Su Wen really thought he had heard wrong.

He had only come to thank Yang Feixue, so why did he have to become her boyfriend?

"Miss Yang, are you mistaken?" Su Wen looked at Yang Feixue, hoping to see from her eyes whether this was a joke.

"No mistake. Didn't you want to repay me? I've had some flies buzzing around me lately, and I need a shield. Although your appearance, clothing, and talents are average, and you're not rich, none of that matters. I just need others to know that I already have a boyfriend," Yang Feixue said bluntly.

Su Wen smiled bitterly. "Miss Yang, am I really that useless?"

Yang Feixue smiled. "Sorry, I was a bit too straightforward. A fly is about to come, so be prepared and don't be nervous."

"Alright, Miss Yang!" Su Wen had no choice but to tough it out.

"You're wrong from the start. From now on, you should call me Feixue," Yang Feixue frowned. "I saw your ID last time, right? I'll call you Brother Wen, even though you're a year younger than me, it's a favor to you."

"I don't want this favor at all," Su Wen thought to himself.

In the distance.

A man drove up in a flashy sports car, holding a bouquet of roses.

The man was short and slightly fat.

He wore a limited-edition diamond-encrusted Diwoss watch and a gold chain around his neck, making him look a bit yellow, possibly due to staying up late every night.

"He's Ji Ming, the son of one of my father's friends. He spent a few years abroad, learning some half-baked skills in artifact appraisal. Now he's back, dealing in antiques and making some money. He's been pestering me lately, which has been ruining my mood. But because of my father, I can't say anything. So today, it's up to you. Find a way to get him away from me; I never want to see him again," Yang Feixue told Su Wen.

"Understood, I'll do my best," Su Wen replied.

"Feixue, I'm here," Ji Ming saw Yang Feixue.

He was about to hand her the roses.

Su Wen quickly stepped in front. "Hello, I'm Su Wen, the 'Su' of revival and the 'Wen' of culture."

"Who are you?" Ji Ming scratched his head, confused.

"Feixue's boyfriend. Feixue just mentioned you to me," Su Wen quickly adapted to his role.

Yang Feixue nodded inwardly, surprised by Su Wen's composure.

"Feixue, you have a boyfriend?" Ji Ming's face darkened, and he pulled back the roses.

"Ji Ming, I've told you before, but you didn't believe me," Yang Feixue sighed. "Let me introduce you formally. My boyfriend, Su Wen."

"Nice to meet you," Su Wen looked at Ji Ming.

"Hmph!" Ji Ming snorted.

"Sit down!" Yang Feixue pulled Su Wen, and they sat together.

Ji Ming was clearly furious. He looked at Su Wen and said coldly, "What does Mr. Su do for a living?"

"Me?" Su Wen was a bit embarrassed. He thought for a moment and laughed. "I'm currently unemployed, but Feixue supports me. Otherwise, I wouldn't even have a place to live. I'm really grateful to Feixue."

"You... you're a kept man?" Ji Ming exclaimed.

"What kept man? Feixue and I are truly in love; it's just that my career is a bit down lately," Su Wen shook his head, looking innocent.

"Feixue, can you even stand this?" Ji Ming looked at Yang Feixue.

"Brother Wen is just going through some tough times. Besides, I'm rich and willing to support him. We truly love each other, and I don't care about these things," Yang Feixue went along with Su Wen's story, but her hand had already pinched Su Wen's waist purple.

"Sorry to have embarrassed you, Brother Ming. What kind of business are you in?" Su Wen deftly shifted the topic to Ji Ming.

"Talking about me will scare you," Ji Ming became smug, thinking about how to show off his superiority. "I studied abroad for three years and learned the skills of artifact appraisal. After returning, I met many big shots in the industry and now run an antique shop, making millions a month."

"So you're an archaeologist," Su Wen praised.

"Something like that," Ji Ming became even more smug.

"Ah, I wonder what's wrong with the current field of artifact research. Studying your own country's antiques, but you have to go abroad to learn. Many come back with just a facade. Brother Wen, don't take it personally; I'm not talking about you. I'm mainly referring to the second generation, the worst of them, who go abroad to gild themselves but learn nothing," Su Wen sighed, but his tone was off.

Yang Feixue smiled inwardly.

Wasn't he talking about Ji Ming? And the second generation? It was clear that Ji Ming was one of them.

"You... forget it, I don't want to argue with someone who doesn't understand," Ji Ming felt it was beneath him to argue with Su Wen. He had more important things to do. "Feixue, this is a little trinket I found recently. I'm giving it to you."

Ji Ming took out a beautiful box from his pocket.

Inside was a shiny bracelet, which looked like it was made of coral or jade.

Ji Ming started explaining, "Feixue, this bracelet is made of red coral, with fine, diagonal patterns. It's lustrous and smooth, made from top-quality red coral. Wearing it can promote blood circulation and calm the mind. I'm giving it to you."

Yang Feixue was taken aback and looked at Su Wen.

Su Wen smiled and said, "Brother Ming, I've learned some appraisal skills. May I take a look at the bracelet?"

Ji Ming sneered. "You? Do you think you can tell if it's fake?"

Su Wen didn't respond, picked up the bracelet, examined it, and then put it down. "Brother Ming, how much did you pay for this bracelet?"

"Not much, 30,000 yuan," Ji Ming said proudly.

"Only 30,000, not a bad deal," Su Wen seemed to be talking to himself.

"What did you say?" Ji Ming stood up abruptly. "Red coral is now sold by the gram. This whole bracelet, even if broken into pieces and sold as powder, wouldn't be a loss. Do you know what you're talking about?"

Su Wen remained calm and looked at Ji Ming with interest. "Brother Ming, don't get angry. Let me explain. First, the color of your red coral bracelet is too bright. Second, the weight. A genuine red coral bracelet would weigh at least 50 grams more than this one. Third, the smell. A genuine red coral bracelet either has a camphor smell or no smell at all, but this one has a faint, unpleasant odor. From these points, I can tell it's a fake. So, Brother Ming, you didn't lose much, just 30,000 yuan."

"You're lying!" Ji Ming's face turned green.

Su Wen ignored Ji Ming, put the bracelet in his water cup, and shook it a few times. The water turned slightly red.

"Based on my appraisal, this bracelet is made from rotten branches from the sea, dyed and polished. You can buy them at the entrance of Fuzi Temple for 10 yuan each, and you get a discount if you buy more. Brother Ming, you can check it out when you have time," Su Wen said with a half-smile.

Ji Ming's face turned pale.

Everything was clear, and he was humiliated.

He took the bracelet and stormed out, not looking back.

"Ha! I can't stop laughing. You can buy them at the entrance of Fuzi Temple for 10 yuan each," Yang Feixue couldn't hold back her laughter. "This guy will never have the face to see me again. I didn't expect you to have such skills."

"Just a lucky guess, not worth much," Su Wen laughed. "Was I a good boyfriend for you?"

"Not bad, didn't disappoint me," Yang Feixue was in a good mood. "Let's go somewhere else. I'll treat you to a meal; I haven't been this happy in a long time."

"Sure, but I'll treat you," Su Wen wouldn't forget his purpose.

At a not-so-high-end restaurant, Su Wen treated Yang Feixue to a delicious meal.

"Today was fun. If there are more flies in the future, I'll find you," Yang Feixue smiled as she said goodbye to Su Wen.

Su Wen smiled silently.

He wasn't a fool. Helping Yang Feixue this time was to repay her kindness.

If Yang Feixue wanted him to be her fake boyfriend again, it was out of the question. He was just a commoner and couldn't afford to offend so many people.

Watching Yang Feixue leave, Su Wen took a deep breath. "It's time for me to leave this city."
