Wang Tiancheng slept very soundly, and the door of his room was knocked several times without waking him up. When he finally woke up, the sky was already bright. It gets light very early in the summer. He picked up his phone and saw several missed calls, some from people he knew and some from people he didn't. The ones he recognized were from his mother.

Naturally, his mother's call was out of concern for him. Wang Tiancheng thought about the moment when Long Hai took his mother's diamond ring, which made him feel extremely uncomfortable. He called his mother with deep emotion, also to reassure her.

Just as he hung up the phone, the door of his room started to knock. Wang Tiancheng opened the door, and the young waitress from last night, looking pitiful, stood there. She glared at Wang Tiancheng and said, "Are you incapable or something? I paid, but you didn't do it, making me sit in the hallway all night."

The young waitress, without waiting for Wang Tiancheng's response, walked in. It turned out that because she didn't serve Wang Tiancheng, she was scolded by the boss. She had knocked on his door several times last night, but there was no response, so she vented her anger on Wang Tiancheng.

Wang Tiancheng found it amusing; he had never encountered such a situation before, where a woman would actively seek a relationship with a man. Looking at the young waitress, who was sitting on the sofa looking a bit sad, Wang Tiancheng felt some sympathy, but he was absolutely not going to have a relationship with her out of sympathy.

Wang Tiancheng looked at the name tag on the young waitress's chest, which read "Gao Xiaomei." He repeated it twice in his mind, then picked up his backpack and walked out of the room. He went to the counter and asked the attendant, "Who is your boss?"

"A sir, do you have any needs? I am the boss here," a middle-aged man walked over and said, looking at Wang Tiancheng. He knew that this young man had come with the county party secretary, Xiao Po, and could not afford to offend him, so he was very polite.

"Last night, I was too tired. Don't make it hard for Gao Xiaomei," Wang Tiancheng said and walked out without waiting for a response.

Gao Xiaomei had already told Wang Tiancheng that County Party Secretary Xiao Po had left last night, so Wang Tiancheng naturally couldn't stay. Today was the day for reporting to the county party committee.

Wang Tiancheng was not very familiar with Fenglin County, though the county was not large. He didn't want to take a wrong turn, so he took a taxi. A few minutes later, he arrived at the entrance of the Fenglin County Party Committee. The Fenglin County Party Committee and government were quite impressive, with a cement road leading straight to the party committee building and two large TV walls at the entrance, playing advertisements.

Wang Tiancheng, carrying his backpack, walked in. As soon as he reached the entrance, he was stopped by a security guard, who said rudely, "What are you doing here? Who are you looking for? If you're here to file a complaint, go to the petition reception room." The security guard pointed to a room nearby, where a large sign read "Petition Reception."

This surprised Wang Tiancheng; they mistook him for a petitioner, which was quite amusing. "I'm not here to file a complaint; I'm here to report," Wang Tiancheng said rather rudely, disliking the security guard's attitude.

The security guard laughed and said, "What a new trick! Reporting? You're carrying luggage, are you planning to live in the party committee building?"

Wang Tiancheng ignored the security guard and walked in without a second thought.

The security guards, of course, couldn't let this go. Several of them, about six or seven in total, surrounded Wang Tiancheng.

Wang Tiancheng was not afraid of a fight, but he didn't expect to have one at the entrance of the county party committee. He shook his head helplessly, not wanting to be at a disadvantage. He put his backpack on the ground and said to the security guards, "Come on, all of you."

The lead security guard was taken aback and shouted, "How arrogant! Let's take him down!" He was the first to swing his baton and charge. The others followed suit.

For a moment, batons flew everywhere, but not at Wang Tiancheng. Instead, they flew around chaotically, followed by several crisp sounds as they hit the ground, and then several cries of pain and the sound of heavy objects falling.

Wang Tiancheng lightly clapped his hands, picked up his backpack, and headed straight for the building. Dealing with these people was no problem; he had faced much more dangerous opponents.

In the security room of the county party committee building, County Party Secretary Xiao Po looked at the head of the security department, Liao Hong, and said angrily, "You're a bunch of fools. You can't even handle this one young man with a dozen of you."

"Yes, yes, I'll call more people," Liao Hong said, bowing and nodding.

"Call more people? He's already inside the building," County Party Secretary Xiao Po said angrily, walking out of the security room and heading straight for his office. Xiao Po knew that Wang Tiancheng would definitely come to see him. He had originally planned to deal with Wang Tiancheng, but he didn't expect him to be so capable. This was also due to Long Hai's instructions.

Wang Tiancheng, after asking for directions, arrived at the door of County Party Secretary Xiao Po's office. He tidied up his clothes slightly and knocked gently on the door. Although he had met Xiao Po once, he was still the top official of Fenglin County, so he maintained his politeness.

The door to the county party secretary's office opened, and a beautiful young woman came out, saying to Wang Tiancheng, "Secretary Xiao asks you to come in."

Wang Tiancheng quickly walked in. At the large desk, County Party Secretary Xiao Po was writing something with a pen.

Wang Tiancheng did not sit down but walked a few steps forward and said to County Party Secretary Xiao Po, "Secretary Xiao, hello. I'm here to report."

County Party Secretary Xiao Po put down his pen and looked at Wang Tiancheng. Although he had confirmed with Long Hai that Wang Tiancheng had no connection to the provincial party secretary, he was still a bit uneasy and wanted to hear it from Wang Tiancheng himself.

"Wang, I want to hear the truth. What is your relationship with Provincial Party Secretary Lin?" County Party Secretary Xiao Po said with a smile, his eyes fixed on Wang Tiancheng.

Wang Tiancheng was a bit surprised. He knew that many officials were opportunistic, and Xiao Po was likely one of them. However, Wang Tiancheng was not good at lying and said sincerely, "We met on a plane, so you could say it was a chance encounter."

County Party Secretary Xiao Po sighed in relief, finally feeling at ease. He looked at Wang Tiancheng, his smile gone, and said seriously, "Wang, to strengthen your training, the county party committee has decided to send you to the grassroots for training. Here is the transfer order. When you get there, work hard." He handed a piece of paper with a red seal to Wang Tiancheng.

Wang Tiancheng quickly took it and looked at the text, which read, "Transferred to the Liu Village Township Office of Fenglin County, position: secretary."
