"Are you Asian? I had a classmate once who had a name very similar to yours."

"Yes, that's right, I am Asian, more specifically Chinese. I'm an orphan, adopted by my current parents, and I took their surname."

Liu Nan needed to find common ground with Peter Parker, so he started by talking about their backgrounds. Peter Parker was also an orphan, adopted by his uncle Ben Parker.

"Oh, you're an orphan too. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to look down on you. I meant that I'm also an orphan, but I was adopted by my uncle Ben."

Sure enough, after learning that Liu Nan was also an orphan, the deep-seated inferiority in Peter Parker's heart diminished, and he felt a sense of familiarity with Liu Nan. Peter Parker was very willing to be friends with Liu Nan.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about? Can I join in? I'm David Lezinsky. I heard what you were saying, and I'm from a single-parent family."

The boy sitting in front of Liu Nan turned around and said to Liu Nan and Peter.

"Beep, mission issued: become best friends with Kick-Ass. Mission duration: one week. Success reward: 5000 exchange points. Failure penalty: 1 hour of third-degree pain stimulation."

Damn, another mission. Kick-Ass, could this David Lezinsky be the Kick-Ass from the movie, the guy who dresses in green and wields two sticks as a superhero? Is the failure penalty to experience what Kick-Ass went through in the movie?

"Oh, it looks like we're the three unlucky musketeers."

Liu Nan said with a smile. Two orphans plus a kid from a single-parent family, quite the unlucky trio.

Peter and David both laughed, and the three of them quickly became closer. This gave Liu Nan more confidence in completing the mission. This is 15,000 exchange points, equivalent to what he earned from five years of missions. He absolutely couldn't give up.

"Hey, did you guys know? There are two super beautiful girls in the classroom next door."

As their relationship became more lively, their true natures began to show. Both Peter and David were a bit lecherous. Peter had already started paying attention to the girls around him, but he lacked the courage to act on it.

"Are you talking about Katie DeCoso and Mikaela Banes? I know them too. They are the super beauties among the freshmen. Many seniors have already set their sights on them and are preparing to pursue them."

It seems David had done his homework, even knowing their names. Liu Nan was a bit surprised by his new friends, who were quite deep.

But Liu Nan was also a bit shocked. These two names were very familiar to him. One was David's future girlfriend, and the other was the female lead in Transformers. Could it be that Optimus Prime really exists? How much more chaotic can this world get?

"What? Liu Nan, you don't know?"

Seeing Liu Nan's puzzled face, Peter looked very surprised, as if not knowing these two beauties was a huge mistake.

"I just got here, how would I know?"

Liu Nan was speechless. He had just arrived at the school, unlike them, who had come early and gathered information about things they were interested in.

"Liu Nan, you're not very proactive. Don't you know to come early? High school is very exciting. If you miss out on the exciting parts of high school, you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

David also joined in the criticism of Liu Nan.

"Cough, I think it's supposed to be college, are you sure you're not using the wrong term?"

"Uh, okay, I admit it, but high school is also important. Trust us, you should give it a try."

"Alright, I'll listen to you, but class is about to start, and those two beauties are in another classroom."

"No problem, in the next class, we'll be in the same classroom. I've seen our schedules, and except for Mr. Dave's class, the rest of our choices are the same."

Parker's ability to gather information was impressive. No wonder he became a journalist later on. It's not just about his convenience in taking photos; his talent for gathering information was also well-developed.

"You even know this? Are you planning to make a move?"

Liu Nan smiled mischievously at Peter, who avoided his gaze.

"No way, they're not my type. I'm just curious."

Like the Peter in the movie, before becoming Spider-Man, he was very insecure and couldn't bring himself to approach the girls he liked.

Liu Nan smiled but didn't push Peter. Peter's true love would only appear in college. In high school, Peter was still a good boy.

The three of them chatted and laughed for a bit, and the bell rang as expected. The classroom quieted down as they waited for the teacher to start the lesson. Liu Nan was a bit bored. With his intelligence and the help of the memory bread, he had already finished the first year of high school. American education was quite relaxed; high school courses were similar to middle school courses in China, with no real difficulty. The challenging part was the homework.

Teachers usually didn't assign practice problems to students but required them to submit various social practice or experimental content, which was the difficult part of the homework.

Peter and David were not top students; they were just ordinary students with no special talents or charm. They were both homebodies who enjoyed reading comics, especially David, who had a tendency to be obsessed with them, which was why he would later become a superhero.

In the second class, they changed classrooms. As Peter had said, when they entered another classroom, Liu Nan saw two girls sitting together. One was a petite, green-eyed classical mixed-race beauty, likely Katie DeCoso. The other had black hair, red lips, and piercing eyes, clearly Mikaela Banes, with a look reminiscent of Angelina Jolie. Even at a young age, her figure was already well-developed.

However, the two beauties were already surrounded by a circle of boys, several of whom were muscular athletes. It seemed their targets were Katie and Mikaela.

"Hey, Liu Nan, look, see them? Aren't they beautiful?"

As soon as they entered the classroom, Peter tugged at Liu Nan's clothes and whispered to him. However, his eyes betrayed him, and the circle of protectors around the beauties noticed Peter's intentions.

"See them, see them. Let's find seats first."

Liu Nan saw the unfriendly looks from the protectors and knew something was about to happen. What better way to establish dominance than to bully two weaklings and an Asian?

"Oh, let's go sit over there."

Seeing that there were no seats left around the beauties, Peter had to find another place.

As they passed by one of the protectors, a leg suddenly appeared in front of Peter. Peter didn't notice and tripped over the sturdy leg, about to fall flat on his face. Liu Nan, standing next to him, immediately grabbed Peter's clothes, stopping his forward momentum and helping him regain balance.

"Peter, watch your step. Don't let a mad dog trip you."

Liu Nan said to Peter.

"Yellow monkey, who are you calling a mad dog?"

Liu Nan's voice wasn't muffled, and the protector who had intended to make Peter look foolish heard it.

"Liu Nan, ignore him. The teacher won't let him get away with it. Let's go to our seats."

Seeing the protector, who was clearly much bigger than him, Peter backed down. He wasn't a match for him, and if a conflict arose, he would likely be the one to suffer.

"That's right, Liu Nan, ignore him. Let's go."

David had the same mindset. They had been bullied before and knew how bad these people could be.

"Whoever agrees is the mad dog. Why are you so eager to step forward? Are you trying to admit it?"

Liu Nan wouldn't back down. In middle school, he had beaten up a group of seven or eight high school students who tried to extort him, making them cry for their parents. From then on, no one dared to bother him. Although the high school students were unhappy, Lina directly sent seven or eight lawyers from her law firm to help Liu Nan with the legal battle. The parents of the beaten students realized that Liu Nan was someone they couldn't mess with and had to make their children behave.

"Damn, you're asking for it."

The mad dog, insulted by Liu Nan, flew into a rage and swung his fist. He seemed to have some training, with a standard boxing stance, likely a boxer.

"Ah!"

The girls in the classroom couldn't help but gasp, but when they looked closely, the situation wasn't as they had imagined. The skinny Asian student wasn't beaten up; instead, he caught the mad dog's massive fist with his hands, and the mad dog's face showed pain.

"Ah, it hurts, it hurts, let go, let go."

Liu Nan's slender, pale fingers tightened like an iron band, and the mad dog felt his hand bones about to break.

"Who's the mad dog now?"

Looking at the mad dog, who was almost in tears, Liu Nan said casually. Had he been training for nothing all these years? Over the past decade, besides practicing the Dragon Elephant Kung, Liu Nan had also exchanged for Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, and Tai Chi, making him more than just a brute. With constant enhancement using exchange points, he had not only reached the seventh level of Dragon Elephant Kung but also greatly improved his martial arts skills. It wasn't just this one mad dog; even if there were twenty more, he could take them down in minutes.

"I am, I am, let go, my hand is about to break."

The protector, unable to bear the pain, begged for mercy, regardless of his pride.

"Next time, be more careful with your eyes. Know who you can mess with and who you can't."

Liu Nan released his hand. He wasn't a killer and wouldn't lose his mind over a verbal conflict and destroy someone's hand.
