"......Well, well"
After reading the letter from Casablanca to Mimosa, my father and I could only be grateful that my mother had taken her out immediately today.
We never expected that she would do something like this to Mimosa so soon.
This marriage was originally planned to be between Mimosa and me from the beginning.
It was supposed to be Casablanca's role. Being well-connected in society is a necessary ability for our family, as the head of the royal guard, since we can't attend social gatherings.
However, during the background check, a shocking fact was discovered. If that was the only issue, we could have simply chosen a bride from another family.
There was another reason for choosing Mimosa, but that's something we can discuss later.
The crude and poorly written insults and the condescending tone. Their assumption that we 'know nothing' is shallow.
Of course, this plan was orchestrated by Viscount Norton and the Chaltry family. The viscountess was unaware, but they intentionally made the engagement portrait look like a childhood drawing to ensure Mimosa came to our house. An engagement portrait can be painted in a day.
The first goal was to bring Mimosa into the Chaltry family.
The second goal was to temporarily exclude Casablanca from society. During this time, we would ensure that Mimosa's reputation was high, which my mother, who likes her the most, would take care of.
"From now on, all letters from Casablanca to Mimosa will be sent to me. Mimosa is not to hear any of it."
The head butler bowed to my father.
For Viscount Norton and Mimosa, the viscountess and her sister are nothing but poison.
Even so, Viscount Norton thought that if she were his real daughter... No, let's leave that for now.
I can't help but smile when I recall the first time I saw her.
"Men who laugh to themselves are disliked, you know."
"No, I was just thinking that she is a lovely person."
"I agree. Her good nature is evident; she can handle attacks from others and overcome unpleasant things internally. ...There's a bit of resignation, but she is strong."
"Her appearance and manners can be improved by my mother. As for her inherent good nature... that is something she will develop herself."
"My wife has a keen eye. I heard from Viscount Norton that she is shy, but she is more sociable than I expected."
"Hehe, I wonder if that tense side of her will ever disappear. She is so fresh and adorable."
My slightly mischievous affection makes my father raise an eyebrow.
"......Don't be too hard on her, okay?"
"I am infatuated with her, so I won't bully her. I will only dote on her."
Father sighs in resignation and says something a bit confusing.
"......You'll end up being dominated by her eventually."
Is that so? But if it's that light, maybe being dominated isn't so bad.
I excused myself from my father to store the letter as evidence in my room.
