Chapter 16: So big that Wife will beg me to be smaller!
6 min read1,590 words
Peng finally stopped gulping with difficulty, and An Xingzhou breathed a sigh of relief. But then, he saw Peng Ci leap up nimbly with a kick of its hind legs, flying towards the table.
An Xingzhou didn’t even think before immediately reaching out to scoop it from midair, accurately holding onto the lower half of Peng Ci’s soft belly and pulling it back.
Peng Ci struggled a few times. Noticing that An Xingzhou wasn’t letting it go, it whimpered a few times before its ears reddened little by little.
An Xingzhou hugged Peng Ci firmly. “Don’t drink anymore. Be good. We’ll be eating soon. Don’t drink anymore.”
His tone of voice was like that of a gentle mother urging her son not to eat snacks before a meal, but also like that of a virtuous wife urging her husband not to drink alcohol anymore.
“I—I’m not going to drink anymore…” Peng Ci’s body twitched a few times, and it spread its claws as it said quietly, “Wife, let me go…”
“Huh?” An Xingzhou thought he would have to coax it for a while and didn’t expect Peng Ci to reply so quickly. For a while, it was a little unbelievable.
He pressed Peng Ci’s little belly. “Really? Why are you so well behaved?”
“Mmph——” Peng Ci didn’t have the courage to move, only whimpering a few times after An Xingzhou had rubbed it twice again, and urged, “Wife, hurry and let go…”
“What? Didn’t you always want me to rub you before?” The more An Xingzhou thought about it, the more he thought it was strange. He was afraid Peng Ci was immediately going to drink Cola after coaxing him into letting go, and his grip became even tighter. “Are you lying to me?”
“I’m not!” Peng Ci scratched at An Xingzhou’s wrist with its little paws and pushed him a few times. After realizing that it couldn’t push him away, it said, “Wife squished my wee-wee! Squeak squeak!”
An Xingzhou: “?”
Only then did An Xingzhou realize that there was a small, hot, and hard thing pressing against his palm.
“I didn’t. I didn’t touch anything at all. I didn’t feel anything.” He immediately let go, put his hands behind him, and stared up at the ceiling. He even emphasized again in the desire to cover it up, “Really. I didn’t feel anything at all.”
Peng Ci: “”…
An Xingzhou alone felt awkward for a while, and realizing that Peng Ci didn’t make the slightest sound, he looked down to see that Peng Ci had rolled to the other end of the sofa when he wasn’t paying attention. The rabbit was entirely hidden behind the pillow, only exposing two sharp, little ears.
An Xingzhou pushed the pillow, and Peng Ci also spread its short little legs, hopping forward a few steps and continuing to hide itself inside.
He immediately got mischievous and pushed the pillow again. When Peng Ci jumped over, he then pulled the pillow towards his side, teasing Peng Ci into jumping here and there. He only retracted his hand after teasing it for quite a while and poked Peng Ci’s head. “What’s wrong? Embarrassed?”
Peng Ci let out a few “hmphs” and turned around to ignore An Xingzhou. When An Xingzhou rubbed it, it even reached out its paws to kick him away.
An Xingzhou caught Peng Ci’s soft and chubby little paws, rubbing them and asking, “Why are you throwing a tantrum again?”
Peng Ci kicked its legs several times forcefully and turned its head to look aggrievedly at An Xingzhou when it realized it couldn’t kick him away.
It glanced at An Xingzhou resentfully as if he were a scumbag, and he hurriedly let go.
Peng Ci retracted its hind paws and raised its butt sulkily with its back to An Xingzhou, burying its face in its front paws and saying quietly, “Wife is disdainful of me…”
“What?” An Xingzhou poked Peng Ci’s highly raised, round butt and moved over to rub Peng Ci’s head, rubbing along its ears. “Don’t accuse me wrongly. When did I act disdainful of you?”
Peng Ci’s ears quivered, and it yelled tearily, “Wife is disdainful of my small wee-wee! You even squished it head-on but said you didn’t feel anything at all! Nothing at all! Sob sob sob sob!”
An Xingzhou immediately stiffened and grinned, explaining, “That’s not what I meant… I did feel a little something, a little something…”
“Just a little…” Peng Ci cried and cried and finally stopped covering its face, turning over with its stomach facing upwards towards An Xingzhou. It complained, “I’m still just a little bunny bun right now! After I become human in the future, it’ll also grow!”
Oh, so its masculine dignity was insulted.
As expected, even demons couldn’t avoid this kind of problem.
An Xingzhou could completely understand, but he still couldn’t control his eyes after hearing Peng Ci’s words. They flitted around a few times before looking suspiciously between Peng Ci’s two legs——actually, he couldn’t see anything because Peng Ci had too much fur.
But its fur being able to completely cover that area was already enough to show the problem.
An Xingzhou suspected that his expression was too obvious as Peng Ci hmphed heavily, hopped up to gently bite the finger An Xingzhou placed on the sofa, and raised a flag. “Wife, just you wait! I’ll get bigger in the future! So big that Wife will beg me to be smaller!”
An Xingzhou: “…”
“T-there’s no need.” An Xingzhou thought in his head silently, ‘I’ll immediately go look for a female rabbit in a few days. You guys discuss the size problem yourselves!’
After An Xingzhou and Peng Ci were tormented for the entire day, the sky outside gradually darkened.
An Xingzhou took Peng Ci to take a bath and only went to take the bath after he blew dry its fur. A washed-up, clean, and refreshed human and rabbit sat together in the dining room to eat.
Peng Ci didn’t bury its head in the bowl to eat like little animals. It sat on the table, cupping rabbit feed in its front paws and nibbling on it, its posture like that of a little hamster nibbling on sunflower seeds.
Its rabbit teeth gnawed on its rabbit food, each hubble making a crisp crunch sound. Its soft and round cheeks moved with its mouth.
An Xingzhou ate take-out on the side, glancing at Peng Ci with every bite and thinking why Peng Ci was enjoying its food so much.
An Xingzhou wasn’t the only one eyeing the pot while eating from his own bowl 1 ; Peng Ci was also nibbling at the rabbit feed it had specified purchasing while quietly peering over at An Xingzhou’s take-out.
An Xingzhou was eating braised ribs, the aroma overwhelming.
Peng Ci hugged its own food and hesitated. Then, with a swing of its arm, it threw the rabbit feed back into the bowl, its feet shifting dishonestly. It whooshed over to An Xingzhou’s hand and rubbed the back of An Xingzhou’s hand with its butt, asking without a trace, “Wife, what are you eating?”
“Braised ribs.” An Xingzhou threw a rib into his mouth and spat out an entire bone soon after.
Peng Ci’s rabbit feed wasn’t enjoyable anymore at that moment.
It swallowed its saliva and rubbed its butt against An Xingzhou’s hand again. Its round eyes shone. “Wife, I want to eat too.”
An Xingzhou pointed at Peng Ci’s bowl with his chopsticks. “Aren’t you eating?”
Peng Ci turned its head to glance at its bowl and then glanced at the bright and alluring braised ribs in front of An Xingzhou. It quietly extended one of its short legs and kicked its bowl further away with a “swoosh,” eagerly standing up to hug and shake An Xingzhou’s wrist a few times. “Wife, I want to eat ribs too.”
It opened its little mouth in great self-awareness. “Ah——”
An Xingzhou: “…”
An Xingzhou didn’t have a choice. Looking at Peng Ci’s mouth and then its clean and furry little paws, he could only pick out a rib, tear the rib into small pieces slowly with his fingers, and place it in Peng Ci’s mouth to feed to Peng Ci.
Peng Ci immediately moved closer and took the meat. After it chewed a few times, its eyes widened a lot, its entire body clinging onto An Xingzhou’s hand without letting go. It smacked its mouth a few times and moved forward with a “Ah ah”.
An Xingzhou held the meat a little higher, and Peng Ci craned its neck to chase it. But An Xingzhou held it even higher, so Peng Ci tucked its paws in front of its chest and stood up, its tail shaking crazily behind it. “Wife, gimme! Wife!”
An Xingzhou extended his hand and said, “Hand.”
Peng Ci immediately put its paw on his hand.
An Xingzhou fed Peng Ci the meat. When Peng Ci finished eating, it continued to fish the rabbit. “Bow.”
Peng Ci’s two front paws pressed together to bow to An Xingzhou.
When Peng Ci finished with “down”, “roll”, and “shake your ears” and got full, it laid on the table and digested the food for a while before it finally reacted. It immediately turned over and looked at An Xingzhou, yelling, “Wife! You treated me like a doggo!”
