Chapter 27: The Wolfish Group Motivation Model!

Li Tieshu glanced appreciatively at Tang Zhong and Li Yu, then shouted at the few boys who were still trying to explain their reasons to him: "A soldier's duty is to obey orders. Now, I am your instructor. You are my soldiers. Whatever I tell you to do, your only answer should be 'Yes, Instructor.' If you're not satisfied, you can apply to the school to be transferred out of my team."
No one responded. They knew very well that even if they applied to the school, the school would only help the instructor punish them.
"Anyone who tries to explain their reasons will get five extra laps," Li Tieshu said. "If you don't act within three seconds, you'll get another five laps."
Rustle, rustle, rustle
Those few boys ran faster than rabbits.
For Tang Zhong, running was a very easy task. He had already run more than ten laps around the track in the morning. Running another ten laps now wasn't that hard to accept.
However, for the frail Li Yu and the long-term sedentary Liang Tao, it was a matter of life and death.
Hua Ming initially tried to be a hero, relying on his tall and strong build to run in front of Tang Zhong.
After one lap, he gave up.
By the second lap, his condition was no different from Li Yu and Liang Tao.
On the third lap, he and the others were already pale and wobbly.
"Don't talk," Tang Zhong shouted loudly. "Maintain steady breathing and keep a steady pace."
Tang Zhong was the only one on the scene who could still speak fluently. Hearing his instructions, everyone tried to follow them.
However, fifteen laps was a distant goal.
Tang Zhong looked back at the scattered group behind him and knew that this wouldn't get the job done.
Given Li Tieshu's typical military style, slacking off was not an option.
So, he stopped in the middle of the track and shouted, "Everyone, stop. Stop."
Liang Tao, Hua Ming, and Li Yu stopped beside him, and the other punished boys followed suit.
They panted heavily, wanting nothing more than to sit down on the grass and never get up.
"No sitting," Tang Zhong shouted loudly. "No one is allowed to sit."
Hearing this, the boys who were about to sit down made an effort to stand straight.
"If you sit down, you won't be able to get up," Tang Zhong said. "Now, we are a team. I will rearrange your positions. Follow my commands—Hua Ming, you lead. Li Yu, you follow Hua Ming. Liang Tao, you're third. You, fourth—"
There were some students whose names Tang Zhong couldn't call out, but he arranged them based on their strengths and previous performance.
Tang Zhong stood at the back of the line, mimicking the instructor's tone and shouting loudly, "Now, follow my commands—Ready, run."
Hua Ming led the way, running out first.
Although he was tired, his large build meant he had a strong physique and untapped strength. He could act as the locomotive.
Li Yu, the smallest and weakest in the group, had to run hard to keep up with Hua Ming and the others pushing from behind.
Liang Tao, with his average physical condition but strong sense of self-respect, didn't want to be outdone by his dorm mates who were in front of him.
The others were also arranged in a pattern of alternating strong and weak, and more importantly, Tang Zhong had transformed the scattered group into a unified whole.
He gave them a goal, making them follow the strong. He gave them faith, teaching them to support each other.
This was a group motivation model called 'Wolfish' that he had learned in Henshan Prison.
Tang Zhong followed at the back of the group, shouting the commands: "One-two-three-four, two-two-three-four, three-two-three-four, four-two-three-four"
Five laps
Ten laps
Fifteen laps
There were still many female classes training on the soccer field. At first, they didn't pay much attention to the group being punished by the instructor.
However, when this group ran ten, eleven, and even more laps, they were shocked.
"Wow, these guys can really run? How many laps have they done?"
"Exactly. I'm getting dizzy watching them, but there are two hot guys in there."
"The guy at the back is amazing. He can still shout commands after so many laps."
That day, they remembered the two hot guys and the man who shouted commands lap after lap.
Sixteen laps, seventeen laps, eighteen laps
"Eighteenth lap," Tang Zhong shouted excitedly. "One more lap—One-two-three-four, two-two-three-four"
Actually, Tang Zhong, Hua Ming, Liang Tao, and Li Yu were only supposed to run fifteen laps. They had completed the instructor's task.
However, Tang Zhong didn't stop, and the other three didn't realize the issue, continuing to run mechanically and mindlessly.
"Stop," Tang Zhong shouted loudly.
Screech
The group, completely following the commands, stopped abruptly. Two people almost fell to the ground.
Tang Zhong quickly ran over to support them.
"I know you're tired," Tang Zhong shouted. "But no matter how tired you are, you can't give up now. You've already run twenty laps. If you can run twenty laps, can't you stand for a little longer? I know you can do it."
"I—" Hua Ming opened his mouth, feeling his throat dry, and his words came out hoarsely. "I'm still okay."
"We can keep going," someone said weakly.
"Instructor, keep shouting the commands."
"One-two-three-four, two-two-three-four"
Tang Zhong shouted the commands again.
However, this time he deliberately slowed down the pace. He didn't let them continue running but had them walk in a small circle.
Li Tieshu stood by the iron fence between the soccer field and the basketball court, quietly watching the tall, thin, bespectacled boy who had taken his place.
"Not bad," he said with a smile on his dark face.
Thanks to Tang Zhong's guidance, all the students completed twenty laps around the track, which they previously thought was impossible.
Moreover, they were still standing, not lying on the ground like dead dogs, thanks to Tang Zhong's scientific approach and his constant encouragement through commands.
Although they couldn't speak, their eyes clearly expressed their admiration: "We are convinced!"
Even Liang Tao's expression towards Tang Zhong had changed. He remembered the revenge plan he and Secretary Zhao had set: to isolate him by winning over the people around him and then crush him underfoot, making him never able to lift his head again.
Could he really crush such a person underfoot?
"What are you doing? What are you all doing?" Li Tieshu suddenly appeared behind them. "Do you think running twenty laps is enough? That's just your punishment. Get back in line and join the normal training."
"Yes, Instructor," Tang Zhong responded loudly.
The others also responded weakly and ran back to their class lines.
"My legs are broken," someone groaned.
"My bones are falling apart."
"I don't want to eat. Whatever I eat, I'll just throw up."
On the first day of military training, the complaints on the way were endless. Everyone looked very tired, but there was still a hint of excitement on their faces.
In a few days, when their excitement waned and they woke up in pain every day, that would be the hardest time.
Tang Zhong didn't find the military training particularly hard. It was more challenging for him to pretend to be as exhausted as the others.
Just as he was about to go to the cafeteria with Hua Ming and the others, his phone rang.
Looking at the caller ID, it showed Bai Su's number.
Of course, only a few people, including Bai Su, Aken, and the Boss, knew this number. Lin Huiyin and Zhang Heben didn't even bother to remember his phone number.
Tang Zhong walked to a corner and answered the call, asking, "What's up?"
"Tang Zhong, there's an important event tonight that you need to attend. Take a taxi back to the villa first. Aken will help you with your appearance," Bai Su said.
Tang Zhong frowned and said, "Now?"
"Now," Bai Su replied.
PS: Let's charge forward like wolves!
