10 【Magic】and《Sorcery》

There’s no helping what I’ve done, so I decided not to worry about it too much.

With that said, what I should be focused on at the moment was the embryo and the right arm.

Hmm. For now, let’s just eat the right arm. All this needless hesitation wasn’t going to change anything.

I took Mr.Shiny’s right arm out from the stasis cube. Ew, looks like meat on a bone. It’s kinda all sticky too.

“… Down the hatch.”

… It sure tastes terrible. How should I put this, it’s like a blend of tainted meat and bile.

“Nomnom, gulp…!!!???!??”

Knowledge comes flooding into my head and a portion of Mr. Shiny’s memories was twisted into me.

Normally, you’d be kneeling over with a throbbing headache but… I had my dependable ally, “Mone-Style Parallel Thinking Arts #48.” Even though it’s this useful, for some reason, I had no one to introduce it to.

By the way, if you want an introduction, you’ll have to at least reach S9 through solo queues in Granduel’s tag duels.

Ohh, apparently I learned some skills and sorcery from that. What exactly was the〈Unable To Acquire Magic〉skill then?

〈Language Of The Elder Things〉

It’s possible for you to communicate with the elder things.

《Wither Limb》

There is a set chance of going insane when using this spell.

The success rate of this sorcery depends on the difference between your target’s MP and your own MP.

Once you chant the spell, one of your target’s limbs will shrivel up.

In addition, it also does damage to your target and reduces their CON.

《Deflect Harm》

There is a set chance of going insane when using this spell.

By extending your hand towards the attack, you can deflect attacks one after another, spending your MP in exchange for the damage you would’ve taken.

《Attract Fish》

Place food in the water and chant the spell. Fish will come gathering after a short while.

《Nyhargo Dirge》

The success rate of this sorcery depends on the difference between your target’s MP and your own MP.

After chanting, returns those revived through《Ressurect》back to dust.

I see, so sorcery was different from magic, wasn’t it.

Rather, will I actually get a chance to meet with the elder things?

Though, it’s pretty mellow this time around. Nothing really surprises me if it’s only at this level, but then again, it would be scary in itself if I was used to it.

Next up was the Colour Out Of Space Embryo, of course. To tell you the truth, I’ve already thought this through.

First, I make a hole on the back of my hand, then I cram the embryo inside of it. Make sure that it displays the remaining time left until it’s born, and we’re done.

Seems like it worked out quite well and my judgment of the inside of your body being a “place rich in nutrients” was correct.

Now that I’ve taken care of those problems, I should try visiting one of the zones.

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

I went to the “Corrupted Sanctuary Ruins.”

From the name alone, this zone already sounds like bad news. Whoops, almost brought back the me who was repeating myself again. Don’t make me have to cast《Nyhargo Dirge》.

Oh? Has my commemorative first opponent in battle finally come?

Both the little shoggoth and the Eternally Unfaithful One were too one-sided so it doesn’t count.

What appeared was… what exactly was it, I wonder. It was a creature that made you question if you’ve perhaps seen it before.

It’s entire body looked like a mass of rubble with cables sprouting out of it. Overall, it seemed similar to a pill-bug that was around 1m in size.

… Well, I’ll probably find out more about it if I defeat it.

I canceled the humanization on my right arm and bloated it up before smacking the pill-bug with it.

Crunch squish pop crash.

“…O-Oh”

The pill-bug was completely erased. Even if this was one of the first zones, this was a bit too much, wasn’t it…

Ahh, nevermind. I guess with how the shoggoth race was, you were probably able to get away with just winging it in the beginning.

Anyways, what were the drops like?

・Broken Fragment Of A Scrap Pill’s Shell

The fragmented piece of a Scrap Pill’s shell.

It was smashed up through awfully strong strength and has no value as a material.

・Damaged Digital Panel

“3662.6.8.11:13” is displayed on it.

A remnant of the end, indicating the time of end.

Something happened on that date, and most of the ones who know are already gone. However, you can speculate what has occurred using the remainders of the past.

… It’s becoming a lot more plausible that this is taking place on Earth. This absolutely has to be year, month, day and time, right?

I try not to pay too much heed over the broken scrap pill shell.

Next time, I’ll crush it up gently.

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

After farming for a while, I received some mail from management.

Apparently, the first event would be held in 10 days.

The details were still unclear, but the condition to participate was odd. “On the target day, fall asleep in game”…?

“It can’t be. No way, but… I mean, that’s the only answer, I guess.”

… For now, let’s just do all I can in the 10 days leading up to the event.
