Chapter 34: It was because he wanted to protect him (pt. 2)

“Sob sob… I’m Ci Ci!” Peng Ci rubbed his eyes and looked at An Xingzhou aggrievedly.

An Xingzhou: “…”

At an estimated height of 6 foot 1, with eight-pack abs, large eyes, a high bridged nose, a natural smile, bright pale skin, and trembling black curly hair, this puppy-like, shockingly handsome eighteen or nineteen year old was supposed to be Peng Ci?!

An Xingzhou was about to faint.

Seeing An Xingzhou stay silent, Peng Ci was both scared and aggrieved. He rubbed against An Xingzhou carefully a little more. “Wife, it really is me. Don’t ignore me…”

“I finally became human. Aren’t you happy, Wife?” Peng Ci’s eyes reddened, as if he would cry if An Xingzhou kept silent.

An Xingzhou struggled to say, “…Ci Ci?”

“Yeah!” Peng Ci nodded his head wildly. But in the next moment, two long bunny ears appeared on Peng Ci’s head with two “puffs”.

An Xingzhou: “?”

With the next “puff,” Peng Ci suddenly turned around and raised his butt towards An Xingzhou. “Wife! Check for me! Did my tail show up too?”

An Xingzhou: “??”

An Xingzhou couldn’t believe that the muscled and firm butt in front of him was the soft bunny butt that he normally loved rubbing. But the round, fluffy white bunny tail above the butt told him that it was all real.

An Xingzhou pinched his nose, getting an overload of information that made him feel like he was going to crash.

But before he crashed, there was something important he had to do.

An Xingzhou yelled, “Put on some clothes before you talk!”

Stop walking around! If you keep doing it, I’m going to go blind!!

In the end, An Xingzhou tied up the crazy fan who showed up to profess his love, threw him to the side, and then dug up one of his T-shirts for Peng Ci. But when it came to pants, Peng Ci wouldn’t wear it, no matter what.

“Wear it!” An Xingzhou’s head was hurting from Peng Ci’s sobbing, and he whipped Peng Ci with his pants. “Is it that hard to wear a pair of pants?”

“Sob sob sob…” Peng Ci squirmed about even while rubbing against An Xingzhou. “My tail gets stuck in the pants! It’s uncomfortable!”

Seeing Peng Ci run here and there, with his thing down there swinging around, An Xingzhou completely froze. He grabbed a little blanket, wrapped it around Peng Ci’s behind, and tied a firm knot. He even slapped Peng Ci’s butt out of habit. “Behave yourself!”

“Oh.” Peng Ci shook his waist and butt, finally calming down. His ears shook up and down happily. “This is good! This is comfortable!”

After Peng Ci finished speaking, he lunged into An Xingzhou’s arms forcefully like he did before. Peng Ci had forgotten that he wasn’t a little bunny anymore but a human who was even taller than An Xingzhou. With his lunge, An Xingzhou fell straight onto the ground in a complete mess.

“Ugh…” An Xingzhou landed on his butt and sucked in a breath from the pain. He was about to curse when he saw Peng Ci’s bright eyes and found himself unable to say anything.

‘Humans are really so superficial,’ An Xingzhou thought.

When Peng Ci was a little bunny, An Xingzhou was so absorbed in the compliments and cuteness of his adorable pet that he fulfilled Peng Ci’s requests one after another, to the point that An Xingzhou lost his principles and spoiled it endlessly.

But now that Peng Ci was human, he still couldn’t scold Peng Ci before his handsome face and large, round eyes.

‘Damn it.’ An Xingzhou silently thought, ‘Whatever, superficiality is human nature. Not my fault.’

Peng Ci was straddling An Xingzhou, and with his knee on the floor tugging on it slightly, the blanket fell to his thighs.

He wrapped his arms around An Xingzhou’s neck, rubbing against An Xingzhou’s hair and fair with his chin and poking out its tongue to lick the corners of An Xingzhou’s mouth as it did before. “Wife! I became human! I finally became human!”

An Xingzhou realized in retrospect that the corners of his mouth were wet and hot. The areas that Peng Ci had licked felt strange and made him feel numb.

After freezing for a moment, he pushed Peng Ci aside and got up. An Xingzhou pressed his hand against Peng Ci’s shoulder to keep him from getting close again. “Wait a second. I’m still not used to…”

“What is Wife not used to?” Peng Ci shook its tail, making the blanket shake along with it.

“Is Wife not used to me being human? I really did turn human with a ‘poof’! Take a look at Ci Ci!” He struggled to push his head over to An Xingzhou, pretending to be a giraffe. “Look some more, Wife! Look at my face! Even I dun’t know what I look like! I didn’t hawe the time to look!”

“You look good.” An Xingzhou pushed Peng Ci’s head away, but as soon as he let go, Peng Ci immediately reached over and clung onto An Xingzhou’s neck. His entire body was hanging off of An Xingzhou’s body.

Peng Ci completely ignored An Xingzhou’s shoving and clung firmly onto him. Sticking and rubbing against An Xingzhou, he asked slowly, “Wife, what should we do with that person outside? Are we gonna throw him out?”

“I’ll just call the police later.” An Xingzhou suddenly realized something and asked, “Why did you suddenly become human?”

“I don’t know!” Peng Ci was confused too. “The noise woke me up, and I heard you guys ahguing. I rushed out to see what was happening and saw that person trying to hug Wife right then! Wife was going to hit him, and I was so angwy too. I have to protect Wife, so I charged out and kicked him!”

He finished and turned to look at An Xingzhou. “Wife, when did I become human?”

An Xingzhou said speechlessly, “How would I know that when even you don’t know?”

“Oh yeah…” Peng Ci clenched his hands into fists to rub his face. “It’s okay. Even if I don’t know the reason why, anyways, I became human!”

An Xingzhou: “…”

An Xingzhou fell silent for a while, but suddenly, a lightbulb lit up over his head, and he looked at Peng Ci.

Peng Ci was still confused, but An Xingzhou had figured out the reason that Peng Ci became human.

It was because Peng Ci wanted to protect him.

Peng Ci had to become human to do the things that bunnies couldn’t do, like kicking and punching.

That was the reason that Bunny Yuan mentioned Peng Ci had to find.

Now he had found it.
