When Liang Rong was done with a set of photos, he saw Song Ning smiling while holding a cup of coffee with his head lowered.

“What’s making you so happy?” Liang Rong asked.

Song Ning immediately raised his head. “Oh, it’s nothing. Are you done with the shoot?”

“Almost. There’s still the last set. Are you hungry? Do you want me to ask my assistant to buy some food over?”

“It’s okay. I’ll wait for you to get off work.” Song Ning looked at him fondly, the corners of his eyes were laced with traces of a faint smile.

At the sight of that, Liang Rong’s mind went blank and couldn’t help but take Song Ning’s hands.

“What’s wrong?” Song Ning asked.

Liang Rong said, “I kind of want to kiss you.”

18.

Of course Liang Rong didn’t do that. There were so many people he knew around them. No matter how much he wanted to brag about his relationship, he couldn’t do it in such a situation.

Song Ning blushed and pushed him away, “Hurry up and get changed. Your stylist has been waiting for you.”

He pointed at a handsome gentleman wearing glasses standing not far away.

Liang Rong glanced over and said, “Oh, he’s not the stylist, but the deputy director of the cloth sponsor.”

Song Ning said casually, “The deputy director is so handsome. I think he can shoot a magazine by himself.”

Liang Rong’s hands that were holding Song Ning’s, suddenly tightened their grip.

Song Ning hurriedly added, “But of course, he still can’t compare to the film emperor.”

19.

It was already eight o’clock when the shooting ended. Song Ning followed Liang Rong’s assistant’s car to leave the studio together.

On the way back, the manager was in the car as well. He took out a document and passed it to Liang Rong.

“An invitation I received today. It’s a new reality show by Half Fairy TV. The theme is about celebrities experiencing life out on the fields, a total of 12 episodes. What do you think?”

Liang Rong leaned back in his seat and said disinterestedly, “You know I never go on reality shows.”

“Each guest can bring along a non-artist friend to join.” The manager glanced over at Song Ning, “I think it’d garner quite a lot of hype and discussion.”

Liang Rong instantly straightened his back. He looked straight at Song Ning and although he didn’t say anything, anticipation was written across his face.

Song Ning found this sight quite amusing. He was all too familiar with that look of his, because 16-year-old Liang Rong also used the exact same expression to beg Song Ning in taking him to the amusement park.

20.

This matter came somewhat suddenly, so Song Ning tugged on Liang Rong’s sleeve and whispered, “I don’t know if it’d suit me. I’ve never been on TV before after all, I don’t know anything.”

Liang Rong smiled, “It’s okay. It’ll be fine as long as we’re suitable for each other.”

Song Ning shyly bowed his head.

The manager sitting in the passenger seat looked over his shoulder and rubbed his eyes.

Liang Rong replied to his manager, “Let’s agree to two episodes first. If Ah Ning doesn’t like it after trying it out, we won’t go anymore.”

The manager: “Alright. But you need to control yourself a little too. Don’t go overboard. It’s not a romance show after all.”

Liang Rong faintly replied, “I got it.”

21.

It didn’t take long after that for Liang Rong to sign up as the guest for the ‘Half Fairy Farm’ reality show. The first episode’s recording would begin in a week.

Liang Rong came to pick up Song Ning from work on this day. While they were on the way, he asked Song Ning, “I received the script for our parts in the reality show today. Do you want to come over and study it together?”

Song Ning didn’t quite understand. “A reality show has scripts too?”

Liang Rong was focused on driving but he explained it slowly to Song Ning. “Although most reality shows do rely on the guests’ adlibs, but part of the content are told in advance to prevent any uncontrollable situations. Everyone has a fixed persona too for others to get used to.”

Song Ning had seen the word ‘persona’ online multiple times and felt that Liang Rong, as someone who was in the entertainment industry couldn’t be wrong. So, he agreed to go home together with Liang Rong to discuss the script.

22.

Ever since Liang Rong had recovered, Song Ning rarely came over to his house anymore. It had been almost half a year since he last visited.

The two of them immediately saw the caretaker auntie the second they entered the house. This auntie had been working for Liang Rong’s household for many years now and would come over every evening to make dinner and clean up.

Song Ning used to chat with her when he came over as a psychiatrist. The auntie liked him a lot.

After not seeing him for such a long time, the auntie was overjoyed. She hurriedly put down the vacuum cleaner and ran to greet Song Ning.

Song Ning was really happy as well and chatted with her for a long time. While they talked, Liang Rong walked passed silently behind them.

The auntie asked Song Ning, “Why did you suddenly come over today? Is there something wrong with Mr. Liang’s brain again?”

Song Ning glanced over at Liang Rong, noticing him sneaking out a box of newly bought condoms from his pocket and hid them in the living room’s drawer.

Song Ning turned back to her and replied, “Yes, it’s quite bad.”

T/N: The caretaker asked if his brain is ‘坏’ again – which means if there were any issues, did it get damaged again etc, referring to maybe mental health issues, but Song Ning replied with yes, it’s quite ‘坏 ‘which in this context, means he’s quite mischievous/misbehaving instead. A double meaning, basically.
