Chapter 20: If you have the guts, crack my skull open!

6 min read1,447 words

Tang Chong, Li Yu, and Liang Tao stood at the door, waiting. Seeing Hua Wuxie cleverly grab a seat, they prepared to join him. However, unexpectedly, they saw a few tall guys walking straight towards him, blocking their view.

Feeling something was amiss, they quickly ran over.

But they were still a step too slow. Before they could reach the spot, they heard the sound of a chair breaking and someone falling to the ground.

The commotion naturally disturbed the other diners in the restaurant. Instead of fleeing, they all looked on with excitement, eagerly anticipating a more thrilling spectacle. After all, students were quite interested in such fights.

"Damn your grandmother." Although Hua Wuxie had been ambushed, his thick skin and robust build allowed him to quickly crawl out from under the table. He 'borrowed' two beer bottles from a nearby table and was about to smash them on the head of the guy who had kicked him.

Bang!

His raised arm was grabbed by someone. The guy, who was about the same height but much less muscular, caught his wrist, preventing him from swinging the bottles.

"Classmate, you're a freshman, right? Are you sure you want to be reprimanded or even expelled on your first day at school for fighting?" The guy with a short haircut looked at Hua Wuxie, who was right in front of him, and asked with a smile.

"Reprimand? Who cares. I'm going to crack your skull open today." Hua Wuxie growled. He had thought his build would allow him to walk around the school without anyone daring to provoke him. He never expected to be humiliated on his first day.

Now, all he could think about was regaining his lost face. The consequences were not something he considered.

"Teacher Zhang, you saw, right? I didn't mean to cause trouble in your restaurant. This guy is just too arrogant." The short-haired guy said to a middle-aged man with glasses who had quickly come down from the second floor.

"What's going on?" Zhang Haichang shouted angrily. "What are you doing? Fighting on the first day of school? Do you have any sense of being a student?"

He rushed to Hua Ming and shouted, "Put the bottles down! Whose skull do you want to crack? If you're so tough, crack my skull open!"

Crack!

Zhang Haichang felt a sharp pain in his head, and his consciousness began to blur.

Then, his body swayed and he fell to the floor.

Hua Ming had fulfilled his request, cracking his skull open.

Everyone looked at each other in shock.

Is this guy too strong? He even dared to hit a teacher?

"I..." Hua Ming wanted to explain but couldn't find the words.

He stared at his hands in a daze, then glared at the short-haired guy with a murderous look.

"Damn, bro, you're too strong. You even dared to hit Teacher Zhang?" The short-haired guy laughed. "Hurry up and take him to the hospital. If Teacher Zhang loses too much blood and something happens, you'll be in big trouble."

"Why are you staring at me? Afraid I'll run?" The short-haired guy smiled. "I'm Qiao Lei, from the International Finance College. If you want revenge, come anytime. Just ask around, everyone knows my name."

"Let's save him first." Tang Chong said, then bent down to carry Teacher Zhang, who had been hit by Hua Wuxie, and ran to the 160 Hospital next to the school.

"Jiang Chong, the school has a medical room," Liang Tao shouted from behind.

"Go to the hospital," Tang Chong said. The school did have a medical room, but it could only handle minor illnesses and simple bandages. For a patient like today's, even if they were sent there, they would likely still need to be transferred to the hospital. Tang Chong didn't want to waste time.

"Wait here," Hua Ming wanted to rush over and fight Qiao Lei again. But seeing Tang Chong already carrying Teacher Zhang out, he was worried about his strength and could only glare at them and run out.

"These freshmen are really overconfident. If we don't teach them a lesson, they won't know how many eyes Prince Qiao has," a tall guy next to Qiao Lei laughed.

"Go to hell. I only have two eyes," Qiao Lei cursed. Then his expression turned serious, and he asked, "Did you notice that guy with glasses?"

"Guy with glasses? What guy with glasses?" Li Da Peng asked. He pulled a chair and sat down, saying, "Now, this table is ours, right? That fool actually dared to take our seat. Order some food. Hurry up, we're all hungry."

"The one who carried Teacher Zhang out," Qiao Lei pressed his hand on the menu, stopping them from ordering. "If he hadn't carried Teacher Zhang away at the end, I wouldn't have known he was with that big guy."

"What about the guy with glasses?" Hao Song saw Qiao Lei's serious expression and asked.

"Just now, he was quietly standing behind us," Qiao Lei said with a lingering fear. "If that big guy hadn't lost control and hit Teacher Zhang with a bottle, what would have happened if we had fought?"

"You mean he might have ambushed us?" Hao Song laughed and asked.

"Not might, but definitely," Qiao Lei said. "He was standing behind me, and the first target for an ambush would be me. His positioning was also clever, blocking Li Da Peng and Zhang Ning from getting in."

"In other words, if I were hit, you would be the only one standing in front of him," Hao Song said.

"Hey, one is one. What's the problem? Don't you have confidence in me? Worried I can't handle him?" Hao Song said indifferently.

"I'm really worried you can't handle him," Qiao Lei said. "Think about it, he's so thin, yet he could carry Teacher Zhang, who weighs over 150 pounds, and still run so fast. This guy is not simple."

Everyone seriously recalled the scene of Tang Chong carrying Teacher Zhang out, and their expressions turned serious.

Qiao Lei grinned and said, "Brothers, be careful. Don't let a small stream capsize your boat and make a fool of yourselves."

Registration, payment, and Teacher Zhang was sent to the examination room.

Hua Wuxie panted and leaned against the wall, his face full of anger and unease.

Tang Chong walked over, patted his shoulder, and said, "Don't worry. It'll be fine."

"I was ambushed," Hua Wuxie said fiercely.

"I know," Tang Chong nodded. "Even if you were impulsive, you wouldn't have hit the teacher. It was because he suddenly let go, and you weren't prepared, so the bottle hit Teacher Zhang's head. Right?"

Hua Ming looked at Tang Chong in surprise and asked, "How did you know?"

That was indeed the case. But his action of letting go was very subtle, his hand still on his arm but applying no force. Hua Wuxie, in his anger, tried to grab the bottle back and used too much force, causing the bottle to swing back and hit Teacher Zhang's head.

He thought only he knew the truth, and even if he told others, no one would believe him.

But Tang Chong knew everything.

"I guessed from your aggrieved expression," Tang Chong said. "He did say his name. Revenge can wait. The school has been alerted by the teacher being hit. The security department might be on their way. We need to think of a way to get through this."

"Each person is responsible for their own actions. This is entirely my fault and has nothing to do with you," Hua Ming said with a sense of responsibility. He looked at Tang Chong and said, "You take them and go. Don't get involved in this."

"Leadership was just established today, and you're already thinking of getting rid of us?" Tang Chong shook his head. He thought for a moment and said, "The security department should be here soon. Hold on here for a bit. I'll go think of a plan."

With that, Tang Chong quickly walked out of the school.

Liang Tao came over and whispered, "Tang Chong is gone?"

"He went to think of a plan," Hua Wuxie said.

"Hehe, once he leaves, he might not come back," Liang Tao sneered.

"Shut up," Hua Wuxie growled, his face full of disgust.

Then, he walked to a corner of the corridor, took out his phone, and dialed a number, whispering, "Uncle, it's Hua Ming. I got into some trouble at school."
