Chapter 10 : Cult Fanatic, Gaza

Gaza made a beeline toward us as she wielded her double-headed scythe.

We couldn’t escape from this battle.

Because she would go for Mani, the weakest amongst us once we tried to escape.

Even if for example we could shake her off, we would be in an even more difficult situation once we encounter a demon beast, on top of that, we never made that kind of arrangement for this kind of situation.

「AAH… with this, I’ll have another three life sacrifices for Ouroboros-sama. Please do forgive the depth of my faith, unlucky fellows.」

Gaza swung her dual headed scythe, drawing a circular, shining orbit.

The real slash was coming at us along with her swing.

The shining, ring shaped slash was slipping in between Edda and I, creating a rumbling noise upon crashing against the labyrinth’s wall.

When I turned around to see the wall behind us, I saw a faint, ring shaped mark carved on the dungeon wall.

I mean what the hell is with that power, speed, and reach of that attack wave just now, it was foul play.

《Slash Wave》 was a battle art that fired an infused fighting spirit in the blade of the enchanted vessel.

It was hard to maintain the fighting spirit that was fired in the air, for this reason there was only a small number of adventurers who learned 《Slash Wave》.

Though I never saw 《Slash Wave》being used before, it was quite powerful despite traveling in the air.

On top of being hard to dodge repeatedly, I realized that I would have a hard time recovering if I received one of those slash.

Mani was looking on the ground with a vexed look on her face, and then turned around toward the passage where we came from.

In fact, Mani wanted to fight alongside us.

But, Mani was nothing but a hindrance in this kind of situation.

The range of her attack was too vast, and fast on top of that.

Edda might be able to dodge with her 《Transcendence Blnk》 but, it was impossible for me due to my level and 《Demon Eater Sword; Beelzera》’s status buff.

Edda ran toward my direction.

Once, in the battle against Fedor, I kicked her to save her from Fedor’s ambush.

But, doing the same in this situation would endanger her own life.

「D-Don’t worry about me, I will do something about this!」

Though Edda was squinting her eyes in worry, she was sprinting forward with extremely low running form until her face almost touched the ground, making a beeline toward Gaza while dodging 《Slash Wave》.

A magic circle deployed when I swung 《Demon Eater Sword; Beelzera》.

Thereupon, Beelzebub appeared as if she was passing through the magic circle.
