Time returns to the present.

In front of Rindbloom was the state of a destroyed army, that fell into a stalemate.

There wasn’t anyone without injury, with more than 40% suffering sever injuries and most being unable to move.

It was miraculous that no one had died, but that was just from the fact that Rindbloom was keeping her promise to Lily, that she wouldn’t kill anyone.

In the first place, if they didn’t attack her or approach Lily’s hut, she wouldn’t have laid a hand on them.

The injuries that they sustained are, frankly speaking, their own faults.

In addition, the degree of the soldiers’ skill is relatively low.

The amateur’s skills only equate to being able to grow hair.

However, that was good enough.

The worst part was them not listening to the commander’s orders.

The girl that seemed to be the commander, quickly realized that Rindbloom would counterattack, but if they didn’t attack, then she also wouldn’t attack.

She told them that in a loud voice – those tense while in front of the mythical beast, those trying their best but not paying attention to their surroundings, those with low skills but with high ambitions for recognition, those struck with fear and become unable to do anything, those with rebellious spirit because their commander is a woman and intentionally ignore orders – there are various reasons, but, that information didn’t save the party.

Those that didn’t understand the meaning of the girl’s words got blown away consecutively, while those who watched were also wrapped up in the chaos, receiving light injuries.

Since there wasn’t anyone who didn’t hear the order, the girl’s voice echoed, reaching the entire force, and the stalemate stopped.

Since Rindbloom stopped receiving attacks, there was no point in counterattacking.

The troops wanted to move forward, but, since Rindbloom wouldn’t allow that, they couldn’t make any careless moves.

Breaking through that situation, was the laid-back voice from a third party.

「Ara ara. The injuries are heavier than I thought. Was it that the commander is more of an idiot, or was it that the subordinates weren’t listening to their orders, which was it?」

With no warning, the soldiers searched around for the source of the voice. However, no matter where they looked, there could see no shadow or figure.

However, only a single girl looked up at the sky.

Then, a close aide also looked up and realized, then this realization began to spread steadily through the force, until eventually everyone became aware of the voice’s owner in the sky.

The voice’s owner was an extremely beautiful figure of a witch.

Lily watched the battlefield from her flying carpet. No, it may be presumptuous to call it a battlefield. To the meddling soldiers, Rindbloom was just kicking them around in her free time. That was all that happened here.

Since challenging them one by one would be too much of a bother, Lily made use of the air to dumbfound the soldiers, jumping down from her carpet. Despite being over 10 meters from the ground, she easily landed.

Rindbloom presented her neck to Lily and she stroked it.

「Now then, are you the commander?」

The girl was completely taken by Lily’s eyes.

Ignoring her close aides, the girl stepped forward. She walked in front of Lily and Rindbloom, before kneeling down before the two.

It wasn’t just the close aides, even the rest of the troops were surprised.

「This is the first time we have met, witch-sama. I am Alexandrite Kingdom’s King Karsedoni’s daughter and second princess, Serafinite・D・Alexandrite.」

While not showing signs of hurting due to her position, she gives Lily a dignified greeting.

With no excess body fat, she has a slender body type. Her limbs are also slender, with no dry skin, it could be guessed that it was her first time on a battlefield.

Her facial features are well organized, with impressive azure ball-like eyes.

With her green-silver hair cut short, she gives off a boyish impression, but combined with her princess words, it created a sense of incongruity. However, that didn’t hurt her charm, rather making her seem even more cute.

To that girl, Lily asked a question.

「You… understand, right?」

「Okay… understood」

Satisfied with her answer, Lily snapped her fingers. In an instant, everyone except for Lily, Rindbloom, and Serafinite lost their consciousness.

「I’ve only put them to sleep. I’ve treated the severely wounded, so they won’t die, now, we can talk without reserve, right?」

「Thank you for your consideration.」

「Please raise your head. I don’t have the hobby of looking at peoples’ hair while talking to them.」

「…then, excuse me.」

Serafinite rose and lifted her head. She is more or less the same height as Lapis. Lily is slightly taller.

「So, why did the princess herself come all the way out to this dangerous forest, Serafinite-chan?」

「Please call me Sera or Serafi, Witch-sama. Serafinite is not a cute name.」

「Then, I shall call you Sera-chan, but, call me Lily. Being called Witch-sama makes me feel itchy.」

「I understand, I shall go with Lily-sama.」

「Honestly, I’d like for you to drop the 『sama』 as well.」

Lily muttered a “yare yare”, then returned to the original topic.

「I’m asking again, but, why is Sera-chan in this dangerous forest?」

「Ah! That’s right!」

Sera hit her hand in front of her chest, then, her face distorted with anger as she spoke.

「I’m searching for my older sister. Are you not hiding her? Lily-sama.」

Seeing the not calm Sera, Lily wondered how to respond.

(TL note: Sorry for the late post. Also, if anyone has a better idea for Sera’s name, セラフィナイト, let me know.)
