This voice was not particularly loud, but the moment it reached the ears of the crowd, it produced a completely opposite and drastically different effect.
Old Uncle Fu’s body trembled heavily, and he suddenly turned to look outside. At that moment, all the signs of his old age and his usual calm and solemn demeanor seemed to have been cast to the nine heavens.
“Master, you, have returned…”
His lips quivered slightly, and there seemed to be a few tears in his old eyes.
Two figures had already arrived without anyone noticing. One of them was a young man in a vigorous outfit, with a graceful demeanor and a handsome appearance. He exuded an extraordinary aura as he walked, and even though he was still far away, the sharp and overwhelming aura was already overwhelming.
Behind him was a figure as fiery red as a flame. The woman was as beautiful as a painting, with a slender figure, and as she approached, she seemed like a celestial being. However, her face carried a stern and inappropriate expression, making her seem like a massive ice block, radiating a powerful aura that warned others to stay away.
Yu Linghe’s face showed an incredible joy, and he muttered, “Sis, sis, sis…” As he reached out to touch, his hand was instantly wet with tears.
He was inwardly shocked, thinking it was a ghost.
Why did his body lose control so much when he saw his sister? Was the one controlling this body really him?
However, at this moment, his reaction was considered normal. If he could remain calm, that would be truly suspicious.
The red figure flashed, and the woman was already in front of Yu Linghe. She reached out and embraced him.
Yu Linghe’s breathing almost stopped, and his face instantly turned red. Although he knew it was his sister, this was his first time having such intimate contact with a woman.
However, the ice-like beauty instantly pushed him away, looked at him with doubt, and her eyes were filled with anger.
“Little brother, who hurt you?”
Before Yu Linghe could react, Old Uncle Fu said, “Miss Yu, I failed in my duty. These people came here yesterday when I was in the city on business, saying they wanted to buy the divine land of your family. Young Master refused, and they attacked him. When I returned, Young Master was already injured and unconscious.”
A flash of anger crossed the red-clothed beauty’s eyes, and she said coldly, “Good.”
She was like a block of ice that was hard to melt, and now with the intense killing intent in her heart, she was even more chilling.
Mao Sanfan and the others’ faces turned ashen, and they were inwardly distressed.
Miss Yu Ziyuan had clearly entered the swamp and had been missing for half a year. Even those who had the most confidence in her thought she had long since perished. But now, seeing this beautiful girl with a cold and fierce demeanor, they all felt a chill and inwardly lamented.
A figure flashed, and someone stepped forward before Yu Ziyuan, the graceful young man.
He took a step forward, approached the first big man, and casually threw a punch. This punch was neither hurried nor slow. The big man hurriedly raised his hand to block, but he was horrified to find that this seemingly ordinary punch contained an unimaginable force, forcefully pushing his fist aside. The punch was so powerful that his arm made a crisp sound and broke.
Not only that, the force of the punch did not diminish in the slightest and struck his face hard.
The big man’s body flew up and fell heavily to the ground. His eyes were tightly closed, and he spat out a mouthful of blood, not knowing how many teeth had been knocked out.
The young man in the vigorous outfit did not stop, moving as fast as the wind. He punched each of the four big men without hesitation, sending them all flying. Under his punches, these four men had no ability to resist. Each one had their arm broken and their mouth full of teeth knocked out.
Moreover, he controlled his strength perfectly, and even with such heavy blows, he did not knock any of them unconscious.
These four big men, enduring the intense pain but unable to fall unconscious, trembled all over, looking pitiful.
Mao Sanfan’s face changed drastically. He took several steps back and shouted, “Shen Sheng, do you dare hit me?”
Shen Sheng laughed, “Why not?”
He stepped forward and threw a punch. Mao Sanfan cried out, his face full of panic, and he raised his fist to meet it.
The two fists met, and Mao Sanfan groaned, staggering back several steps. His face turned pale, and he lost all color.
Shen Sheng stopped, crossed his arms, and said coldly, “Get out.”
Mao Sanfan glared at him with hatred, dared not say a word, and turned to leave. The four big men, though injured and in pain, also forced themselves to leave.
Yu Ziyuan watched silently until they were far away, then said slowly, “Why did you act first?”
Shen Sheng shrugged, “I was afraid you would hit too hard and kill them. That would be hard to explain.”
Yu Ziyuan’s eyes flashed, “They bullied us so much, should we just let them go?”
Shen Sheng shook his head, “Ziyuan, you are intelligent. You should understand. Even if we combine our strength, we are still no match for the Mao family. We can beat Mao Sanfan, but if we kill him, we can’t afford the consequences.”
Yu Ziyuan was furious, “What about my little brother? Should he be bullied?”
Shen Sheng hesitated, glancing at Yu Linghe.
Instantly, a surge of blood rushed to his head. Although Shen Sheng had no special intentions, Yu Linghe saw many things in that glance.
If it weren’t for his sister’s protection, he might really be bullied, or even killed, with no one to ask.
Yu Ziyuan immediately sensed the burning look in her brother’s eyes. Her heart trembled, and she turned to embrace him again, whispering, “Little brother, don’t worry. I won’t let anyone bully you again.”
Yu Linghe forced a smile, “Don’t worry, sister. I’m fine.”
Yu Ziyuan looked up in surprise, her eyes filled with even more concern. For some reason, she felt that something had changed in her brother. Although she didn’t know if it was good or bad, it made her feel a rare sense of helplessness.
Shen Sheng stepped forward and said, “Linglong, do you remember what happened before we entered the swamp six months ago?” He looked serious, “Perhaps you should consider the mayor’s proposal.”
Yu Ziyuan looked up, seemingly moved, but when she turned to look at Yu Linghe, her gaze was reluctant to let go.
Shen Sheng pressed on, “Ziyuan, I can take care of your little brother for you.”
Yu Linghe was confused, but he had a feeling that this might not be a good thing.
Suddenly, a long whistle came from afar, reaching the courtyard in an instant.
It was a man in his thirties. He looked at Yu Ziyuan and Shen Sheng and laughed, “So the two of you really came out of the swamp. Congratulations.”
Yu Ziyuan and Shen Sheng’s eyes narrowed, and they returned the greeting seriously.
The middle-aged man smiled, “The mayor heard that you returned safely and is very pleased. He has instructed me to come immediately and invite you to a banquet.” He paused and smiled, “I wonder if you will accept the invitation.”
Yu Ziyuan frowned, “Sir, we just returned, covered in dust, and haven’t had a chance to clean up…”
The man laughed, his gaze falling on Yu Linghe, “Miss Yu, this is your brother with the naturally blocked meridians, right? The mayor has prepared something for you to come and collect.”
Yu Ziyuan looked up, her eyes instantly shining with light.
After a moment, she finally nodded slowly, “Alright, I’ll go with you.”
Yu Linghe’s heart tightened. For some reason, he felt a sense of reluctance. He subconsciously reached out and grabbed his sister’s sleeve, unwilling to let her go.
Yu Ziyuan turned, and her eyes softened when she looked at her brother.
She gently pressed his hand and whispered, “Little brother, I’ll be back soon. I’ll bring you something nice when I return.”
Yu Linghe stammered, reluctantly withdrew his hand, and nodded lightly. However, inside him, a voice was almost uncontrollably shouting, “Sister, don’t go.”
Yu Ziyuan nodded in relief, gently patted her brother’s head, and felt a sense of loss. But she immediately composed herself and said, “Let’s go.” The three figures vanished in an instant.
When Yu Ziyuan’s figure disappeared from sight, the shouting inside Yu Linghe stopped.
He took a deep breath, and his body suddenly trembled violently.
At that moment, he suddenly realized that his mind seemed to have gained many new things. Although he only had a fleeting glimpse, he saw them clearly.
The stationery shop, and most of the things in it, were there.
He was shocked. Had he not only possessed this body but also brought the stationery shop with him?
“Master, Master Yu…”
A series of calls brought Yu Linghe, who was in a daze, back to his senses.
When he looked up, he saw that the doors around him had opened, and people from each household were coming to greet him.
Old Uncle Fu stood in front of him, smiling and fending them off.
Yu Linghe felt annoyed. These people had just stood by and watched, and now they were coming to show concern. He didn’t want to deal with them.
Closing his eyes, Yu Linghe lay down straight.
Amidst a chorus of gasps, Old Uncle Fu, with agility that belied his age, caught Yu Linghe and called out, “Everyone, Young Master’s injuries have not fully healed, and he needs rest. Please go back and visit him tomorrow.”
The crowd looked at each other, reluctantly left, but as they watched Old Uncle Fu carry Yu Linghe into the house, each of them had a thought.
This kid, has he really come to his senses?
