Pharmacology, forging, and even rune studies.
These high-level skills flashed through Colin's mind, and the greed in his heart couldn't help but burst forth. If the system could really learn these skills, everything would change.
"Phew!" Colin exhaled a long breath, suppressing his greed. Then he bent down to put down the container and paper, picked up his shirt, jacket, and leather shoes, and put them on, then quietly waited for the end.
After an unknown amount of time, Colin heard the sound of a door opening. His heart stirred, but he didn't rush out. Instead, he waited until the sound of the door opening continued, then he turned the metal doorknob and walked out, arriving at the entrance of the long house.
Ms. Anna stood with her arms crossed, her plump figure calm, and her long legs in a leather skirt attracted the attention of many male students.
More students were whispering to each other, their excitement barely concealed.
"Mil, I feel that my strength and speed have greatly improved. What about you?"
"I feel much more energetic. Our family's bloodline focuses on enhancing vitality."
Colin turned his head to look at the two male students on his left, who seemed to be sons of wealthy merchants.
"Colin, how do you feel?" Bill's voice came from the right. Colin turned his head, and a wave of perfume immediately hit his nose.
"My strength has improved somewhat," Colin said calmly. He wouldn't reveal his secret to anyone, even though Bill was his friend.
"Strength, huh." Bill stroked his clean chin and said, "I've improved my speed."
"That's the power of bloodlines. Because we have various bloodlines, our knights have developed into all kinds of powerful individuals." Colin pretended to be moved.
"Yes." Bill nodded heavily.
Soon, Ms. Anna led them away from there and back to the classroom of Class 5. In the morning, they had etiquette and literature classes, and in the afternoon, they had oil painting, riding, and swordsmanship classes.
Whether it was cultural classes or riding, swordsmanship, and physical training, Colin worked extremely hard. He couldn't let Linda and Smith's efforts go to waste; he had to strive to become a knight.
The academy did not test the students' bloodlines, but the students boasted about their improved strength, agility, and vitality.
It seemed like nothing had changed, but in reality, there was a significant change. In cultural classes, it wasn't noticeable, but during riding, swordsmanship, and physical training, the students' abilities had clearly improved.
The students were all showing off their newfound strength.
But Colin hadn't improved at all. However, he was usually a marginal figure, and few people paid attention to him. On the first day, he didn't get caught, but over time, he would definitely be found out.
But Bill saw through Colin.
After school, the good friends all carried their backpacks and training swords and walked out of the classroom together. Colin and Bill were no different, and they soon arrived at the school gate.
Their homes were in opposite directions, so they would always say goodbye and part ways. But today, Bill hesitated for a moment before saying to Colin, "Colin, I want to go to the bookstore to buy some books. Will you come with me?"
"Sure." Colin looked deeply at Bill and nodded.
The two then headed to a familiar bookstore. The sun was setting, casting long shadows. As they moved further away from the school, the surrounding students gradually decreased until there were none left.
Bill carefully looked around and then turned to ask Colin, "Colin, did your bloodline not improve?"
"Yes." After seeing the students show off their improved abilities in the afternoon, Colin knew he couldn't completely hide it. He decided to deny the system and pretend his bloodline improvement failed.
"I'm very sorry." Although Bill had guessed, he was still very sad to hear Colin say it.
"It's okay." Seeing Bill's low spirits, Colin felt a warmth in his heart and patted Bill's shoulder.
Bill hesitated again and then said, "Colin, didn't you ask me before if there were any part-time jobs available? There's a job with good pay and comfortable conditions. Do you want to try it?"
Colin was taken aback. He had indeed asked Bill before, as Bill had many connections. But Bill had always said there were none. Why today?
Colin wasn't very interested in the job anymore; he now hoped to quickly gain a deeper understanding of the system and learn useful skills.
But before learning any skills, earning some money might not be bad?
What kind of job has good pay and is comfortable?
"What job?" Colin asked curiously.
"Don't ask. I guarantee it has good pay and is comfortable." Bill hesitated and then quickly said, "I'll come to your house on Saturday."
Like on Earth, the empire has seven days in a week. The academy is off on Saturdays and Sundays.
"Okay." Seeing Bill's unusual hesitation, Colin became even more curious about the job but didn't press further, just nodding.
"Don't be sad, Colin. Being extraordinary isn't everything in life. Even if you're not extraordinary, life can still be very fulfilling." Bill hugged Colin, then let go and waved, saying, "See you, Colin."
"See you, Bill." Colin nodded and watched Bill turn and walk away, gradually disappearing into the distance. Then Colin turned and headed home.
After arriving home, Colin took off his leather shoes, bent down to pick up his blue slippers, and put them on. Linda, hearing the commotion, came out and warmly hugged and kissed Colin, but Colin's reaction was cold.
"You seem to have something on your mind?" Linda tilted her head and looked at Colin, then smiled mischievously, asking, "Could it be that you have a crush?"
Colin stumbled, almost falling to the ground. His sister's mind was a bit quirky. He was indeed distracted, but he was thinking about how to learn skills.
Colin shook his head vigorously and said, "No way, I'm only twelve. How could I have a crush?" After saying that, Colin ran upstairs.
Linda was very persistent, and if he didn't run fast, he would definitely be caught.
"Ha ha ha. Little Colin. Don't be shy. Having a crush at twelve is normal. I tackled and kissed a handsome boy when I was eight." Linda's silver laughter echoed from behind.
Colin's forehead bulged with veins. You, you shameless woman, and you're proud of it. At eight years old!!
After entering his room, Colin took off his jacket, put down his training sword, placed his backpack on the desk, and then dived onto the bed, lying down quickly.
"How should I use my skill points to learn skills?"
