After logging in, I was taken to the character creation room. Most likely, it was going to be compensation for the maintenance.
A swarthy skinned man in poor health appeared in front of me.
“…”
The man silently tosses a white cube over to me and leaves… Hey!? Wait right there! Isn’t there supposed to be something more to this!?
“Excuse me!”
“…?”
When I called out to him, he looked around in confusion before pointing to himself, and tilting his head.
I mean, there’s obviously no one here besides you and me, right?
“I am the purveyor of Needful Things, Leland Gaunt. There’s no need to exchange pleasantries.”
“… You’re kidding.”
While I stood stunned at the revelation of his name, Gaunt-san vanishes from sight.
Wasn’t Leland Grant one of Nyarlathotep’s incarnations?
… I pulled myself together and decided to take a look at the mysterious cube along with the mail sent from management.
Then first off, I’ll just check the message box… hm? A light began to shine under me. Didn’t I also happen to see this when my character creation was completed?
Light overwhelms my vision.
As the light retreats, a fountain appears in front of my eyes. This was likely the central plaza of Solon, the town displayed in the introductory video, wasn’t it.
For the time being, I took a seat on the edge of the fountain and surveyed my surroundings.
Ooh, it’s a lot prettier than I expected. I was afraid of what to do if it ended up being a medieval town covered in filth and grime, but it would seem that my fears were unnecessary.
… I guess the garbage waste disposal start was the only anomaly.
Well then, let’s get back on track this time and check on the mail that was sent…
“Hey there girl, you alone?”
… What’s with these frivolous-looking individuals and their bad sense of timing. I’ll strangle you, you know?
“… Yes, but what of it?”
“Wanna form a party with us?”
“We’re pretty strong, so we can teach you all sorts of things”
“Right, right. A cute lookin’ girl like you definitely deserves a warm welcome!”
So I’m getting hit on, huh. Though, it’s rare to see such obviously sleazy guys. Shouldn’t they be considered an endangered species at this point?
“No thanks, I’ll pass on that offer. Later then.”
“Hold on. It looks like you’re wearing beginner’s equipment, so you’ve only just started out, right?”
The wolf-kin who first made advances towards me, grabbed my right arm.
… Fuu, I didn’t think I’d have use my “Mone-Style Parallel Thinking Arts #48, extra edition, Creep Repelling Room” this soon.
“… Don’t blame me for this, okay?”
“Eh?”
I canceled the humanization on my right arm, and engulfed the entirety of the male wolf-kin’s arm.
“”Wha!?””
“…!? Hey, what’re you doing? Fuck, let go!”
They seemed surprised and were yelling for some reason, but I continued to consume his arm without regards to their feelings.
“U-Uwaa! H-Help me!”
“The fuck are you doing to Deichin!?”
“Careful, Kewpie! She’s one of those kinds of monsters that can disguise as human!”
Kewpie… His appearance is a half-crocodile person, so he looks extremely out of place. Kewpie-san as well as the half-goat man beside him both draw their swords and charge towards me.
Mmh, I should test this out too while I’m at it.
I took on the slashes.
“Hah! You can’t even avoid this, can you!”
“I’ll have you release Deichin right now!”
… Well, it’s not like you could possibly know about the characteristics of 100 different species beforehand.
The 2 make contact with their swords and I began to assimilate all 3 of them.
“What!?”
“Our attacks aren’t working!?”
“Physical attacks don’t work on my race, just letting you know.”
I dispelled the humanization on my entire body and completely devoured the 3 of them.
Now then, let’s go ahead and do some of my summer homework while I keep the repelling arts active. I’ll make sure to go over each problem thoroughly too.

=side Deichin=
The next time I knew, Kewpie, Enura, and I were all enclosed in an unfamiliar small room. Each wall was around 2m and the floor was the same. The ceiling shimmered in prismatic colors.
“Damn it, what’s with that bitch!”
“Wait, where are we in the first place?”
While Kewpie spouted insults, Enura asked a very concerning question.
“How should I know? Whatever this is, we’ve gotta get out of here quick so we can settle the score with that woman… Hang on, I hear something.”
What was that? What was this bell-like sound?
“You’re right, I hear it too.”
“Huh? I don’t hear anything like tha…!?”
In that moment, my hair stood up on end.
The walls, ceiling, and floor opened their eyes.
“Wha…!?”
“Ah, ahhh…”
“What the hell is this…!?”
On top of that, following the eyes, a large number of mouths revealed themselves as well and they all began to cry out.
“Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!”
“”No, stay away!””
“””It hurts, help, it hurts“””
“Tekeli-li Tekeli-li!”
“””Please help, help, hel…”””
“””Stop, it, make it, stop“””
“Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!”
“””Eek-!?”””
The malediction I could hear encompassing me gradually ate away at my consciousness.
Amidst the ominous chants ridiculing me, a message screen appears at the edge of my hazy vision.
『Status Effect: Indefinite Insanity, has been afflicted.』

After dealing with the 3 stooges and spitting them back out, it turned into quite a pleasant spectacle.
Deichin-san was stabbing his own stomach with his sword, and Enura-san was swinging his sword at an unconscious Kewpie-san.
… Though, this indefinite insanity was a lot more brutal than I’d expected. I’m a bit taken aback by it.
Regardless, I’m glad it all worked out in the end.
Several bystanders began to gather and while they were focused on the other 3, I snuck away from the crowd.
