Chapter 1: Calling Wife from the very start

An Xingzhou felt that if he had a Chinese divination almanac 1 in his house, then it would definitely have four words written on it: Doing anything is unadvised.
As the type of host who shot his mouth off and made money live streaming gameplay at home, An Xingzhou could be said to be the otaku 2 of the otaku. Aside from huge matters he had to leave the house for, he could basically stay in his house until he died.
Today An Xingzhou saw the news of a young person’s sudden death after a long period of physical inactivity and confusing night and day and felt a rare sense of guilt. He decided to take a walk nearby. In the end, he hadn’t even walked for five minutes before he was soaked into a drowned rat from the pouring rain.
He turned decisively and ran, cursing in his mind while rejoicing that the park he was taking a walk in wasn’t far from his house——although the amount of rainfall destined that he would be completely soaked when he got home no matter if it was close or not.
An Xingzhou dashed the fastest he could with his hands covering his forehead. But just as he turned at the corner, he felt something fall from the sky.
A dark shadow passed by before his eyes. Before he could respond, in the next second his chest hurt, and he almost spat out a mouthful of blood, thinking that the next one to get on the news because of sudden death would be himself.
An Xingzhou unconsciously held his chest with his hands and noticed that the texture wasn’t right. Fluff that broke through the T-shirt seemed to have grown on his chest.
Huh, that wasn’t right. Fluff? Why was it hot and soft and moving?
He moved sideways and ducked until the eaves of a house, slowly lowering his head. He noticed he was holding something unknown at his chest.
An Xingzhou quietly raised his hands high in front of himself and noticed that what was lying on his palm was a wet little bunny.
It was really very small. Wet from the rainwater, its pinkish-white fur all stuck on its body wetly. Its body was slightly trembling, the tips of his pink and tender ears quivering, unknown if it was because it was cold or scared.
The little bunny trembled as it clung onto An Xingzhou’s hand, its nose arched as it sniffed his hand. It even rubbed its cheeks against him a few times with its eyes narrowed, as if was absorbing the weak warmth of his palm, but also as if it was acting spoiled.
An Xingzhou originally wanted to loudly curse the scammer-like perpetrator who’d bumped into him and almost made his heart stop beating on the spot but seeing the pitiful state of the perpetrator, his heart immediately softened.
An Xingzhou pulled the collar of his T-shirt, which had stuck onto him from getting soaked by the rain. His actions looked rough but in actuality were very gentle as he tucked the little bunny into his chest, his hand supporting it outside the T-shirt. He peered out, braving the rain and raising his head to look upstairs.
The little bunny lay on An Xingzhou’s chest well-behaved, its butt supported steadily by An Xingzhou.
An Xingzhou tried to check if he could find where the little bunny fell from, wanting to send it back to its original owner. But the rain was seriously too heavy: An Xingzhou hadn’t raised his head for more than 10 seconds before his eyes became red from the rainwater hitting.
Those raindrops landed on An Xingzhou’s face.
Slight raindrops hung on An Xingzhou’s eyelashes. The rainwater on his face slid down along his skin and his straight lower jaw, finally collecting on his chin. After shaking back and forth, it suddenly dropped, just happening to drip onto the forehead of the little bunny, who was lying on his chest and raising its eyes to look at An Xingzhou.
The little bunny’s ears trembled, and it shook its head, shaking away that drop of water and extending its tongue to lick the traces of water on An Xingzhou’s chest.
An Xingzhou didn’t notice at all and carried the little bunny to run back under the eaves of the house, pulling his collar while lowering his head to ask, “Whose bunny are you? How about I bring you home with me first and then stick some little advertisements to find your owner in a few days?”
The little bunny rubbed An Xingzhou’s chest, stepping on An Xingzhou’s hands a few times through the clothes, climbing up on An Xingzhou, and standing up.
It stood a bit unsteadily, poking its head outside the collar with great difficulty and using its little head to rub An Xingzhou’s chin. Afterward, it still wasn’t very satisfied, faintly thumping twice, standing on one head and directly falling backwards.
Fortunately, the little bunny was inside the clothes. After it fell backward, it was wrapped in the clothes.
An Xingzhou scooped it back, unconsciously holding the little bunny a bit higher.
"
"
This time the little bunny was satisfied. After rubbing a few times again, it extended its tongue to lick An Xingzhou’s chin.
The rabbit was small, its tongue also small, licking An Xingzhou’s chin wetly and warmly. It was only until it licked back and forth several times before it climbed back into the clothes, curling its body and closing its eyes.
It was An Xingzhou’s first time getting licked by a small animal. After being dazed for a long time, he coughed quietly, turning his head to pretend nothing happened with his ears slightly red.
But in reality, it was so cute he was cursing crazily in his mind.
It was way too cute. So little bunnies were this cute?! An Xingzhou thought, whatever, just take it home. I’m not returning it to the original wonder anymore. It’s coming with me since it scammed me. Is there anything wrong with that?
The little bunny fell asleep on An Xingzhou’s hand, its young body rising and falling with its breathing.
An Xingzhou carefully held the little bunny, the angel and devil in him getting into conflict.
But before he came to a conclusion, the rain gradually stopped. The sun jumped out from the rain clouds, the raindrops collected on the eaves dripping and dropping onto a wet piece of land.
An Xingzhou was scared the little bunny would get a cold and immediately stopped hesitating, walking home in long strides.
When An Xingzhou got home, carried out the little bunny to place it on the sofa, and was going to turn to go get a towel, the little bunny woke up.
The little bunny immediately started turning over and crawling, rolling and crawling to pounce on and grab the finger An Xingzhou was just going to retract. Then it crawled upwards smoothly, kicking its legs and stuffing its butt on An Xingzhou’s palm, its front claws hugging his arm tightly without letting go.
An Xingzhou couldn’t resist reaching out a hand to softly pinch the tips of the little bunny’s ears. “I’ll go get towels for you. Are you afraid of hair dryers?”
The little bunny opened its wet and round eyes to look at An Xingzhou, its ears twitching. It rubbed against the hand An Xingzhou pinched its ears with whiningly, stuffing his ears into An Xingzhou’s hand.
An Xingzhou felt as if he had been bestowed with favor for some reason.
Why did he feel as if this little bunny’s actions were saying——If you like pinching it, just pinch it more.
An Xingzhou felt like there was something wrong with his head. He picked up the little bunny and put it onto the sofa, but the little bunny was way too clever. He hadn’t even retracted his hand before his finger was caught, and it crawled upwards. He put it back, and the little bunny crawled up again, standing on his palm and hugging his hand without letting go.
One person and one bunny played this back and forth game until the little bunny got tired at the end and lay on An Xingzhou’s palm, licking An Xingzhou’s wrist with its wet eyes looking at An Xingzhou.
An Xingzhou: …
Having one’s heart pierced by thousands of arrows was as simple as this.
He picked up the little bunny with a cold expression, ran to his room to find a clean and dry towel, and pulled out a hairdryer to put it to the side, placing the little bunny on his thigh and starting to wipe its body.
The little bunny was extremely well-behaved. It didn’t resist even if it was shaking left and right from An Xingzhou’s wiping.
An Xingzhou finished wiping the little bunny’s body and flipped it over to have its belly face upwards to continue wiping.
The skin of the little bunny hid under its fur was pink and tender. An Xingzhou extended his finger and poked it softly. The little bunny sprang with it, its mouth moving and making whining sounds, and reached out his claws to hug An Xingzhou’s finger.
An Xingzhou teased it a bit before continuing to wipe the little bunny’s body. But before he wiped for long, his hand started acting up. He quickly googled on his phone how to check rabbit genders and then pulled the fur down there to observe closely, flicking it a bit in shock. “So you’re a boy!”
The flick made the little bunny tremble, its paws covering its face and its ears straight: “Mmph!”
It was only when the little bunny’s fur was wiped half-dry that he opened the hairdryer, turning on the lowest level of warm air and blowing the little bunny’s hair from a distance.
The little bunny looked to be tiny, but its fur was one layer covering another, extremely thick.
After the soft fur was all blown dry, it immediately fluffed up, turning from a pitiful, weak, and helpless little bunny into a chubby little bunny.
An Xingzhou turned off the hairdryer and held down the little bunny to rub it a few times, sighing and saying, “I’m a bit reluctant to send you away.”
The little rabbit that got sleepy from the warm air suddenly quivered and, holding onto An Xingzhou, stood up.
An Xingzhou reached out and poked the little bunny’s head, asking it, “How come you stood up?”
The little bunny’s nose twitched, and it suddenly opened his mouth. “Wife!”
