The dark, heavy armor, though only covering a small part of the body, was rudimentary in design, yet it spoke volumes.

These wolf-headed monsters...

can smelt!

“Ugh...”

The two-meter-tall wolf-headed monster flared its nostrils, its eyes slowly scanning the bodies of its fallen comrades on the ground, finally settling on the six people in the center.

It took a step forward, raising its axe, which was as tall as a person.

The axe head was as large as a washbasin, with a sharp blade that glinted in the light. Just a glance at it made one's heart chill.

“Don’t be afraid!” Xiao Li's lips twitched:

“He’s only one, and we are six. Six against one, there’s no need to be afraid!”

“Right.”

“Let’s all attack together!”

Several people nodded, tensing their bodies and gripping their weapons tightly. However, this creature clearly wasn’t an easy opponent, and no one made the first move.

Zhou Jia also gripped the car door handle, cautiously approaching.

“Ugh...”

Seeing the group’s movements, the wolf-headed monster with armor and an axe at its side moved its lips slightly, seemingly disdainful, and then waved its hand lightly.

“Not good!” Zhou Jia’s face changed drastically.

“Whoosh!”

Four black shadows darted out from the bushes, leaping over the armored monster and charging straight at the six people.

“Be careful!” Zhou Jia shouted, simultaneously using his arm to slam the car door, which he was holding, like a shield at one of the black shadows.

“Whoosh!”

With great force, the car door whipped up a gust of wind and collided with the black shadow.

“Bang!”

A dull thud, and a wolf-headed monster was directly knocked to the ground.

After killing two wolf-headed monsters and several mutated corpses, Zhou Jia’s strength was about twice that of an ordinary wolf-headed monster.

However, unlike his ease, the others did not have such strength. Even Xiao Li was a bit lacking. The sudden appearance of the wolf-headed monsters and the need to guard against the different one caused chaos.

“Whoosh!”

A flicker in the corner of his eye, and the armored wolf-headed monster suddenly vanished from its spot.

“Be careful!”

Zhou Jia’s eyes widened, and he shouted urgently.

The armored monster moved with astonishing speed, suddenly appearing beside Lao Qian, and the terrifying axe in its hand sliced through the air, chopping down diagonally.

“Crack...”

Lao Qian tried to block with a stick, but it was split in two by the blow. The axe continued without pause, landing on his body.

“Puff!”

The axe blade sliced through his neck, diagonally across his chest and abdomen, splitting his body in two.

Half of the corpse slid to the ground, with internal organs, blood, and undigested food spilling out from the torn body cavity.

The pungent smell of blood permeated the scene.

“Ah!”

The sight made the remaining five people’s hearts chill. Guo Xingzhang, in particular, instinctively took a step back, his eyes flashing wildly.

After beheading Lao Qian, the armored monster did not stop. It took a step forward and swung its axe at Cheng Qi, who was not far away.

“Finished!”

Cheng Qi’s face turned pale, filled with fear. He even forgot to defend himself, watching the axe sweep towards him.

“Whoosh!”

At that moment, a black shadow appeared in front of him, raising the car door to meet the armored monster.

It was Zhou Jia!

He was the first to react.

“Bang!”

The giant axe struck the car door, the blade almost piercing through it. The immense force sent Zhou Jia flying.

Even the car door, wrapped in leather for a better grip, was twisted and deformed.

However, the armored monster’s movement was momentarily halted.

Its eyes flickered, and its expression seemed to show surprise.

Cheng Qi’s body trembled, and only now did he regain his senses. He screamed and turned to run away as fast as he could.

Faced with this terrifying monster, he had no will to fight, only to flee.

“Don’t run!”

Zhou Jia had just struggled to get up from the ground when he saw Cheng Qi fleeing. He shouted in anger, and another wolf-headed monster pounced at him.

His arm, still numb from holding the car door, left him no choice but to grip the frying pan and smash it with all his might:

“Die!”

“Bang!”

“Bang!”

After dealing with the wolf-headed monster in front of him, a surge of energy entered his body.

This time was different from the previous ones. Not only did his strength increase, but a warm current also surged from within, spreading throughout his body.

A burning sensation?

But it seemed to fall short of what Fat Han had described.

“Ah!”

On the other side, the armored monster charged at Xiao Li, chopping down with several swings. Xiao Li, unable to dodge, had his arm severed.

Blood spurted out.

Xiao Sun had already fallen in a pool of blood, his body in one place and his head in another, with a monster tearing at the corpse.

Seeing the armored monster raise its axe again, Zhou Jia gritted his teeth and threw the frying pan with all his might.

“Ugh!”

“Bang!”

The armored monster, unable to dodge in time, was hit hard in the face, causing it to stagger.

Turning its head, it saw a black object whirling towards it. Instinctively, it swung its axe to cut the black shadow.

“Crack!”

The axe cut into the black shadow, making a strange cracking sound. It had cut into the car door that was thrown.

For a moment, the axe and the car door were stuck together, unable to separate.

The armored monster frowned, about to pull the car door free, when it saw Xiao Li, who had lost an arm, charging at it with a mad look on his face.

“Die!”

Before the words were out of his mouth, the steel plate in his hand flew out. Knowing he couldn’t escape, Xiao Li put all his strength into the attack.

Some people freeze in danger, while others can tap into their inner courage. He was clearly the latter.

“Aaah!”

The armored monster’s eyes widened, swinging the axe and the car door to smash into Xiao Li.

“Bang!”

The two collided, and with a sharp pain in its eye, the armored monster roared, its hand piercing Xiao Li’s throat.

The pain-induced rage made it let go of the axe, and with both hands, it tore Xiao Li’s body into two.

On the other side,

Zhou Jia had also dealt with the last wolf-headed monster blocking his way.

At this point,

only two people and one monster remained in the scene.

The armored monster’s left eye had been hit by the steel plate, and its condition was unknown. The axe, still attached to the car door, lay on the ground, spinning in the wind.

Zhou Jia’s skin was red, and his body was trembling.

Guo Xingzhang, holding a kitchen knife, was the farthest away, his eyes darting around, seemingly deep in thought.

“Don’t run!”

Another surge of energy entered Zhou Jia’s body, making him feel as if he were on fire. He gritted his teeth and spoke in a low voice:

“Guo Xingzhang, we can’t outrun it. If we fight, we still have a chance. Didn’t you just kill a wolf-headed monster?”

“I’ll distract it, and you can attack from the side. With its injured eye and without its weapon, we have a chance.”

If Cheng Qi were still here, their chances would be even better.

“...” Guo Xingzhang’s lips twitched:

“True.”

Saying this, he turned and fled.

“Don’t!”

Zhou Jia was in a panic.

But he knew that facing the armored monster alone was almost certain death. He could only stomp his foot in frustration and follow.

“Ugh!”

The armored monster, however, had no intention of letting them go. It let out a strange cry and pounced.

With its speed, the two had no chance of escaping.

Zhou Jia was about to speak again when he saw something shoot towards him, making him stop and dodge the incoming cold light.

“Thud!”

The kitchen knife grazed his cheek and embedded itself in a nearby tree, making Zhou Jia’s heart chill.

Looking at Guo Xingzhang,

he had already fled far away.

He didn’t need to run faster than the armored monster, just faster than Zhou Jia to have a chance of survival.

Zhou Jia couldn’t even withstand one blow from the armored monster earlier. Staying now meant certain death.

“...”

Watching Guo Xingzhang flee, Zhou Jia gritted his teeth, his heart filled with rage, but he had to face the armored monster that was already closing in.

“Fight to the end!”

He roared, pulling the kitchen knife from the tree, and with a powerful step, he charged at the armored monster, leaves swirling around him.

The burning sensation made him forget his fear in that instant, and he collided heavily with the monster.

“Bang!”

At the moment of impact, countless forces surged from within Zhou Jia, rushing to his arms. The kitchen knife in his hand seemed to turn into a cold blade.

In the depths of his mind, a realization emerged.

Breaking the limit!

This is...

what Fat Han described!

A dull thud, and the armored monster staggered to the ground.

Zhou Jia, on the other hand, rolled away, thrown far by the impact, and the kitchen knife was knocked off by the armor.

After killing two more wolf-headed monsters and breaking a certain limit, Zhou Jia’s strength had greatly increased, but he was still a bit weaker than the muscular, over two-meter-tall armored monster.

But,

he now had the power to resist.

Most importantly,

Zhou Jia got up from the ground, grabbed the axe handle, and kicked the car door off with one foot.

Then he looked at the armored monster.

He shouted:

“Beast!”

“Come on!”

...

At the same time,

in the forest, rustling sounds could be heard.

Black shadows appeared from all directions, slowly surrounding the group of several dozen people.

Among the black shadows,

occasionally, an armored figure could be seen.
