"Light colors really suit you, don't they? I always wanted to come shopping like this with my daughter someday."

"………………Yes."

It was my second day since marrying into the earl's family, and the reason for my lack of energy was that I had been dragged around by the lady of the house.

When she said, "Right, let's go to the spa first!" in the carriage, I had a bad feeling about it.

Having never been to a spa before, I was stripped naked and put in a bath, then given an oil massage (which felt good), and finally, I was put in another bath with scented oil and dressed in a dress. The lady emerged looking radiant, but by this point, I was feeling both relaxed and exhausted.

After that, I was taken to a beauty salon where I had to part with most of my long hair, which I had let grow for years, and was given a fringe at the lady's suggestion, "A fringe would look cute on you!" I was then given a simple hairstyle, and in the boutique, I tried on about five dresses (I wasn't made to change into them) and was told they all suited me, so we decided to buy at least ten.

Even though ready-made dresses all looked the same to me, I was then stripped of my dress again for a fitting.

During this time, the lady and the boutique designer enthusiastically drew several design sketches for my custom dresses... and then, we were back to the beginning.

Exhausted, I returned to the boutique in the yellow dress I had come in, and the lady, full of enthusiasm, said, "Now for the makeup!" I had always used hand-me-downs from my mother and sister, so this was the first time I had my own set of cosmetics.

While it's generally the maid's job to apply makeup, it seems that the products should be chosen to match the individual's skin. I was amazed at how well my mother and sister, who had such different coloring from me, had managed to make me look presentable with their cosmetics.

Avoiding bold colors, it seemed that a slightly purplish tone suited me. For my eyes, instead of bright red, light pink, glitter, yellow, and cream-like gold were used, and for my lips, a shade that looked brown gave me a healthy complexion. I was also told that a light pink for a glossy finish would be good, and the lady completed my set of cosmetics.

The shop assistant applied makeup to my face as a sample to match today's dress, and for the first time, I thought, "Can makeup really make such a difference?"

It was a strange feeling, as if the person in the mirror wasn't me. My eyes looked bigger, and my complexion was better. Combined with the hairstyle, the person there looked like a cute, squirrel-like human. But it was me.

"You look absolutely lovely, Mimosa! Hmm, I thought you had potential, but you're really cute..."

"What a lovely young lady. With her fair skin and well-defined features, she can adapt to any situation."

"Yes, I think so too. We went for the cute look, but we should aim for a more elegant look soon."

"Please come back when you're ready, madam, miss."

Whose conversation is this? No, it must be about me.

While listening to their conversation, I couldn't help but stare at the beautiful face in the mirror, feeling a bit embarrassed.

...I wonder if the future earl will say I look so much cuter, or something like that.
