I felt disheartened by the foolishness of the memories that came flooding back. Without intending to, I found myself in the orz pose, but I figured it was fine to that extent.
*rumble*
...Get a hold of yourself, my stomach. This is a really serious moment, you know!?
This could be the famous "other world trip" that some people know about.
I might never be able to return to the modern world.
I could even have died from a cause so ridiculous that even a comedy sketch would blush, and been reincarnated.
*rumble rumble*
"......"
I'll quietly look for something to eat. *sigh*
With the sound of my stomach as the BGM, I searched for something edible while looking for a water source. There were nuts that looked like walnuts and some kind of berry that resembled snake berries. Since birds (or something) were eating them, they were probably safe to eat.
Well, a woman's got to have some guts!
I filled the leaf of a bowl-shaped plant, which looked like a houseplant, to the brim.
I was convincing myself with hypothetical explanations, but everything here was something I didn't know, even if it was similar. Moreover, I noticed strange plants and bugs. This place definitely didn't seem to be Japan.
The climate wasn't too hot or too cold, and I was wearing a three-quarter sleeve shirt.
I suddenly noticed my clothes. I didn't remember buying such clothes.
Moreover, there were expensive-looking gold bracelets on both my wrists. I didn't recognize these either.
...Actually,
Am I small?!
Until now, I thought the trees around me were just tall.
I had assumed everything was generally oversized.
But since I picked the two types of food from a low spot, it hit me pretty late.
I've shrunk, haven't I?!
There were no longer the delicate but definite breasts I used to have!
Instead, my stomach was protruding. Like Mr. Q, THE toddler body.
"......!"
-Checking-
"......Good. I'd be in trouble if I turned out to be a guy."
Nothing was attached. Good. I'd be in trouble if I turned out to be a guy.
But it's getting serious. The theory of being in another world is becoming more and more plausible.
I gave up thinking about the realities that were being thrust upon me one after another and my hunger. After all, thinking just makes you hungrier.
For now, I just walked aimlessly, driven by the instinct of hunger, looking for a water source.
I really wanted to devour everything, but a part of me remained unusually calm and decided to at least wash the food, since I couldn't be sure if it was safe.
It must be a habit from my job handling food.
But if it really turns out to be bad, I'll eat it anyway. Yeah.
After wandering for quite some time,
I'm an atheist, but I sincerely prayed to God.
I hadn't prayed this much since I had a stomach flu and was cooped up in the bathroom. The medicine had run out, and I couldn't go to the hospital.
That was really tough...
What? I should respect God more??
No good. Hallucinations and auditory hallucinations in my mind are really bad.
The ground was slippery with moss-like stuff and moisture. Maybe I should eat this too.
Huh? Moisture...
"There might be water nearby!"
Using the last of my strength, I moved forward, and a small lake spread out before my eyes.
I was so ready to devour the food without washing it, and even the moss.
Thank you, God! From now on, I'll pray even outside the bathroom!!
I managed to restrain myself from diving in and checked for any dangers before reaching out to the water.
The pleasant temperature of the water was transmitted to my hand.
I washed my hands and scooped up some water from a little distance to smell it. It was odorless.
I couldn't see any dirt either.
I cautiously took a sip, but there was no discomfort. Even though it was just water, I felt a strong sweetness.
I realized how thirsty I had been and, with determination, swallowed it.
This plain water was more exquisite than any fine wine I had ever tasted in my life.
I scooped up and drank the water multiple times.
Once my thirst was quenched, I placed the leaf I had been using as a container to the side and washed each item of food one by one before eating it.
It wasn't particularly delicious, but hunger is the best seasoning. I finished it in no time.
Although I wasn't completely full, I felt a bit more calm and decided to think about the reality I had been avoiding.
I'm sorry for such a ridiculous story! (prostrating)
