Chapter 4

In the Tibetan region, the sun rises relatively late. When Wang Yang went out for a run at seven, the sun had just come up. Sun Boss was a bit later, at 7:20. By the time they returned to the hospital, it wasn't even 8:30. Just as they arrived, Sun He and the others had just woken up, and they hadn't even brushed their teeth yet.

"Sun Boss, Wang Yang, why are you two together?"

Only two people had slightly elevated blood test results, but no one paid much attention at the time. They were given some medication and no one followed up.

Soon after, these two people also died of heart attacks, which finally drew the factory's attention. Through autopsies, it was discovered that their deaths were identical to the previous cases. The factory then investigated their living habits, diet, and other routines, and eventually found the cause.

These people had all been exposed to a special toxic material. This material was not highly toxic, so the regulations were lax. They would just wash their hands after handling it, but they all ended up with chronic poisoning and died unexpectedly. Fortunately, they were discovered early and treated, and no more deaths occurred due to heart attacks.

One of the two people discovered later was Wang Chun. Sun Boss had seen Wang Chun's test report before because they were close friends, and he was concerned about him. The memory of the many deaths made a deep impression, and he still remembered it after twenty years.

That's why he had such a reaction when he saw the similar test results. He felt pain and anger, and he also noticed the differences in his wife's behavior. This poison required daily exposure and ingestion to cause death, which would take about two to three months. The only person who could have given him the poison without his knowledge was his wife, Xia Ping.

Initially, someone had warned him about the unusual relationship between Wang Chun and Xia Ping, but Wang Chun denied it. Sun Boss genuinely liked Xia Ping and didn't care about her past, as long as she was willing to be with him. Now, it seemed that the two had been colluding for a long time.

Xia Ping initially wanted to come along, but Sun Boss refused, citing the limited seats in the car. He said he and Qin Fang would take Wang Yang's classmate to the city hospital and pick them up in the afternoon. The reason was reasonable and left no room for suspicion.

Wang Yang also understood why Sun Boss didn't seek medical help despite knowing he was poisoned. He had seen such poisoning before and knew how to handle it. He could deal with it himself without needing a doctor.

"Sun Boss, by doing this, you're giving them a chance to be alone together. They know we're going to the city hospital and won't be back for a long time. Are you worried that...?"

Wang Yang whispered, leaving the rest unsaid, but the meaning was clear. If the two were already involved in an affair or colluding, they would have the opportunity to be caught in the act. Sun Boss was a decisive person.

Qin Boss smiled and suddenly said, "Qin Fang is here. Let's go!"

Sun Boss's phone rang, and he stood up after a quick glance. He needed to prepare some things, which would be useful soon.

After buying the necessary items, the three quickly returned to the guesthouse. They had rented a car to come to the guesthouse because Sun Boss's car was too conspicuous and needed to be hidden.

Sun Boss quickly bribed a server to confirm that Wang Chun and Xia Ping hadn't left. He specifically asked the server to knock on his door to check if Xia Ping was in the room. The server confirmed that Xia Ping was not there, and Sun Boss's expression turned even darker.

Sun Boss and Qin Fang knew Wang Chun's room number. They quietly approached the room, listened for a moment, and then Sun Boss suddenly took out a room card and opened the door.

Since Sun Boss had booked the rooms and bribed the server, getting a room card was not a problem.

The door opened instantly, and a scream came from inside. Wang Yang glanced in and quickly turned away, his face slightly red. On the bed, a man and a woman were naked and embracing. Qin Fang had already started filming with a camera.

This was Sun Boss's arrangement. The camera was newly bought for evidence. They had only brought a digital camera on this trip, and it was with Wang Chun, who had the best filming skills, almost professional.

"Zhi, Zhiping!"

The two on the bed were in a panic. Xia Ping called out, and both of them grabbed the blanket to cover themselves. Sun Boss's face had turned completely pale.

Wang Chun started slapping himself, repenting. Sun Zhiping just looked at him coldly. Wang Yang also came back into the room, the lights were on, and he could clearly see the two on the bed, now huddled under the blanket.

From their appearances, these two were not good people. Wang Chun had triangular eyes, a sign of deceit. Such people often say one thing and mean another. Xia Ping was somewhat attractive, with willow-leaf eyebrows and a melon-seed face, but her heavy brows and raised willow-leaf eyebrows indicated a promiscuous nature. Such a woman could not be satisfied by just one or two men.

Indeed, Wang Yang noticed that Xia Ping's face showed a very red peony mark, indicating that she was involved with at least three men, possibly more. Sun Boss was wearing a very heavy green hat.

Sun Boss didn't know what Wang Yang was thinking. After Wang Chun finished slapping himself, Sun Boss said coldly, "Were you thinking that after I forgave you, you would wait for this woman to poison me, and then you two would take all my property?"

Wang Chun looked up sharply, and Xia Ping was terrified. Wang Yang was surprised to notice that the fish-tail lines on both of their faces were turning black, and their eyes had red veins. Their forehead and chin were also darkening, typical signs of impending imprisonment. If their faces were changing, it meant they would soon be in jail.

Considering their crimes and Sun Boss's reaction, the possibility of them being sent to prison was high.

This gave Wang Yang a new insight: a person's face is not fixed and can change with events. This made him understand the concept of the unpredictability of fate. Throughout history, many people have tried to control their destiny, but no one has succeeded.
