly dog.”

“Heh,” Han Shi Yu continued on his handiwork while happily gloating, “Didn’t you say you like the sillier one more?”

He massaged slowly.

“I kept thinking about it when I was on my business trip.” He said, “I was the one who said I wanted to keep Ji Xun going, I was also the one who wanted to adopt a child. Yet, all of those fell on you in the end.”

Every time Han Shi Yu brought over a project with extreme high difficulty to Yang Mo, he would carefully look through it for a few hours before faintly saying, “It can be done.”

Han Shi Yu only needed to provide him with manpower and time, and Yang Mo would solve any difficult problems for him.

Adopting a child was the same too. In the early days of starting his business, Han Shi Yu was always away on business trips. He desperately wanted to fly back to his husband and daughter after it ended each time.

He leaned down and whispered gently into Yang Mo’s ear, “Mo, you’ve worked hard.”

""

Feeling ticklish in his ear, Yang Mo pushed him aside as redness slowly crept up his neck. He pretended like he wasn’t really listening, only saying an “En”.

Han Shi Yu stopped with his massaging, his hand began to wander into Yang Mo’s clothing mischievously. His shirt was slowly unbuttoned. Lying on his back, Yang Mo was restrained in this position, unable to move an inch even if he wanted to.

“You should enjoy yourself from now on.” Han Shi Yu laughed, “Just leave hard work like this to me.”

Yang Mo: “.”

This guy intended to try out new positions after all.

<My Two Dads>

Written by Yang Han, class 3-1.

I made a wish to the skies every day, because fairy tales often said that children who like making wishes wouldn’t have bad luck. Therefore, not long ago, I gained two dads.

One of them looked really happy every day. His pockets were always filled with candies and surprises. I suspected that he had hid the sun in his pocket to make himself appear like the sunny sun. When I’m around him, I couldn’t help it but laugh and anything that bothered me would dissipate without a trace. But he often had to leave, to earn money to support our family. I would always miss him and that pocket of his.

Another dad didn’t like talking a lot. He would spend time with me during the day and then worked late into the night with his desk lamp on. At night, I would see soft light coming from his room, just like the brightest moon in the starry night sky. It smelled like moonlight when I’m in his arms, which felt both sweet and really reassuring. I like acting spoiled in his arms, and any dreams with him by my side would become a fairy tale paradise.

My two dads really, really, really, really love each other. They also really, really, really love me.

My little sun dad taught me that when I don’t know what adjectives to use, just write a couple more ‘really’ instead. Because important things needed to be said three times. Three ‘really, really, really love’ meant it was the most in the entire world.

My moonlight dad told me, “Your eyes can contain many things when you’re a child. But the older you get, the more cramped they become. And at the end, what’s left is a narrow life. But he was different.” He was referring to my other dad.

I may not know what love is, but I think dad is right.

But how did dad know he was different? Probably because he used to run to dad’s side to pluck the stars.

The moon was surrounded by countless, endless stars in the sky. Over time, the one who plucked stars became familiar with the existence of the moon. And the lonely moon could no longer leave the side of that person who often ran to his side to accompany him.

I asked my two dads, then what about me, what am I?

Heh! They said I was the star that accidentally fell out of the basket and landed on earth.

T/N: And that’s a wrap! Took me 10 months to finish translating this beautiful story, but I’ve enjoyed every second of it. Thanks for coming along this journey and for being patient with my translations.
