The car drove up to the half-orc Soru and then stopped. Under everyone's watchful eyes, the trunk slowly opened. At this moment, both the guards of Nibo Town and the monster invaders from Lamashitu fell silent, exchanging glances. "Maybe, it’s preparing to eat him from behind?"
The car door opened, and Zhao Mai, holding a saber-toothed beast gun, got out and crouched down next to the half-orc Soru. The half-orc lay on his back, blood streaming from his nose and mouth, forming small fountains with each cough. Soru grunted, his whole body convulsing as if electrocuted, and a look of pain appeared on his face. A cold chill spread through him, making him want to sleep. But he had a strong feeling that if he fell asleep, he would be trapped in endless nightmares.
Zhao Mai saw Soru's suffering but remained detached. He squatted down, removed the spare tire from the half-orc's arm, and carried it into the car's trunk. Neither side of the battlefield had yet to react, allowing Zhao Mai to act freely. However, he was well aware that this situation wouldn't last long. His goal was to retrieve his belongings, and this time was enough.
Ranger Karl couldn't undo his seatbelt and was still "trapped" in the seat. When Zhao Mai was about to get back into the car, Karl gave him a pleading look. Zhao Mai took a deep breath, nodded reluctantly, and then stood next to Soru, looking down at him.
"Soru, your internal injuries are severe, and you're about to die. Do you have any last words? Any regrets? Anything you wanted to do but didn't? Speak now." Zhao Mai glanced at the Lamashitu camp, sensing some unusual movement and a hint of danger. He immediately bent down slightly, hiding his body behind the car's outline. "Mike, I never thought you'd still be alive." Soru forced his eyes open, spitting blood as he spoke: "The only thing I regret is not killing you after knocking you out!"
"Is that all?" Zhao Mai nodded. "Alright, I'll pass that on to Mr. Karl when I see him."
"You won't see him again, hah, I won't fall for the same mistake twice." Soru's face showed a smug smile. "I personally speared him in the gut, twisting it to make him suffer endlessly before he died! You won't see him, hah."
Ranger Karl's face turned pale, a mix of despair, failure, and self-reproach forming a tear at the corner of his eye. He closed his eyes but couldn't close his ears, so Soru's voice still reached him.
"Mike, you defeated me like this, and I can't accept it! Last time you cheated with that magical shield, but how did you win this time?" His eyelids flickered rapidly, his mind racing. "I'm about to die, tell me the reason so I can die in peace. I'll tell you how to use the Bloodlight Sawtooth Sword!"
Following Soru's gaze, Zhao Mai saw the red serrated longsword lying not far from the car's front. It was clearly a magical weapon, and if sold, it would fetch at least four thousand gold coins, a significant sum. However, the blood-red color of the sword gave Zhao Mai a sense of danger, and his natural elemental power subtly repelled the serrated sword.
"What does it matter to me if you die in peace." Zhao Mai shook his head, deciding to let Soru die slowly.

The poorly maintained, rusted full-body armor, when faced with the finely crafted steel gun by dwarven craftsmen, had only one outcome. The half-orc's fingers and iron gauntlets shattered, turning into a mass of mangled flesh.
"Alang, get out of the way." Zhao Mai stepped on Soru's chest, turning the "Mammoth M1 Saber-toothed Beast" half a circle and aiming the barrel at Soru's head. Reserve Food yelped and scurried back into the car.
Zhao Mai pulled the trigger, blowing Soru's head apart.
The bear goblins from Lamashitu began charging again, and the troll, having healed its wounds, followed with a flail. A few arrows, at the limit of their range, hit the car and bounced off. Zhao Mai put away the gun, got into the car, and closed the door.
"I killed him," Zhao Mai said to Ranger Karl. "He brought it upon himself."
"Yes, he brought it upon himself." Karl repeated, then added, "You did the right thing."
Zhao Mai sighed and looked out the window. "Karl, the gates of Nibo Town are closed, and I can't drive in. It looks like we can't end this siege quickly, so I can't take you in."
"That's fine. Just help me undo this belt and drop me off somewhere. I can make my way back on my own."
"That won't do, it wouldn't be fitting for a Chinese excellent old driver like me." Zhao Mai smiled, firmly buckling the seatbelt. "Look at those monsters, they're already attacking me. How can I not fight back? Let's make a big mess!"
Reserve Food, always eager for chaos, howled like a wolf, causing the gem in its stomach to shift, making it feel nauseous again.
The car's rear wheels spun rapidly, kicking up dirt and gravel. The car turned, running over the blood-red serrated sword, and then charged straight at the charging bear goblins. A couple of bear goblins weren't Zhao Mai's target. They ran around aimlessly, and Zhao Mai, not being a stunt driver, couldn't hit many. His target was clear: the immobile wooden catapults, which were the key to deciding the battle.
