Qiao Lei was also a well-known figure in the school. When he and his basketball team went to cause trouble for the freshmen, it naturally attracted a crowd of onlookers.

Many people prayed for the unfortunate freshmen, knowing that they would not escape the bullying and humiliation from Qiao Lei and his gang today.

What they never expected was that the incident would end in such a shocking way.

The tall, thin guy with glasses, still wearing his freshman military training uniform, must be a new first-year student.

Not only did he have the courage to stand up to Qiao Lei, but he also slapped him hard and then carried him over to throw him into the lotus pond. The school has several lotus ponds, and the one they were at is called the 'Ink Washing Pond.'

This pond didn't wash ink for the students of Nan University, but it did give Qiao Lei and his gang a cold bath.

"Damn, this guy is too strong! Who is he? What department is he in? There's actually such a capable person among this year's freshmen?"

"Hehe, Qiao Lei always parades around with his gang, but this time he's kicked a steel plate, hasn't he? Why am I so happy to see them get beaten up? I really want to kick them a few more times, to beat the fallen dogs."

"Wow, that guy is so handsome, so handsome! His fighting stance is just too cool."

Not only were the onlookers shocked, but even Hua Ming, Li Yu, and Liang Tao stood there dumbfounded, as if they were seeing Tang Chong for the first time.

Hua Ming was the most affected. He had just run to the scene, and Tang Chong had already thrown Qiao Lei into the pond.

He shifted his target to Li Dapeng, but before his kick could reach Li Dapeng's butt, Li Dapeng was dragged to the edge of the pond by Tang Chong and pushed in.

Then, he went to attack the two guys behind Li Dapeng.

He was fast, but Tang Chong was even faster.

Before his fists could reach them, the two unlucky guys were thrown into the water.

In a panic, Hua Ming almost shouted, "Hero, stop! Those two are my targets!"

After Tang Chong took down four people, Hua Ming stopped on his own.

He was too shocked, and Tang Chong's moves were so smooth and cool that he couldn't help but stop to admire them.

What disappointed him was that the two guys were so scared by Tang Chong that they didn't even have the courage to fight back. They jumped into the pond themselves.

Li Yu and Liang Tao didn't even touch the six guys, and the fight was over.

Liang Tao's eyes widened in shock, but he secretly felt relieved.

Fortunately, he chose to stand on Tang Chong's side. If he had always thought of opposing him, he would have been thrown into the pond too, right?

"Brother Two, you're too awesome!" Hua Ming rushed over and hugged Tang Chong tightly. "Are you an invincible Ultraman? These little monsters aren't even enough to fill your teeth."

"Brother Two, you have to teach me," Liang Tao said with a smile. "Using this move to flirt with girls is simply unbeatable and always hits the mark."

"Right, right, I want to learn too," Hua Ming said. "With my left hand holding a rabbit and my right hand using this move, I'll be the top Casanova at Nan University."

Li Yu chuckled, patted Tang Chong and Hua Ming on the shoulder, but didn't say anything.

"Alright, if you want to learn, you have to run with me every morning," Tang Chong said with a smile.

Liang Tao and Hua Ming were stunned.

Getting up so early was worse than being killed. They might as well not learn this skill.

"I'll run," Li Yu said shyly, looking at Tang Chong for approval.

"Alright, I'll take you," Tang Chong agreed readily.

Qiao Lei and his gang all knew how to swim. When they were thrown into the pond, they were shocked and a bit panicked. Soon, they calmed down, but the deep sense of humiliation almost made them want to jump up and kill someone.

But they also knew they were no match for Tang Chong.

In the fight, they were at a huge disadvantage. They didn't even have a chance to fight back before being thrown into the pond by that guy.

What was even more infuriating was that two of them were so weak that they were forced to jump into the water themselves. "Do you have any backbone at all? Don't you know that the guy did this on purpose to humiliate us?"

He made the onlookers realize that they were just paper tigers, completely unable to fight back.

They didn't have the courage to say anything more, and they were too ashamed to climb out of the pond where Tang Chong was standing.

They swam to the other side and climbed out from the steps there.

They didn't even have the face to look at Tang Chong again, and they all left with their heads down.

"Let's go eat," Tang Chong said.

"Tang Chong," Liang Tao called out.

Tang Chong turned to look at him.

"Let's eat out for lunch. It's a celebration," Liang Tao said.

Tang Chong laughed and said, "Alright. If Liang Dasha wants to treat us, only a fool would refuse."

Seeing that Tang Chong was willing to joke with him, Liang Tao felt a bit moved.

He knew that Tang Chong had finally accepted him.

"Jiao Nanxin, what can I say to you?" An elderly lady in a dark red qipao, with a kind and elegant demeanor, sat next to Jiao Nanxin, her face full of sorrow. "Look at you, it's only the second day of your enrollment at Nan University, and you're already injured like this. You said you hurt your calf while running, which I can understand. But what about your eye? Did you really hit it on a door frame? Who ever heard of a child hitting their eye like that on a door frame?"

"Grandma, I've explained it to you so many times. Why don't you believe me?" Jiao Nanxin covered her face with a sofa cushion. "And please, don't mention my eye anymore. I'm already embarrassed enough."

Jiao Nanxin's injured calf meant she couldn't participate in the military training. After taking leave from her counselor, Li Qiang, she came to live with her grandmother. With her leg injured, even eating was a problem. She didn't want to keep bothering her roommates, so living at home was more convenient.

But what frustrated her was that the elderly lady kept asking about her eye, almost wearing out her ears.

"How can I believe you? You said you hit your eye on a door frame. Come on, I have doors at home too. Go hit your other eye on a door frame and show me," the elderly lady said angrily.

Jiao Nanxin was speechless and said, "Grandma, you're so cruel. I'm your own granddaughter. How can you treat me like this?"

"How am I treating you? I'm concerned about you," the elderly lady said angrily. "Why do you have to learn boxing from those boys? Reading books, writing, growing flowers, and keeping pets are all good. Your parents indulge you, but I won't. Jiao Nanxin, you will live at home from now on, and I will correct all your bad habits. In three months, I'll make you one of the most refined ladies in Yanjing City."

Jiao Nanxin was about to cry and said, "Grandma, you're trying to kill me. If you keep talking, I won't eat lunch, and I'll leave right now."

"How can you not eat lunch and leave right now?" Jiao Yuheng pushed the door open and walked in. "What? Having another argument with Grandma?"

"No, how could I dare?" Jiao Nanxin said with a bitter smile. "It's just that this old lady is trying to brainwash me. How can I let her succeed? If I do, I'll end up being bullied by men all my life, just like her."

"What do you mean by being bullied by men all your life?" Jiao Yuheng was amused by his granddaughter's words. "When have I ever bullied your grandma?"

"Have you? Not letting her work and making her stay at home to cook and clean for you, isn't that bullying? I can't do that."

The elderly lady was angry, grabbed a sofa cushion, and hit Jiao Nanxin's head, scolding her, "You brat, you're so stubborn now. Wait until you find a man you like, and you'll be happy to stay at home and cook and clean for him."

Jiao Nanxin covered her head with her hands and said, "That will never happen."

"Alright, alright," Jiao Yuheng said with a smile. "Is the food ready? Let's eat."

The elderly lady went to help Jiao Nanxin to the dining table, but Jiao Nanxin refused, saying, "Grandma, I can do it myself. I'm not a refined lady."

Then, she hopped over to the table and sat down.

The elderly lady watched and felt a headache coming on, her blood pressure rising.

Jiao Yuheng held his wife's hand and said, "Forget it. Each generation has its own fortune. We can't force it."

After the two elders sat down, Jiao Nanxin cleverly put a chicken leg in each of their bowls and asked, "Grandpa, did anything interesting happen at school today?"

"Hmm," Jiao Yuheng nodded and said, "There was something interesting."

"What happened?" Jiao Nanxin asked curiously.

Jiao Yuheng smiled bitterly and said, "It's that new student of mine again. Just as I was leaving work, the academic affairs director came to my office and told me about it."

"Tang Chong?" Jiao Nanxin perked up her ears.

"Yes, that guy is really not an easy one," Jiao Yuheng took a small sip of wine and said. "He got into a fight today."

"Really? With who? Did he win or lose?"

"Qiao Lei from the International Finance Department, a third-year student and a well-known troublemaker in the school," Jiao Yuheng said. "He beat up six members of the school basketball team and threw them all into the Ink Washing Pond."

"Really? That's amazing," Jiao Nanxin's eyes widened in surprise. Then, her eyes hurt, and she remembered she was injured. Her eye was hurt, and she couldn't open it too wide, or it would pull the eyelid.

"Yes," Jiao Yuheng nodded. "This incident has spread throughout the school. Everyone is calling him the 'Freshman Number One.' It's a headache just thinking about it. I'll have to find time to talk to him again."

"Freshman Number One?" Jiao Nanxin's chopsticks snapped. "That damn bastard. He said he didn't know martial arts. How could he fight six people at once?"

Thinking about her injured eye, Jiao Nanxin wanted to kill him.
