02’s Exam
The morning after meeting 02– or rather, Oz, again.
We headed to the Guild with Oz, in order to accompany her as she tried to acquire a Type-2 License.
“Well then, everyone, I’m off!”
“Please do your best!”
In order for Oz to take the Magical Ability Test, she went to the hall at the back of the Guild.
Mize must have been happy to have a fellow Adventurer as a comrade, so she used a loud voice to encourage Oz.
“I’m curious about the results. Since Tweight says that he can guarantee her abilities, I’m sure that she’s no ordinary person.”
“…Well, I wonder about that.”
In the face of Elysia’s strange expectations, I give a vague reply.
She will probably have her expectations met. During the recent strategy meeting, I told Oz to show off her true abilities.
After waiting for some time, we could hear a ruckus in the direction of the Magical Ability examination hall.
Oz emerged from the hall with a nonchalant look on her face, amidst the murmuring of the Guild employees.
Eventually, she received a piece of paper with the test results from a staff member and came over to show it to us.
“I got the results of my Magical Ability Test~. Here you go!”
After saying so, Oz showed us:

“…You’re kidding.”
“…For real?”
Elysia and Gran both had their eyes open wide in amazement.
The way her rankings are skewed, it would be fair to say that she’s better than Gran. Furthermore, getting 2 A ranks, which are on par with a commander or vice commander of a knight order…no wonder why the employees are excited.
“U-um. Excuse me, Oz-sama.”
The Guild’s receptionist approached Oz.
“Hm? What?”
“Um…excuse me for asking, but have you ever held a special position in the past?”
“A special position?”
“For example, were you a commander in a knight order, or perhaps a top ranker in another guild?”
“Uhm, no I haven’t.”
“I-is that so?”
The receptionist took a step back in dismay.
That’s how exceptional Oz’s abilities are.
But the person in question probably isn’t aware that she’s the centre of attention.
“Well then, I’ll go ahead and take the other test.”
With a carefree tone, Oz headed to the Basic Combat Ability testing centre.
“Um, Tweight-san. What kind of person is Oz-san?”
In response to Mize’s question, I pause for a moment before answering.
“A former colleague. But at work, she was known as a magical prodigy.”
“Isn’t there a limit to how much you can call her a prodigy…? With magical abilities on that level, it wouldn’t be strange if she became famous.”
“I don’t know much about Oz outside of work…well, it probably boils down to her age. Most likely, she wasn’t able to take part in the Great War because she was stopped by the people around her…and if we’re talking about prodigies, the same goes for you, Gran, who’s gotten an A rank at this age.”
I answer Gran’s question with lies.
As the three of them were wondering about Oz’s identity– BOOM! There was a loud noise, accompanied by the ground shaking.
“Wha-what was that sound!?”
“It’s shaking like hell!?”
Elysia and Gran were startled.
The sounds and vibrations continued to echo from the Basic Combat Ability testing centre.
While there was an uproar at the Guild, Oz returned from the centre.
“Ahaha, sorry. I might have overdone it a bit.”
Oz says while scratching the back of her head.
Since I had a rough idea about what had transpired, I let out a sigh.
Eventually, Oz’s test results were released.
Obviously, she passed.
