"Hmph, so you even enhanced your horse, huh?"
After chasing for over a minute, Rocky realized he still hadn't managed to close the distance with Dagornit, which made him quite angry. He casually picked up a palm-sized rock from the ground and threw it with all his might.
"Whoosh!"
The rock thrown by Rocky whistled through the air like a bullet, instantly passing by Dagornit's helmet and landing in front of him, creating a small crater with a loud "boom."
"Hmph, didn't hit? I forgot I could do this. Spending too much time with those dimwitted zombies has even lowered my intelligence as a demon king," Rocky realized. He had only considered that zombies couldn't accurately throw rocks, which led him to create a human "catapult." He hadn't thought that he could carry some rocks himself and use them as hidden weapons.
In the hands of this terrifying demon king, a palm-sized rock was as light as a marble, but when thrown, it had the destructive power of a grenade.
Thinking about this, Rocky even felt that if he trained a secondary zombie like Leanna, he might be able to form a long-range attack force with terrifying destructive power.
"What kind of monster... His arm strength is almost on par with Sir Lancelot!"
At that moment, feeling the brush with death, Dagornit found himself drenched in cold sweat, his armor feeling like ice on his body.
"Whoosh!"
Before Dagornit could savor the terrifying moment, another whistling sound cut through the air. His beloved horse let out a piercing scream and fell to the ground, throwing him off.
"Damn it!"
Dagornit, after being thrown, did several somersaults in the air and landed smoothly on the ground like a martial arts expert. However, when he looked at his beloved horse, he saw a large hole in its belly, with its internal organs scattered on the ground, clearly torn open by the terrifying rock.
"Tsk, your skills are pretty good, though," Rocky frowned. It seemed everything was as he had expected. The system that Reimu mentioned wouldn't let him easily deal with a Round Table Knight, even the weakest one, who would have the strength of a minor boss.
"You despicable black wizard, you've really angered me this time! Great Dagornit! I will make you pay for killing my beloved horse! I will crush you and turn you into horse feed!" Dagornit stood up, his face full of rage, as if he was truly angry.
"Didn't expect you to have some spirit, clown," Rocky said disdainfully. Meanwhile, at his command, Leanna and Michelle began to flank Dagornit from both sides.
"Damn it."
Dagornit frowned. At that moment, he deeply regretted discarding his sword and shield in the panic. These were powerful treasures bestowed by King Arthur. Whenever he struck the shield with his sword, the surrounding soldiers would become extremely excited, and their combat power would greatly increase. The sword and shield themselves were made of extraordinary materials, capable of slicing through metal, making them the most powerful treasures.
But now, unarmed, Dagornit felt increasingly regretful for discarding the weapons bestowed by King Arthur.
"Are you still a coward, then?"
At that moment, Rocky, standing not far away, looked at Dagornit, who dared not make a move, and showed a look of disdain. It seemed that this Arthurian quest, based on legend, followed the original content in many aspects and didn't deviate too much. Dagornit was indeed a coward.
Thinking about this, an evil smile appeared on Rocky's face. Since Dagornit wasn't going to make the first move, he, the demon king, wouldn't be polite!
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
In the next moment, Rocky flicked his wrists and immediately threw two small stones, aiming at Dagornit's head and chest.
Dagornit frowned and quickly dodged, easily evading Rocky's attack.
"How about this!"
Rocky flicked his wrist again, and like a shower of flowers, he threw over a dozen stones. These were all the stones he had picked up along the way. Since a few shots didn't work on the Round Table Knight, he decided to launch a saturation attack. Even if he couldn't kill the knight, he could force him to reveal a weakness.
"Damn it!"
Dagornit frowned. Although the black wizard's stones were thrown irregularly, the range was wide, leaving him no place to completely avoid them. If they were ordinary stones, it would be fine, but he had already seen the power of the black wizard's stones. A single hit would definitely injure him.
"Crack!"
However, Dagornit, as a Round Table Knight, wasn't entirely undeserving of his title. He tore off his shoulder plate and used it as a shield, crouching down and using the angle formed by the shield and the ground to deflect Rocky's stones backward.
"Damn, ricochet? System, are you playing with me!" Rocky couldn't help but curse. To do all this in such a short time required reaction speed, strength, mathematical knowledge, and combat skills far beyond those of an ordinary person. It was as if the system had given Dagornit a cheat code!
However, Rocky's classic Chinese curse sounded like an incomprehensible incantation to others, which only made Dagornit more wary—this black wizard was about to use some evil magic!
At that moment, Dagornit had gradually calmed down. Through observation, he was certain that the black wizard couldn't defeat him in one hit. If he found a weakness, he might be able to counter-kill the black wizard and turn his failure into a great achievement.
Thinking about this, Dagornit's eyes suddenly lost their confusion. Sometimes, in the face of death and the allure of fame, even the most cowardly person would become desperate.
"Roar!!!"
However, before Dagornit could make a move, Michelle, one of Rocky's subordinates, suddenly pounced on him, seemingly eager to earn Rocky's favor.
"You underestimate me!"
Dagornit, who had already made up his mind, stood up and threw his shoulder plate, severing Michelle's arm. When he tried to rush forward to tear apart the strange blonde beauty, a black figure intercepted her.
"I quite like my first subordinate, so please don't hurt her," Rocky said coldly, his tone quite unfriendly. Finding a beautiful zombie guard that met his requirements was very difficult, especially in Britain, where the ratio of beautiful women was shockingly low!
"Didn't expect you to have a sense of chivalry? How about a fair knight's duel?" Dagornit, slightly surprised, quickly extended an invitation to duel. He knew he would be at a disadvantage in a group fight, but in a one-on-one, he was confident he could kill the black wizard!
"Knight's duel?" Rocky gave a disdainful smile. "We don't even have horses. What kind of knight are we talking about? Or do you want to ride your dead horse to challenge me, clown knight?"
"You insolent dog!" Dagornit was clearly enraged and charged at Rocky with a raised fist.
"Ha, Mr. Clown, where's your chivalry? Don't you see I have an injured person here?" Rocky stood his ground, mocking Dagornit, seemingly not taking his attack seriously.
"You bastard...!" Dagornit abruptly stopped, realizing that he was a knight, even if not a very skilled one. In this era of chivalry, he, as a Round Table Knight, still adhered to the code of chivalry.
However, at that moment, Dagornit suddenly felt something strange. The ground beneath his feet began to tremble slightly, as if something ominous was approaching.
"Ha ha ha, Sir Knight, do you really enjoy one-on-one duels?" Rocky sneered. "Then how about a one-on-one with my undead army!"
As Rocky spoke, a black tide of people surged from the direction Dagornit had fled.
"This... This is impossible!" Seeing the at least hundred-strong force charging across the plain, Dagornit broke out in a cold sweat again. The black wizard seemed to have been stalling for time to wait for this army. Was his goal to capture him?
Thinking about this, Dagornit felt like he was falling into an ice pit again. He felt like a clown, being toyed with.
"You despicable scoundrel!"
Dagornit, enraged, cursed. He had never seen anyone as shameless as this.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, you're wrong," Rocky shook his head disdainfully. "This was all planned from the beginning, relying on my wisdom, knowledge, and strength. It's a fair and just victory, not despicable. Remember, this is the victory of a strategist. Didn't your King Arthur teach you this?"
However, at that moment, Dagornit, enraged to the extreme, seemed to have made a decision to fight to the death. He proudly said, "Hmph, do you think my title as a Round Table Knight is fake? Even if you send a thousand more, it won't matter! I am a knight of King Arthur! The strongest Round Table Knight! Come on! Let me fight to my heart's content!"
"Ha ha ha, is that so! Then let's see how it goes!" Rocky laughed. At that moment, his zombie horde had surrounded Dagornit tightly, and he was about to face a nightmare of endless battles.
"For King Arthur!"
Faced with the encirclement, Dagornit's expression seemed transcendent. He shouted and began to mobilize every cell in his body, swinging his iron fists and using all the combat skills he had learned in his life to fight the seemingly endless enemies.
One! Two! Three! Four! ...
As a Round Table Knight, Dagornit bravely faced hundreds of enemies for the first time, fighting to the death, no longer fleeing or bluffing, but truly fighting like a warrior!
Unconsciously, Dagornit had been fighting non-stop for over twenty minutes in this inhumane, unfair battle.
Standing in the center of the encirclement, Dagornit was covered in blood, looking like he had risen from a pool of blood. Around him lay the remains of over two hundred zombies he had torn apart with his bare hands.
However, at that moment, a deep, bone-deep wound appeared on his left leg, bleeding profusely, and his body was covered with numerous minor injuries.
