As they walked, Zheng Xiaotian saw a child ahead, dressed in a deer costume, crying and riding a bicycle frantically. Behind them, a figure in a bear costume was chasing.

"These two must be Corpses," Bai Xiaofei asked.

"Are you kidding? Didn't you see the one in front has an expression and can even cry? The one behind, with its teeth bared, is clearly the Corpse," Zheng Xiaotian pointed at the bear and the deer and said.

"Then, should we pretend we didn't see them, or what?" Bai Xiaofei asked.

"Go kick the bear kid's ass," Zheng Xiaotian said.

"I'll try, but I can't guarantee 100% success, okay?" Bai Xiaofei didn't commit fully.

"Okay!" Zheng Xiaotian nodded.

"Alright!" Bai Xiaofei stepped toward the two kids.

"Hey, Bear kid!" Bai Xiaofei said calmly to the Corpse.

"Roar!" The bear kid immediately ran toward Bai Xiaofei.

"Damn, that's scary." Bai Xiaofei turned and ran toward Zheng Xiaotian.

Zheng Xiaotian slapped his right hand on his face. He thought, "Sure enough, it's like this. As the main character, I can't even handle such a trivial matter."

Bai Xiaofei came to Zheng Xiaotian, and the bear kid followed closely behind.

"Hey, Bear kid!" Zheng Xiaotian said to the bear kid.

"Roar." The bear kid roared at Zheng Xiaotian, shifting his target to him.

"Die!" Zheng Xiaotian kicked out.

The bear kid flew like a shooting star, disappearing into the distance.

Zheng Xiaotian saved the deer kid. After some conversation, he learned her name was just Deer. Her mother had dropped her off at school, and then the zombie crisis began. She woke up to find herself in the apocalypse. She managed to survive without being eaten or infected, which was quite impressive.

"Hey, the guy with the eye on his forehead is coming," Bai Xiaofei pointed behind Zheng Xiaotian and said.

"Another eye on the forehead, this is a squinty-eyed guy," Zheng Xiaotian shook his head.

"Same old routine?" Bai Xiaofei looked at Zheng Xiaotian.

"What old routine do we have?" Zheng Xiaotian was a bit surprised.

"I mean, I'll take the non-regulars and retreat, and you'll fight," Bai Xiaofei said shamelessly.

"Are you still bringing this up? Last time, you took the policewoman and retreated. Where is she now? I'm asking you," Zheng Xiaotian looked at Bai Xiaofei.

"You can consider it a mistake. But I think it won't happen again," Bai Xiaofei said with a serious face.

Zheng Xiaotian clenched his right fist. He encountered such a person who wasted medicine, had no fighting ability, and was shameless. It was as if he had sinned in his previous life.

"Whatever, I won't argue with you. Let's take Deer and retreat," Zheng Xiaotian waved his hand.

"Alright." Bai Xiaofei excitedly picked up Deer and ran.

"Roar!" The squinty-eyed Corpse roared at Zheng Xiaotian.

"Roar your ass!" Zheng Xiaotian swung his dual knives.

"Roar!" The squinty-eyed Corpse strained his eyes, and his whole body leaped up.

"How did this guy get killed? He's so big." Zheng Xiaotian swallowed, thinking about the plot of the Corpse. He remembered that the squinty-eyed Corpse was killed by Bai Xiaofei's anal attack. The Corpse had no weak points except for his anus, which was a fatal weakness.

Zheng Xiaotian tightly gripped the saber, and his arm started to spin in circles.

One circle, two circles, three circles. With a swoosh, the saber shot toward the squinty-eyed Corpse's anus.

Plop. The saber pierced deep into the Corpse's anus.

The Corpse knelt on the ground and fell with a thud.

After dealing with the Corpse, Zheng Xiaotian felt that parting ways with Bai Xiaofei was fate. He could finally get rid of the troublesome guy. He decided to find a supermarket to get some food. The first rule of survival in the wild was to have food, water, and shelter. The last three couldn't be carried, but the first two were absolutely necessary.

Just as he took two steps, Bai Xiaofei, who wouldn't leave, appeared again.

"Look, Deer is still with me. I didn't lose her," Bai Xiaofei said, holding Deer and claiming credit.

"Sure, sure, you didn't lose her," Zheng Xiaotian said calmly.

"Where are we going now?" Bai Xiaofei asked.

"To the supermarket to get some food, just in case. We'll also find a bank to get some gold bars. This stuff can be exchanged anywhere," Zheng Xiaotian said.

"Isn't this considered robbery?" Bai Xiaofei said.

"Do you think the city surveillance system is still working? The power is out everywhere," Zheng Xiaotian said.

"But if it's caught on satellite, that's not good," Bai Xiaofei said.

"If you carry an empty bag into the bank and come out with a full one, no one will know it's gold bars. Once you're out, you can sell it on the black market, and it'll be all set," Zheng Xiaotian said.

"But..." Bai Xiaofei still had objections.

"If you're scared, I'll take it, and you can watch. If they catch us, they'll catch me, not you. If I get rich, I'll go to America, and you can stay here and suffer. When you want to have some fun, you can find a female zombie, and when you're in a bad mood, you can kill a male zombie," Zheng Xiaotian said.

"I'll go with you to load the gold bars," Bai Xiaofei said.

Swoosh... Bang! A durian hit Zheng Xiaotian on the head.

Bai Xiaofei thought, "Is this the result of not being good? It's like being punished by heaven. Luckily, we didn't do it, just thought about it. If we had really done it, we would have been struck by lightning."

"Hey, you on the fifth floor, I'll get you!" Zheng Xiaotian looked up and saw a figure moving on the fifth floor. He was immediately angry. This was a deliberate provocation, wasn't it? He was determined to tear the guy apart, definitely.

"Xiaotian!" Bai Xiaofei grabbed Zheng Xiaotian's wrist.

"What's wrong?" Zheng Xiaotian turned to look at Bai Xiaofei and asked.

"I'm saying, it's too dangerous. If possible, why don't you just not go?" Bai Xiaofei asked.

"Damn, my head is bleeding. If I don't deal with this bastard, am I still a man? You can stay, but I'm going to get revenge!" Zheng Xiaotian walked toward the building.

Bai Xiaofei sighed and followed Zheng Xiaotian. He just felt that going alone was more dangerous.
