At the time of imminent peril, a shadow enveloped Gu Meng.
In a second, the female ghost stopped and looked at the lofty figure in front of her. She tilted her head and after a while, she retreated quietly.
The lift doors closed slowly.
Gu Meng thought he was going to be cold1 but nothing happened after a short period of time.
He trembled as he opened an eye and clearly saw a face extremely close to him.
It was that handsome guy who was 1.9 metres.
He was startled for a while. He realised that the man blocked in front of him at a critical moment. After calming down for a while, he said, “Thank you.”
The man was in a kabedon position and trapped Gu Meng in the lift. He looked at him steadily, his eyes full of curiosity. He raised his finger to point at the corner of his eye and said “You are leaking water.”
Gu Meng touched his eyes in a hurry and just as expected, it was dripping wet. It turns out that he cried in fear in a moment of desperation just now.
He lowered his head and absent-mindedly wiped his face twice. I realised the man’s rhetoric was a bit strange soon after. Who would refer to tears as water?
He couldn’t help but have doubts in his mind.
“I am Gu Meng, what’s your name?”2
The man tilted his head and said in confusion, “I didn’t call.”
“……” Gu Meng met his sincere and genuine gaze. He restrained himself and said patiently, “I am called Gu Meng, what are you called?”
The man frowned and said, “Name?”
“……” He felt he was talking to a Martian, he was struggling indeed. Gu Meng skimmed over this and asked once again, “What did you do before you came here?”
The man shook his head.
Looking at his expression that was like a lamb that lost its way, Gu Meng was able to confirm his conjecture more and more and said in a soft tone, “Then what do you still remember?”
The man shook his head again.
Gu Meng immediately felt a stab of pity for him. He was tall and handsome but his brain was thoroughly broken. Not only his memory, but it also seems even his basic common sense had been lost and he became more or less like a three-year-old child.
Before he entered this game, Gu Meng was a kindergarten teacher and the innocent gaze of the man evoked the conscience of his profession.
Hesitating for half a moment, he patted the man’s shoulder and said, “If you have anything you don’t know here, you can ask me.”
This child, he would protect him from harm.
When Gu Meng went upstairs with this man, the haunting disturbance was already over. The hallway of the sixth floor was empty. He believed the other players had already found a roommate so they naturally stayed in the dorm room.
When he opened the door, Gu Meng noticed the strange setting of this game, a person was unable to open the door to the dorm room and can only open the door when one holds hands with another person.
He called to mind that Teacher Xiaoyu said not to be alone, it was probably an important hint to open the door.
A night in silence.
On the morning of the second day, the players left for the fourth floor of the school building based on the content of the text message,
Arriving at Class A of the third-year students, everyone found a place to sit and were basically looking for their roommate to be their deskmate.
Calligraphy and paintings were stuck to the walls in the classroom. Just looking at the environment, it was quite a lively class.
Not long after, a woman wearing a black and white uniform came in holding the lesson plan and pointer stick. She was smiling from ear to ear.
Teacher Xiaoyu stood on the podium with a standard smile revealing eight teeth. She looked straight at the back of the classroom and said, “A new semester has begun and I’m very happy to see everyone here. I hope everyone can also work hard for this semester.”
“Rustle rustle.”
Gu Meng was listening carefully and heard the sound of the pages of a book being flipped through in his ear.
He absent-mindedly turned to the side and took a glance.
His roommate was diligently looking through the People’s Education Chinese Textbook Fifth Edition!3
His speed of a page per second was the same as a scanner.
He originally wanted to remind him to listen carefully to the woman speaking since the NPC might want to issue a task. Soon after, he considered the problem with the man’s intelligence quotient (IQ) and he might not understand it so he dropped the idea.
“But before class officially begins, there is one matter I need everyone’s help with.” Teacher Xiaoyu’s line of sight swept across everyone present, “According to the investigation of the police, Chun Zi died from being pushed off the roof by a male teacher of this year but the male teacher has not been caught yet.”
Everyone fell silent. There was only the sound of ‘rustle rustle’ as the pages of a book were flipped in the classroom.
He Wei always had a strong desire to express himself so he raised his hand, “Teacher, so Chun Zi’s final wish is to find that male teacher?”
Teacher Xiaoyu looked towards him and smiled as she nodded her head, “Yes, catching the murderer is Chun Zi’s final wish.”
“Are there any clues? Where can we find the murderer?”
Teacher Xiaoyu smiled until her eyes squinted and looked amiable but what she said sent shivers down everyone’s spine, “In here.”
“The male teacher has worn a student’s uniform to sneak into Class A for third-year students and is sitting together with everyone here.”
