Chapter 2: This is mate seeking, okay

6 min read1,522 words

A languid, male voice suddenly sounded in the empty room, scaring An Xingzhou so much that he scooped up the little bunny, pressed it into his embrace, and turned abruptly to shout, “Who is it! Where are you!”

The little bunny almost suffocated to death, struggling to poke out its head. “Wife, I’m here.”

An Xingzhou immediately lowered his head and lifted the blanket. “Where are you hiding! I’m calling the police!”

The little bunny was a bit anxious, starting to kick its legs to come out. It’d struggled out half its body with difficulty when he was forced back by a shove of An Xingzhou’s palm. “Don’t come out, it’s dangerous.”

An Xingzhou talked as he bent over to check under the bed. After he finished checking under the bed, he started opening the closet. “Sicko! I’m telling you, quickly come out and kneel to apologize. Otherwise, you’ll definitely get beaten to death by me with a stick if you wait until I find you!”

The little bunny, hearing the six words “beaten to death with a stick”, its body immediately stiffened, its claws trembling a few times helplessly. Even its ears were standing straight, not daring to move. It was a long while before it lowered its head to lick An Xingzhou’s hand, quietly saying, “W-wife…don’t beat me…I’m your little bunny…”

An Xingzhou was still randomly rummaging through the room. After hearing this he was dazed for a moment before he lowered his head silently, coincidentally meeting the gaze of the little bunny that was raising its head to look at him.

An Xingzhou’s lips trembled twice. “I’m hearing things?”

The little bunny shook its head, its fluffy fur brushing across An Xingzhou. “Wife!”

“…” An Xingzhou’s eyes rolled upwards, almost fainting.

5 minutes later, An Xingzhou finished showering and came out.

The little bunny had been placed on the table of the living room, blinking its wet eyes and pitifully and innocently looking at An Xingzhou, who was sitting on the sofa distantly.

“W-wife…” The little bunny walked forward tremblingly, but before it’d moved two steps, An Xingzhou slapped a ruler right in front of it.

“Be quiet! Be still!” An Xingzhou still couldn’t really understand that a little bunny he picked up could speak human and forced the little bunny backward with a ruler, asking with a frightening expression, “Are you a demon?”

The little bunny extended its little leg, trying to kick the ruler a little further. But An Xingzhou glared at it, and it obediently shrunk back, putting its leg under its stomach. “Not a demon~ I’m a bunny bun.”

“…” An Xingzhou watched the little bunny’s mouth move and spit out a clear sentence, immediately feeling like his heart couldn’t take it anymore and subconsciously saying in criticism, “Whose bunny bun would be able to speak human?!”

“Wife’s bunny bun.” The little bunny lay on the table obediently. “I can become human in the future! Like Wife!”

“Then you’re a demon.” An Xingzhou maintained his calmness with difficulty to come to a conclusion, asking again, “Why do you call me ‘Wife’?”

“Because you’re my Wife.” The little bunny tilted its head and inched forward a bit while wiggling its butt, saying languidly, “I looked for you so so long. My siblings all became adults. Only I’m still a bunny bun.”

The little bunny’s wet eyes stared at An Xingzhou, saying, “And then when you walked past, I finally found you~ I fell for you immediately, so I fell into your embrace with a smack. This is mate seeking, okay.”

An Xingzhou couldn’t resist turning his face to the side from the staring, asking curiously, “You’ve always been looking for me? Did we…know each other before?”

Several stories of foxes repaying debts of gratitude passed through An Xingzhou’s mind as he wondered if it was karma from a love affair from when he was small 1 .

The little bunny stood up and shook its head, raising its tiny paws to rub its cheeks. “No. I was always looking for someone I like, and you’re the person I like! You took me home, blew and rubbed my fur, and touched my wee-wee. That’s agreeing to be my Wife! We all find wives like this!”

An Xingzhou didn’t have time to be glad that he hadn’t incurred karma from a love affair before being stunned by this perverted logic. Remembering his hand acting up just now and flicking the little bunny’s wee-wee, he cursed himself in his mind, saying only after a long while, “…Are you guys some type of large-scale scammer (Peng Ci) gang?”

“How did Wife know I’m called Peng Ci 2 ?! Call it again!” The little bunny immediately crawled up from the table’s surface and rolled. “Wife, Wife! Call my name!”

The little bunny had been staying well-behaved like a mochi ball just now. Now he immediately fell into an excited state, shaking its round tail and jumping forward a few steps. “It sounds so nice when Wife calls my name! Call it again! Call it!”

“Damn, he’s really called Peng Ci (scam)…” An Xingzhou got dizzy from the calls of “Wife” left and right. Watching this little bunny called Peng Ci in front of him moving its little arms and legs and jumping closer, he quickly opened his mouth to say, “Okay okay okay! Peng Ci! Don’t scam anymore, okay. Don’t call me ‘Wife’! Stop jumping forward!”

“Call me Ci Ci~” Peng Xi obediently stopped its actions of jumping forward, falling backward while raising its claws with a smacking sound, facing its stomach towards An Xingzhou. An Xingzhou didn’t know why, but he heard some shyness from Peng Ci’s voice.

Peng Ci said shyly, “But you are Wife. Only Wife can touch my small wee-wee. You already touched it!”

“…” An Xingzhou was silent for two seconds and couldn’t resist covering his face, sincerely apologizing for his hand acting up, “Sorry, next time my hand definitely won’t act up. But you said that you have a small wee-wee…”

An Xingzhou said earnestly, “You’re a demon. I don’t blame you for not understanding the ways of the world, but humans just don’t like small things, especially that. You understand?”

Peng Ci said, extremely surprised, “Wife is starting to worry about this so quickly?!”

“Wife, don’t worry. Dad said it would become big. Dad was also like this before, but later Mom complained that it was too big.” Peng Ci rolled over and scratched its ears with its leg while saying, “Wife, help me scratch it. It’s itchy behind my ears.”

An Xingzhou watched Peng Ci raise its hindfoot scratching its ears at high speed, suddenly feeling that this world was really amazing and that his acceptance ability was the world’s top 1. He wouldn’t extend his hand even if he died, saying coldly, “Scratch it yourself!”

Peng Ci heard it and immediately retracted its hindfoot, shaking its head, and shaking the fluffy fur on its body, half squatting to aim, its hindfoot suddenly gathering momentum.

It jumped into An Xingzhou’s embrace from the table, accurate as a little cannonball.

“…” An Xingzhou was smashed once again and was speechless for a moment. “You scammed me like this from the start, right?”

Peng Ci couldn’t understand the meaning of “scam” and thought that An Xingzhou was calling him, worrying only about himself and finding a nice place to lay down. He extended his paw and patted An Xingzhou’s hand. “Call me Ci Ci. Wife, rub me!”

An Xingzhou was patted lightly by Peng Ci’s paws. In a moment of absent-mindedness, he subconsciously placed his hand on Peng Ci’s back.

Peng Ci’s fur was very fluffy, easily drowning his hand. The skin under the fur was warm and tender, the texture extremely comfortable.

An Xingzhou was immediately bewitched by the fluffiness and immediately forgot that this rabbit treated him as its Wife, grabbing Peng Ci and crazily rubbing it, even burying his face into Peng Ci’s stomach and starting to suck the rabbit in.

Peng Ci was infatuated with the rubbing, its short limbs raised high and trembling in a mess. Its ears also trembled, its large, round eyes half-closed. The entire rabbit had already fallen into a hazy state, quietly grinding its teeth.

An Xingzhou extended his hand and rubbed Peng Ci’s lower chin, very clearly feeling Peng Ci’s molars grinding against each other.

An Xingzhou: “?”

What was this? It got into its head?

Peng Ci grinded his teeth while whining, “Mhm~ Wife, r-rub…”

An Xingzhou’s hand trembled from the call, shutting Peng Ci’s slightly ajar chin with a clap.

Peng Ci immediately awakened just now, turning its head to look tearily at An Xingzhou. “Wife…Is this domestic violence…”
