Ye Lan chose a dagger named Qingliu Wanyue; its color was light green, like floating clouds and flowing water. It was shaped like a crescent moon; the point of it was as sharp as snow.

She took the dagger up and squatted, her icy cool eyes fixed on the owner Wu, who was now paralyzed with fear on the floor. To Master Jin, however, the way Ye Lan glared at him seemed to have some freezing power, which made him feel suffocated.

Where did this girl come from? He backed up and hurried to wipe out the sweat on his forehead.

“Mr. Wu, here’s the money for the dagger!”

Ye Lan stood up and threw Old Wu a bag of gold coins without a blink of her eyes and said indifferently, “You can keep the change!”

Ye Lan left before Old Wu nodded, nevertheless, Master Jin wouldn’t let her go and blocked her way with his tiger-like stout figure.

It seemed like this girl wanted the hard way! Master Jin had never been humiliated by other men like that, let alone a woman!

He wouldn’t let this go easily, and threatened Ye Lan, “I saw the dagger first! Give it to me!”

Ye Lan raised her eyebrows and sneered at him, “Even though you saw it first, I have just bought it. If you want it, see if you can take it from me!”

Master Jin became utterly discomfited and turned around to Old Wu with his eyes staring at him straight, “I will pay two bags of gold coins!” Old Wu understood and rolled over and stood up.

With the support of Master Jin, he was immediately pumped up.

“Did I ever say I will sell that to you, Miss? Who pays the most get the dagger.”

He grinned and looked back at Master Jin who was now eased up a bit, and kept flattering him, “This Qingliu Wanyue is totally made for you, Master Jin!”

Wu’s words satisfied Jin and he went up proudly to take the dagger away from Ye Lan and raised his voice deliberately, “Miss, now the dagger is mine… you can only get this with two more bags of gold coins, can you do that?”

As Ye Lan didn’t have enough money with her and the dagger wasn’t a must to buy, she sneered at him and walked outside of the store bypassing the man.

“Stop her!”

“What do you want?” Ye Lan didn’t bother to look at the guards in her way and turned herself sideways and looked back at him.

The sun set glow slanting from the outside, immersing her with the light and shadow; her thick eyelash seemed to frost with her indescribable charm.

The hostility around Ye Lan did frighten Master Jin, but he went for it anyhow.

“I don’t want anything…” Jin said sensually, “Miss, don’t let a dagger ruin our relationship!”

“It’s just a dagger, I can have as many as I want!” He passed the dagger to her and cravenly got close to her body, then he whispered, “This… is my gift for you…”

Ye Lan ignored him and turned round towards the gate of the store.

“You silly girl, you are looking for trouble! Ungrateful bitch!” Master Jin was pissed off and put on a malicious looke while he yelled to his guards, “Tie up this stupid girl. I am gonna have a good night tonight!”

He continued with his scolding as he hadn’t vented out his anger, “You shameless dirty bitch, look at your clothes, I don’t even know how long you have been wearing them…”

Jin pointed at Ye Lan and covered his nose as if he disliked her. The shop owner Wu, on the other hand, was fanning eagerly with his sleeves, trying to fan away the smelly greasy sweat smell—the body odor of Jin.

The guards surrounded Ye Lan, they thought it was a piece of cake to deal with such a little girl and refused to have any conversation with Ye but rather wielding their machetes and spears.

However, the indifferent stare Ye cast on them was indistinct and vague, making them shiver with cold.

Their morale was lost to some extent before they were engaged, so they just stood there and were slow to take further step.

“Why don’t you take action? Move!”

A dense crowd of people inside the little weapon store soon surrounded the skinny figure of Ye Lan. The on-lookers were all wondering that this poor girl would never get away with Master Jin’s molesting.

Ye Lan chuckled and flipped her sleeve; a sudden gust of chilly wind was formed, blowing sand and snow, making everyone present unable to open their eyes.

The guards couldn’t have a clear vision.

The corner of her lips twitched, Ye Lan said, “The girl is hidding behindMr. Wu! Catch her!”

The man-like voice sound squeaky, like the croaking of a toad. No one would doubt that this voice was from Master Jin.

After getting the order, the guards swarmed towards Wu and had a chaotic fumble of the person behind him, and tied the person up after a frantic hurry-scurry.

When the windy sand was gone, Ye Lan looked at Master Jin who was then tied all around with bruises on his face, and smiled mischievously, “Master Jin, I am done fooling you around!”

The guards were stunned to see that they got the wrong person, so they all stood still, too terrified to look at their master.

But… it was clearly Master’s order just now, wasn’t it?!

“You bastards! Bunch of useless crap, being fooled around by a little girl!”

Master Jin had now lost all his patience and roared desperately, “How dare you fool me, bitch! Kill her!”

Ye Lan smoothed her sleeves without turning back and a vague voice came, “Want to kill me? Stop embarrassing yourself by making my hands dirty, will you?”

She didn’t look back, but it was already a great blood-shed behind her.

With a flash of cold light came a 1.5 meter long sword falling from above her head; something grazed the corner of her skirt—two pikes were piecing towards her without a sound; to make matters worse, daggers with curved shanks were cast at the middle of her spine…

Master Jin was confident that this time the silly girl would end up dying—there was only one outcome messing around with him, ‘Death’!

But before he knew it, all of the guards became still; their appearance of fighting seemed pretty funny; their hands holding the swords were still in the air. There were only inches of room between the blade and Ye Lan. A reflection of an extremely devilish face was seen on the thin edge of the blade.

She walked slowly and every guard she passed was converted into blood mist. Her eyes were blood red as well, glistening with weird light, falling on the already paralyzed Master Jin.

The ability of temporarily freezing time…Master Jin stared at Ye Lan who was approaching him with his wide-open eyes in disbelief, murmuring at the same time.

“This, this is time freezing!? You are, you are a spiritual cultivator?!”

Ye Lan remained silent, an undecipherable smile was formed at the corner of her mouth.

The blood mist filled the store. The girl who were clear of that out of the thick fog seemed like a demon from hell, emitting the air of grimness and reminding people of the god of death.

Yes, god of death, the god who had always been lazy and lived a quiet life of seclusion, the god who enjoyed lying under the Tree of Rebirth and falling asleep with the fragrance of the deadliest flower Black Datura on earth.

Master Jin was now frightened to death, trying to escape through the back door, climbing and rolling like crazy. Ye Lan leaped forward and got in his way.

“What, what do you want?”

Ye Lan remained silent with a smile on her face, a smile which was even more freezing than an abyss.

“Please don’t kill me, please don’t, Miss!” Owner Wu crawled over and kept kowtowing. “My blindness has caused you loads of trouble! Please may you be generous and forgiving, let me and Master Jin go!”

Master Jin still got his temper though shocked, “Girl, don’t be so full of yourself. You are now the enemy of the whole Jinyin Commercial Firm if you are against me! Tell you what, your good days end now!”

“Master, will you stop…”

Ye Lan stared at Jin with her cold eyes and said angrily, “You are still so stubborn when you are about to die?”

“This, I mean, Miss… if there is one person in the world you cannot kill, it’s Master Jin. He is the eldest son of the commercial firm.”

“So what?” Ye Lan squinted and forced Wu to lower his head under her harsh look, “Thee who bullied me, must die!”

“The commercial firm is the economic lifeblood throughout the Continent, if Master Jin dies, there will be no heir for the firm… if the firm collapses, all the people on this Continent will starve!”

Before owner Wu finished talking, Master Jin had managed to escape from the back door. He even threatened her that he would take revenge before he made his escape.

Ye Lan, after hearing what owner Wu had said, didn’t chase after him as she knew that if she really killed Jin, more people would be starving. Why would she add fuel to the fire?

Other people being alive or not was their own business, which had nothing to do with her, nor did she have the right to decide other people’s right of living.

“I will take the ‘Qingliu Wanyue’ then!”

“Miss, here’s, your money…” owner Wu cupped the bag of gold coins and passed it to Ye Lan, “Sorry about the trouble just now…”

“This is for me buying the dagger.”

“No need for the money, you may take it as a gift from me.”

Ye Lan said ‘No need’ after hearing the words when she approached the gate and left without turning her head.
