378 Open Mic

Shortly later, the band started playing. When it came to music and the entertainment industry, there were no boundaries, whether it was language or what country. One's talent can be seen through in their vocal and talents. The instrument, tones, and beats can draw the people in no. Talent and passion could be felt from the performer.

The band that was playing tonight were struggling artist, trying to make fame. They had to volunteer their time to entertain guests for little pay, if any. They played a mixture of existing songs and songs they created. For many struggling singers, in order to be known, they sold many of their songs to well-known singers to survive. If there should be an opportunity when they can even be a background singer or feature in a well-known artist, they would jump at the opportunity to showcase their talent and passion.

The band performing tonight was called Blazin. They had yet to make a breakthrough and needed to volunteer their time and often do free shows in order to promote their work. Life of artists isn't as glorious as what we see on camera and in the screen. For the Blazin band, it had been five long years of suffering in this road.

As its name speaks, the elites and stars often come to enjoy their time at Magnum Plaza. Magnum, was a place that attracts the wealthy, the stars, and the popular. Though some may come and stay low key, but it was known throughout the country that Magnum plaza and strip founded some well-known. Not only Magnum Plaza provided a space for entertainment, but the big well-known Magnum Entertainment headquarter was around the corner.

After several songs straights was a break session. The open mic was opened to anyone who signed up to sing. The band will continue to play, but the sole singer would be taking a break.

There are usually three to four breaks in between per night before the DJ took over after midnight.

Before the third break started, Yu Sha excused herself to the bathroom.

Yu Ping continued to enjoy the music, enjoying the beats of the drummer, the guitarist, pianist, and the bassist. They were pretty good, he had to admit. They each had unique skills, in sync and followed the lead flawlessly. There are many unrecognized artists.

The singer announced, he was going for a short break after the song ended. Even after he went on break, the mic was open to anyone willing to sing. The band members remained to play any song the audience singer may request.

Yu Ping munch here and there while waiting for Yu Sha's return.

As he was wondering where she could have been, a familiar voice spoke from the stage and grabbed his attention. Much or less, he expected she was going to sing, but she didn't budge during the previous breaks. He thought she wasn't interested, but there she was standing in an imposing manner on the stage.

"Hello, I would like to ask my handsome brother to the stage." Yu Sha gestured at his direction.

Yu Ping hopped over the divider rail and walked towards the stage. 'She intended to show me off to women? This is very much her style.'

Yu sha continued to speak while Yu Ping made his way to the stage. "Tonight, my handsome brother and I will perform for the beautiful ladies here tonight." She didn't forget to emphasize on the word handsome by dragging out the word longer and louder.

While the band main singer was on break, the instrument members were still on stage. They played any songs the audience singer wanted to sing. This was a way to engage the audience and popularized themselves among the audience.

Walking down to the stage, Yu Ping, looked extremely handsome. A young boy only twenty years of age, inheriting his parents' good looks, skills and aura, drew in the attention of many young ladies, the young, the old alike.

Normally, Yu Sha would always lead and he follow her lead. It wasn't that he could lead, but it was his way of spoiling her. After all, she was his only sister, an abnormal one at that.

He hopped onto the stage and asked for a guitar which the band gladly gave to him. After a few strung to feel for the guitar he was ready for show.

Yu Sha again emphasized on her brother's good quality while opportunity allowed. As he was adjusting the guitar, she spoke through the mic. "He's not only a handsome, but a genius, and easy going."

As she felt he was ready, she turned to the band and gave the song she wanted to sing, Love Transcend by Mimi. The men who played the instruments were a little shock as that song was a hard song to sing, was and still a hit and sung by the legendary Mimi Nen.

Since it was a well-known song, it was easier for the men to play and so they began.

The drummer started and followed by the others and before long, the singer started.

A strong, sweet melodic voice echoed through the speakers

The audience were quiet, even shoppers and restauranters stopped what they're doing to watch the open mic.

The high note chorus took off.

Many people have had lost loves, some had the one that got away. To hear this song sang so wonderfully, full of passion in person, playing live, and feeling the impact of every notes, their heart was tugged. Some people's eyes sour, some people's heart cried.
