Ever since the 16-year-old him disappeared, Song Ning’s heart had never beaten this fast again.

He didn’t know when the current Liang Rong began to have feelings for himself, exactly the same as the younger one. This confession came so unexpectedly.

Song Ning watched as Liang Rong take out a watch from his pocket, the very same one he returned to him not long ago.

Liang Rong held his hand and put the watch back on his wrist.

“You promised me before that you wouldn’t take it off.” Liang Rong said.

There was a slight sulkiness in his tone as he spoke.

Dumbfounded, Song Ning lowered his head and carefully stared at the watch that he put on his wrist. For quite a while, he didn’t know what to say.

He knew exactly who the person standing in front of him in this moment was, yet there was still a split second where he felt like he saw that 16-year-old him again.

Liang Rong took out a brand-new wristwatch right after that. It was filled with diamonds on the surface that sparkled so much that Song Ning could hardly keep his eyes open.

“This is?”

Liang Rong said, “It’s a gift to Ah Ning, from the 30-year-old me.”

Song Ning’s heart took a big leap. He sniffled a little and said, “This is too expensive.”

“It’s not. I’m the spokesperson and they gave me a discount.”

Song Ning couldn’t help but curl up the corners of his lips. “But how can I even wear two wristwatches at the same time?”

Liang Rong smiled as well. “Then I’ll save it until the day you accept me and wear it.”

Song Ning’s eyes slowly reddened as he kept on smiling.

The past few months had him constantly running away, neither daring to tell Liang Rong about the past nor dare to hope for a future.

Yet, now that he had made up his mind to stay by Liang Rong’s side as a normal psychiatrist and watch him live on with traces of Xiao Liang, the heavens decided to play another prank on him.

Song Ning began to falter. There was no way he could refuse Liang Rong, just as he couldn’t refuse the 16-year-old him as well.

This person could always make Song Ning lose his principles for him, again and again.

Liang Rong said, “Ah Ning, I can’t turn back time to 14 years ago, but I want to date you again with my current identity.”

Right this moment, Song Ning could hear something in his heart finally disintegrate, bit by bit. He nodded while looking at this man who appeared countless times in his dream and said, “Okay.”

Dating the same person for the second time was a really fascinating feeling.

On Monday, Song Ning stayed at the clinic until 6 o’clock. He was changing his clothes and preparing to get off work when he heard the receptionist call out to him. “Dr. Song, someone’s looking for you.”

Song Ning thought another patient had arrived and hurriedly went out to greet him.

Instead, he saw Liang Rong wearing a bright yellow hoodie shirt with big, black sunglasses at the reception desk, chatting. When he heard the sound of Song Ning’s footsteps, he immediately looked over and gave him a bright smile.

Song Ning was in trance for a moment before grabbing Liang Rong’s hand and pulled him into his office.

“You don’t have to dress up like this on purpose. I’m not trying to take you for him.” Song Ning said.

It was Liang Rong’s turn to be frozen this time. After a long while did he react, “These aren’t his clothes. They are sponsored by a brand I recently endorsed.”

Liang Rong explained, “I’ve liked to dress like this since I was a kid, but the company said it didn’t fit my image so I rarely dress up like this.”

Song Ning awkwardly pursed his lips together before saying, “Sorry. It was too similar when I glanced over just now.”

Liang Rong laughed and asked expectantly, “Was it really that similar? Then, can you call me ‘baby’ as well in the future?”

Song Ning blushed, “W-What baby? That’s too cheesy. I never called you that before.”

Liang Rong lowered his gaze in disappointed. “Ah Ning, you weren’t like this before. It’s true that men are not as likable when they turn older.”
