Imagine the feeling of being hit by a scorching fireball. In just a few seconds, the unfortunate pirate, engulfed in flames, screamed and jumped into the icy sea, never to be seen again.

Suddenly, a chill ran through the bodies of dozens of pirates. They looked at each other, then took a few steps back in horror. However, the one-eyed giant, who had nearly lost his life, didn't care about all that. With a mad look on his face, he roared, "Damn it, what are you afraid of? He's just one man... damn it!"

Halfway through his roar, he suddenly saw the kind smile of the black-haired man. The one-eyed giant immediately stepped back in terror. The dozens of pirates screamed and ran away in a frenzy, but before they could turn around, the magic ring's light shone again.

Boom, boom, boom. In the continuous explosions, five or six pirates immediately burst into flames. Only the one-eyed giant was frantically jumping and dodging, using a few rocks for cover to barely avoid the fireballs.

"Is this...?" Christine coughed violently but still supported herself with an anchor, her face full of shock as she looked at Lin Taiping, "You are... you are... a mage?"

"I wish, but unfortunately, I'm not." Lin Taiping straightened his collar with a serious expression and even offered her a water pouch, "However, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lin Taiping, I am twenty-two years old, I am in good health, from a respectable family, and I am still unmarried."

Is this a match-making session? Christine opened her eyes wide in speechlessness, unsure whether to express gratitude first or ask if the other party minded the age difference, or... be careful!

Bang! As another pirate fell, the one-eyed giant, now charred, suddenly rushed out from behind the rocks.

At such close range, he roared in despair and suddenly took out a bottle of black potion: "Damn it! I didn't want to use this life-burning potion, but since you've forced me into a corner, let's all go to hell together!"

In an instant, as the black potion was swallowed, his face suddenly glowed with blood, and his muscular body swelled even more, growing to three meters tall with a crackling sound, like an angry black bear disturbed from hibernation.

At this moment, the one-eyed giant, originally just an ordinary warrior, had forcibly enhanced himself by burning his life force. Wielding a sharp and heavy battle-axe, he roared ferociously and actually split the incoming fireball with a swing.

"Be careful!" Christine's face changed slightly as she endured her coughing, swinging the anchor to block the heavy axe. The clash of metal was heard, and she barely managed to hold it off, but at that moment, the curse inside her brought intense pain again.

In that instant of weakness, she could no longer resist. The one-eyed giant roared madly and kicked her in the stomach, then leaped high, the gleaming axe descending viciously: "Pretty boy, you're dead!"

Boom! The axe viciously struck the sand, and that was all it did!

After firing the last fireball to block, Lin Taiping slowly retreated a few steps and kindly reminded, "You know, I don't plan on dying until I've enjoyed life... but if you're not busy, why don't you turn around and look?"

What? The one-eyed giant almost instinctively turned his head. In a flash, a huge totem stone pillar came at him, carrying a scorching wind that struck his nose.

Boom! The unfortunate giant's face contorted, and he involuntarily knelt down. In his terrified gaze, a fierce and vicious bull's head, breathing white steam, approached menacingly: "Die! Anyone who dares to harm Lin is our tribe's enemy!"

In the next moment, as if responding to Tulu's anger, dozens of bull-headed men jumped down the hill, wielding mountainous totem stone pillars like tanks, crushing everything in their path.

Pirates, life-burning potions, all were nothing in the face of the overwhelming might of the bull-headed men!

In just a moment, apart from the still coughing Christine, there was not a single standing human on the beach. The one-eyed giant, kneeling with his axe, seemed ready to fight to the death, but he was met with a merciless and frenzied beating—

"Damn it, you're dead! Anyone who goes against Lin is against our bull-headed tribe!"

"Right, right, without Lin, we wouldn't have food, and we wouldn't taste that delicious food again. How dare you do this, go to hell!"

"Wait, where are you hitting? Move, move, let me have a turn!"

In the chaos of strange cries, the poor one-eyed giant was surrounded by a group of bull-headed men and beaten mercilessly. Especially the beautiful bull-headed girl, Lya, screamed in anger, swinging a large iron pot wildly: "Die, die, how dare you hurt my dear, I'll fight you to the death!"

Dear? Grandma? Lin Taiping couldn't help but shiver and finally couldn't bear to watch. He coughed lightly and reminded, "That's enough, and if you really want to beat him up, at least take his axe and wallet first, they won't be worth much with blood on them."

Right, Tulu and the others suddenly realized and immediately transformed from ruthless thugs to savage bandits, stripping the one-eyed giant clean and dragging him to Lin Taiping like a fat pig ready for slaughter.

"Listen, everyone is busy," Lin Taiping stroked his chin and smiled, raising a finger, "So, I'll give you two choices—first, tell me everything you know, including who you are and who this Miss Christine is..."

What about the second? The one-eyed giant wanted to ask, but when he saw the bull-headed men cracking their hooves, he immediately raised his hands in surrender, "Sir, I'll tell you everything. We are under the pirate Blood Eye, and this Miss Christine is a bounty hunter chasing us."

Afraid of being beaten again, he spilled everything he knew like a waterfall.

According to him, as subordinates of the pirate leader Blood Eye, they had planned to go out to sea for a big score, but they didn't expect the bounty hunter Christine from Rhodes Island to have secretly disguised herself as a sailor and boarded their ship. After a fierce battle, the pirate ship lost control, deviated from its course, and crashed into the reefs of Demon Island, and then...

"So that's how it is. I should thank you for bringing the ship here." Lin Taiping smiled and nodded, looking at the pirate ship that had run aground in the distance. However, his attention soon turned to the still unconscious Christine.

Even in her unconscious state, the blonde beauty was still captivating. It was hard to imagine that such a beautiful and mature woman, who should be at a noble's banquet, would do such a dangerous job as a bounty hunter.

"I'm not quite sure," the one-eyed giant pulled at the corners of his mouth, feeling his teeth might fall out, "I only heard that she was originally from a noble family, but after her parents died, her family fell into decline. She had to work hard to earn money to support her thirteen younger sisters..."

Pfft! Before he could finish, Lin Taiping sprayed water, turning into a human fountain. Even Tulu and the others raised their hooves in admiration.

How many, how many, did we hear that right? Thirteen sisters, oh my, that couple must have been like a播种机 (seed sower), and the most amazing thing is, they were all girls.

"I'm impressed, they really can reproduce." Lin Taiping was in awe, looking at the still unconscious Christine. No wonder this beautiful and mature woman kept talking about bounties, and why she kept a record of every pirate she killed. It was all because of her circumstances.

How cruel! Thinking about it, the mature lady was so pitiful, and these bastards still wouldn't let her cut them down in line. They were heartless and cruel, and should all be sent to hell to push rocks!

That's a bit too much, the poor one-eyed giant couldn't help but grumble to himself, but with a group of bull-headed men watching him, he could only nod pitifully, "Yes, yes, yes, sir, you're right. If you don't mind, I'm willing to offer this pirate ship as compensation."

"Is that so? Then I'll reluctantly accept it." Lin Taiping stroked his chin happily, suddenly feeling much better, "It's really convenient. I just needed a ship, and one was delivered to me. Unfortunately, I still lack a captain and experienced sailors."

"I can!" The one-eyed giant immediately volunteered, and the other pirates, who had been pretending to be unconscious, also raised their hands eagerly, ready to serve for free.

"You?" Lin Taiping shrugged indifferently. He knew these guys' loyalty was negative, so instead of relying on them, he—

Thoughtfully stroking his chin, he slowly turned to look at the still unconscious Christine.

Hmm, this beautiful and mature woman was working hard to support her family and had done many jobs, including knowing a lot about navigation and trade... and most importantly, compared to a group of ugly men, a beautiful and mature woman was the way to go!

"Very well, it's settled then." He breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, turning to Tulu, "Tulu, please take everyone back to the tribe and find some herbs for Miss Christine. Be gentle and kind, okay?"

Gentle and kind? The dozens of bull-headed men looked at each other, then at the serious Lin Taiping and the beautiful Christine, and suddenly understood.

The next moment, Tulu nodded vigorously, thumping his chest, "Lin, you can rest assured. I swear on my beloved horns that I will take good care of Miss Christine... by the way, do you prefer a forceful approach or a romantic one?"
